For those who follow my journal ...you will know that Roxy is mad about horses. In fact, when she grows up she wants to be a horse. She is lucky enough to have an aunt, Abby’s brother’s partner, who is also mad about horses...so much so that she was the British side saddle champion. She and Charlie live in her stable yard in containers that Charlie has made into their home, since they are unable to build a permanent residence there.. The BEARS spent last weekend there....

Peter and I are in Norfolk, so I am taking a Flickr rest for the week, but will be posting a couple more Roxy pics that Abby took. Back soon ...

I had my first Roxy day today. Abby is still breastfeeding, so this means that I entertain Roxy when she's awake and when she starts to fidget with her eyes try to help her go to sleep. Abby, in the meantime, works up in her attic studio. Roxy had 3 jabs yesterday, was a little grumpy today, but all in all she seemed to respond to the strange woman with specs!

So far I have maintained a distance from Roxy, because of sensitivity for Elsie. Now I'm embarking on the best of both worlds . . . wish me luck when they collide!

We tried to make Roxy a snuggly bed in the shade by the shed for an afternoon nap. The duvet and cushions and blanket were far more appealing, however, to Elsie, who lay down and looked prepared to snooze. In the end Roxy chose to nap in her buggy, a more familiar place to kip. We had a lovely day.

On Monday we are picking up Elsie from school and spending the evening in east London celebrating Peter's birthday (now past)

On Tuesday we are going to Glouceste to visit my brother and Peter's sister and partner and having and evening meal with them . . .

This is my lil Roxy girl. She is almost 6 yrs old. She is my little teddy bear. She is a Maltese and Pomeranian cross ( her dad was a tiny pure bred Maltese)She is our other little dog, Maggie Muggins, half sister. They had the same dad.She is my little heart dog..my shadow. She follows me every where. She even has to be in the washroom when I am bathing. She just lays on the floor mat and waits for me to get out.I know I am not supposed to have favorites ..but sshhhhhh...she is mine.The other dogs each have a kennel of their own and they sleep in them.Not Roxy...she sleepson the bed. She is super cuddly with me and tolerates other people. Both her and Maggie go to a doggy spa for grooming and they are due to go on the 25th. They do a teddy bear cut on her. She really needs to have a grooming but thought I would share some photos of her today. :)

Abby and the girls are going camping in Dorset with a friend of Abby's and her daughters. Are you all sleeping in the big tent, I asked. Apparently the two Mums and little ones are sleeping in the big tent . . . and the giggling hyenas are in the small tent!

Had a lovely time at the pantomime on Saturday for P's birthday and then a good meal at a local Italian restaurant courtesy of Ben. Yesterday was our usual Elsie/Roxy day - which went well, but with few photo opportunities.

Roxy loves sitting to see the world and play with the things around her. Her back is very strong. Sometimes she lies on her back and rolls over and sometimes she lies on her tummy and tries to pull her knees under her, but mainly she does Roxy-style press-ups. And sometimes, she just rests!

I shall start my catch up now - but . . . how far I shall get I don't know as we are going to Sadler's Wells tomorrow night (Pina Bausch) and we have been invited for a meal by our neighbours on Saturday . . . so will drop in as and when . . .

Abby said that Ben had dressed Roxy and had put her dress on back to front (as seen in pic) . . . which is now a new baby fashion, because I turned the dress round after her lunch, which meant the front of her dress was then clean for the afternoon. Good, eh?

I have a cold and have had a Bourbon to make me temporarily better. The decorating is finished and looks great - despite the fretting builder who said the sun hadn't shone today. And what has that to do with it? Well, apparently it will show up any little imperfection which can then be put right. I jest not. What a great man! Had a lovely day with Roxy, despite her teething. I have taught her alliterations - biting bunny's bottom badly . . . a side effect of teething . . .

Roxy needed a little persuading to have her photo taken - she took me out into the garden which was fortuitous because it started to rain and we were able to bring the washing in, even before Abby yelled from the loft that it was raining! And so we landed up in the kitchen and then by the front door. She was her usual whirlwind self.

we picked up Roxy from school (Elsie has a two week half term and she was staying with a friend). Roxy decided she'd like her photo taken doing aerial splits on the equipement in the garden. I did warn her that her school uniform was frevealing flying skirt and knickers . . . thus they will not be appearing here. Stella was quite accommodting as she jumped about tugging on Roxy's skirt, although Roxy told her to stop!
