I so adore her.... thank you Rocco for bring us so much joy nd beauty.
Never been a huge fan of this character for some reason, but I had an idea for how to do her hair/helmet so I gave it a shot. All-in-all I think it turned out well enough.

I spent the weekend reading up on the wet-plate collodion processing technique and trying to replicate "the look". It made me realize how much work it was in the 19th century to produce a photo. Dangerous too, if you weren't careful with all those chemicals. :-)

Roxy was enjoying the sunshine with a zoom around the yard yesterday (Easter) before the clouds and rain rolled in.
This is Roxy my new Kitten I had tried to get a rescue cat around 12 months or less but all were older and needed to have access to a garden Roxy will be a house cat :) She's just over 8 weeks.
Just a couple of shots with my Coolpix.
The flash came on but her eyes are closed :)

I spent this morning looking after Roxy. Although this was taken yesterday. I had helped her turn over on her tummy. Her back is now quite strong and she was wriggling her legs trying to get them underneath her. Hope I shall be able to keep up with her when she starts crawling!

Phone shot it was taken at a angle but was squint so had to level it that's why her ears are not showing.

Elsie wasn't at school yesterday. She was still under the weather, heavy eyelids, cough and cold and so listless . . .

it has been snowing here today, for the first time this year.
Roxy is now gone, she suffered from a cascade of medical issues that hit hard and fast, it was a rough on her at the end. She was great one day, then the following day she was really bad and got worse...like someone flipped a switch. We frantically tried to find answers, get help, but there was no answers and no help. 6 days of degradation, the wife and I made the call. She needed peace, comfort...we let her go.
Roxy was 18, led a fantastic life and made this old man really happy.
So, all 3 of our girls are gone, but we will carry them with us for as long as we have.
