My Little Roxy by Photographer in Alberta

This is my lil Roxy girl. She is almost 6 yrs old. She is my little teddy bear. She is a Maltese and Pomeranian cross ( her dad was a tiny pure bred Maltese)She is our other little dog, Maggie Muggins, half sister. They had the same dad.She is my little heart dog..my shadow. She follows me every where. She even has to be in the washroom when I am bathing. She just lays on the floor mat and waits for me to get out.I know I am not supposed to have favorites ..but sshhhhhh...she is mine.The other dogs each have a kennel of their own and they sleep in them.Not Roxy...she sleepson the bed. She is super cuddly with me and tolerates other people. Both her and Maggie go to a doggy spa for grooming and they are due to go on the 25th. They do a teddy bear cut on her. She really needs to have a grooming but thought I would share some photos of her today. :)

Abby and the girls are going camping in Dorset with a friend of Abby's and her daughters. Are you all sleeping in the big tent, I asked. Apparently the two Mums and little ones are sleeping in the big tent . . . and the giggling hyenas are in the small tent!

Had a lovely time at the pantomime on Saturday for P's birthday and then a good meal at a local Italian restaurant courtesy of Ben. Yesterday was our usual Elsie/Roxy day - which went well, but with few photo opportunities.

Abby said that Ben had dressed Roxy and had put her dress on back to front (as seen in pic) . . . which is now a new baby fashion, because I turned the dress round after her lunch, which meant the front of her dress was then clean for the afternoon. Good, eh?

I have a cold and have had a Bourbon to make me temporarily better. The decorating is finished and looks great - despite the fretting builder who said the sun hadn't shone today. And what has that to do with it? Well, apparently it will show up any little imperfection which can then be put right. I jest not. What a great man! Had a lovely day with Roxy, despite her teething. I have taught her alliterations - biting bunny's bottom badly . . . a side effect of teething . . .

Today Roxy initiated the beginnings of role play. And like Elsie's it has started off based on Nursery. Time for you to sleep, Grangran, she said. I had a bad night last night and I thought - how nice. Cushions were placed on the rug and I lay down and was covered with a blanket and given a little Miffy to cuddle. This is good, I thought. But then, after 2 minutes my nap was over - Get Up, Grangran. It's time to stand up!

I am not being a very good contact at the moment - lots of things happening in the kitchen that I need to be thinking about. Peter and I are beginning to be pleased we don't speak Bulgarian - I'm not sure I want to know what is being said! Before I left this morning I insisted on the original measurements being adhered to - because we want to be able to open the oven and take out pans without climbing in because there is no room to stand in front of it! (I know Elsie thinks I'm a witch, but that is ridiculous!)

Oh, and to top it all, the not very old cheap boiler the people before put in a few months before they moved has packed up. Tomorrow our friendly boiler people whom we have used for years are installing a new one as it makes no sense to spend hundreds of pounds trying to figure why this one keeps leaking and going wrong. We could have done without this at the moment.

we picked up Roxy from school (Elsie has a two week half term and she was staying with a friend). Roxy decided she'd like her photo taken doing aerial splits on the equipement in the garden. I did warn her that her school uniform was frevealing flying skirt and knickers . . . thus they will not be appearing here. Stella was quite accommodting as she jumped about tugging on Roxy's skirt, although Roxy told her to stop!

Originally built as an Opera House in 1906, the Roxy Theatre in Neepawa MB has seen it's share of activity and change throughout the years. No longer viable as just a theater and in bad need of repair, the residents of Neepawa banded together in late 80's to purchase and restore the facility. Community owned and volunteer operated is, what I believe, the real success story behind this grand old structure.

And you might have guessed, as a teenager, I watched many shows from the balcony of this fine theatre.

Leeton, NSW

This heritage listed art deco theatre was opened on 7 April 1930 purely for use as a cinema. In 1933 a stage was added and it was officially opened by Australia's most famous and internationally celebrated singer of that time, Gladys Moncrief, known affectionately as "Our Glad".

Since 1933 the theatre has operated continuously providing both film and live entertainment to residents of Leeton and the surrounding area. The Roxy film screen is one of the largest roll-up mechanized screens in Australia measuring approximately 16 metres wide by 8 metres high.

Both Elsie and Roxy are doing gymnastics and aerial this year. Elsie is doing PE as an O level subject. Roxy takes affter Elsie in treating all the movements very seriously - and like Elsie, she is graceful too.

we went to east London yesterday to celebrate belatedly with Roxy. We had been steered towards a new movable Barbie with accesories - something I would have to be steered towards as I don't like dolls, Barbies, clowns etc . . . but do like animals and bears like Edward. However, back to Roxy, she was very pleased and because the accesories were seaside oriented she put her bikini on and got in the tin tub in the garden to play with them. Sit with me, Grangran - I don't want to be on my own.
