Seen along Harbor Road in Wells.

Happy Floral Friday!

How about this for a snap. Taken last Friday on the way to wood I had to park up after seeing the sky glow through my rear view mirror. I don’t usually stop the car to get these much capture events much to my chagrin. I can never find anyway to park the car and I’m always to anxious to stop the car on the roadside. I took the photo with a little Sony RX100vi which I’m very impressed with. IT’s a bit expensive for what it is, but it has to be the best compact I’v ever owned. Still on the subject of driving, I going down to Hertfordshire later on this morning and that always gets me anxious, I’m always on edge before a journey and have to keep going to the loo. The irony is the thing I’m so anxious about is how far I get without having to plan a toilet stop, C’est la vie.

A roadside photo of Chrome hill taken a week ago. We had just spent a lovely time in the @highpeakbookstorecafe a great place to take the Grandchildren on a wet morning. It ticks all the boxes, Nonno and Nonna get their coffee fix and them we get spend more money on Lily and Joey as they choose a nice book from the shop. I’m lucky if I see these two twice a year but whenever we can’t help but to indulge them. Then as a reward Nonno gets to drive down a country road and look for somewhere to stop to take a photo. The xf70-300mm lens is very useful sat times like these when my legs don’t work :-) Question, should we just move here, two grandchildren on the doorstep, 2hrs and 1hr of the journey time to the others.

Guess I'll start naming these from the original. I took a little road trip in October and captured this scene on the back roads in Michigan.

A rainbow from along the roadside in Wyoming. There is the barest hint of a second rainbow above it.

We did a whirlwind tour of Sequoia National Park a couple days ago before we headed further down to southern California. I always feel like there's not enough time to soak it in.

Iceland have this particularity to surprise us ... even when the show starts and we are "forced" to stop on the roadside. ^_^

I love fall. It's my favorite season of the year. One of the best passtimes is exploring back roads. This road in particular was rewarding!.

After an unsuccessful night in Buxton me and Chris retreated home to find that it was clear so we went out again to shoot some trucks for his new uni project... this was my take on his most recent upload...

30 second stacks for 15 minutes, lit by the moon and by an oncoming car....

We were driving when we noticed a small crowd of people on the side of the road. Pulled over in what was basically a giant puddle of a parking spot and found this: Iceland is that country where you get waterfalls pretty much everywhere lol

These roadside shrines are common in France and other countries in Europe but quite rare in the UK. This one was erected in 1919 to commemorate a Saxon burial ground that was found nearby

While visiting my sister in Victoria, Texas April 2021 we did some touring of wineries that were close by. Along the way we stopped on the roadside when we saw a potential photo shoot. The wineries of course had their own scenic landscapes with the grape vines and the river close by. One of three barns within a few yards of each other, taken on Christmas Eve. Left my husband sitting in the car and ran out into the light but chilly snowstorm. Last photographed these barns in December 2017, before snow had fallen, but they are gorgeous barns in any weather...

Well we were on our way back from visiting Myra Falls in Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island and I spotted this tiny falls on the side of the road by seeing the creek flow under the highway. I stopped and made my way upstream to find this beautiful little falls which I have no Idea if it's named or not. Please enjoy and let me know if you have an idea of its name!! Kris...

Photographed near Laramie Wyoming in rain, fog, through tinted windows and near freezing temps at a high speed and a high ISO. Awesome adventure!

As the common name suggests, Roadside Hawk is often found in developed areas. Even though widespread and well-nigh ubiquitous, it is an impressive raptor with piercing eyes. This bird was near the Aztlan Ecological Park in Ixtapa, Guerrero State, Mexico.
