Just back from a film job.

Giving a salute to the brand new container vessel "Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller" on its maiden port call at Rotterdam

There's every chance that this will reach Crystal Palace, unlike today!

This RT was employed until 2009 on tour services to the large Forest Park on the outskirts of Innistoige. It remains at the storage depot of the company, having been replaced by a Leyland Atlantean and a Plaxton President for the 2010 season

Many other preserved vehicles visited Barking on the last day of RTs, feeling that a mark of respect was fitting for such an historic event. Although not part of the official cavalcade many vehicles followed, as seen here by RT 2799 in Longbridge Road, being followed by an RF and another RT. RT 2799 was acquired by Blue Triangle six months earlier in October 1978. Saturday 7th April 1979 5A-8.

Looking immaculate without advertisements and revealing a spotlessly clean engine, preserved RT 1597 is in Madeira Drive, Brighton. HCVC rally day. Sunday 7th May 1978. 4F-8.

The South East corner was once referred to as 'RT land', as between 1958 and 1967 virtually all double-deck services in that area were RT worked. Omo types encroached in 1968 and it was not until 1975 that RMs made a real impact. Large allocations of RTs survived until 1977/1978 and one of the very last routes, the 94 survived until August 1978. In this view of RT 2135 (TL) outside Bromley garage, the driver has just rolled the blind forward for the return destination on long route 1. Friday 17th January 1975. 2F-7.
