Different variety of Indian Paintbrush than the normal Castilleja Indivisa (aka. Texas Paintbrush or Entireleaf Indian Paintbrush). These are known as Harsh Indian Paintbrush or Castilleja Hispida
On the way to Barnstable on Cape Cod, I came by this garden on the side of the road. I just had to find a place to pull over. Not often you see such a wealth of yellow flowers.
Happy Sunday all! (It's a rainy day here)
I was on my way to Kelly Lake in Clinton and passed by this lovely scene. It was etched in my memory so after not really getting what I wanted at Kelly Lake I went back and took the shot basically standing on the Hwy. Enjoy the photo I risked my life getting. Please watch the video of the shenanigans below. Kris..
When it started raining on our park hike he drove down the main road with our windows opened to see what we could find. The trails are so wet that most of the deer are right on the roadside.
Myakka River State Park in Sarasota, FL.
Captured along a Vermont roadside as a Truck Thursday candidate, the early autumn color was a nice bonus.

What a splendid feeling to awaken to the sound of rain. I had a sense the flowers and plants would be celebrating the opportunity to soak their roots.

Certainly, the daffodils are on the wane but I spotted this lovely bunch just outside the village. If you look closely you will see that I not only shot these lovely flowers but at least 5 tiny flies. 😉Also, in the blurred background is St. Fiaac's Church guarding the entrance into Clonegal.

I don't remember where I snapped this scene during a recent road trip, but it was probably somewhere in North Carolina. It seemed like a fit for Truck Thursday.
