Rust and wood texture in miniature. Part of a 1/16th scale diorama in progress. Thanks for the real world inspiration!
A pile or rusty...well Im not sure what they are, I dont think they are railroad ties, but whatever they are they are pretty rusty.
A close-up of a small section of a quirky dump truck at the Jellystone Park campground in Hagerstown, MD. You can view the whole truck here.
My my, hey hey
Rock and roll is here to stay
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away
My my, hey hey.
Out of the blue
and into the black
They give you this,
but you pay for that
And once you're gone,
you can never come back
When you're out of the blue
and into the black.
The king is gone
but he's not forgotten
This is the story
of a Johnny Rotten
It's better to burn out
than it is to rust
The king is gone
but he's not forgotten.
Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die
There's more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
Hey hey, my my.

This was a really fun month! At first I thought it would be hard, but then I started looking around. I love how this challenge makes us see everyday things creatively. And I even had two pictures Explored!
This has also been a personally challenging month. We learned two weeks ago that my husband's cancer is no longer treatable, and that it is just a matter of time. I have managed to keep up with my picture taking, but have not had time for as many comments as I would like. Photography has been my therapy through these past few difficult months, and Flickr is my "happy place" where I go to relax and escape. What I especially love about this group is that the pictures can be as creative or "easy" as I choose, depending on how much time I have on any given day. So thank you, my Flickr friends, for being here! And please forgive my sparseness in commenting for the time being.
