A friend asked me if I could shoot some pictures of him. Of course I agreed and we met on the rooftop for a quick session. It was very cold but we had a nice and clear blue sky, some sun from the side and thus I needed only a single flash in a softbox as fill light. I'm quite happy with the results.

It was a very cold day today here in Moncton: -20C or less. We are definitely in the deep freeze this week. Weather forecasters are saying this week will be the coldest week of the winter.

With no multi-story buildings at my disposal, the opportunities for rooftop photos is very limited, but I have often found inspiration for the challenge close to home. In fact, this shot was taken from my office window.
Captured this artifact at Orchard Central (Shopping mall) rooftop. The designer should be illustrating "One step at a time", as the wired guy and the wired stairs is made of the same material and is pointing towards the sky.
