A macro image of my wife's eye. Not a proper macro. A magnifier that screws on to the front of your lens.
The Cassius Blue butterfly is a dime-sized beauty that flutters all over my garden in what seems to be in random directions. They are shy and almost unapproachable but can get fairly comfortable when they land on something they like. Their presence heralds the summer heat.
Canon EOS SL1, EF100 2.8 Macro USM, F14, 1/200, ISO 100, Sigma EM-140 DG Ringlight.
Another of Christie then...
I dunno if I'll ever get enough photos of this young lady. So many different looks, so much to give, so many ideas, and never scared to try anything. She's pretty fecking cool. Anyway, in the meantime, instead of me going on for ages, go click her stream:
Revel in the fact she's shit hot. Revel in her paintings too actually, as they're really cool. I point you to this one particularly: Clicky one which is flat out brilliant, and also to this one, which Wellington locals will recognise; Clicky two. And I'll also draw your attention to this one which I own because I think it's so cool! :-)
Show the girl some love, as she's a freaking genius!
(Strobist/flash info: 580 EXII directly behind model, full zoom, half power, and another 580 EXII into Orbis ringlight face on to the model (obviously) both fired via Cybersyncs. Orbis set to approx 1/8th power from memory, and all shot in a fairly dark room to achieve the large pupils. Note, watch for red-eye if you're gonna give it a go!)

Me and My family.
Inspired by one user here which i couldnt find anymore.
Gear used: Nikon D750 + Sigma 50mm 1.4 ART + Ringlight
Some friends asked about photo of my equipments, so here they are. Only some of them though, but these are my main set.
may be i should write a few note on those lens.
Tokina 12-24mm, my wide angle, very well built and constant f/4 is very nice.
Tamron 90mm macro, very sweet lens for me. always want to upgrade to 105mm VR but result from this lens always change my mind, and it's very light lens to carry too :)
Nikkor 50mm f/1.4, the only lens i will carry for night walk, very small and quality is so good !
Nikkor 85mm f/1.4, if i want the best image and bokeh quality, this is the one !
70-200mm f/2.8 VR, my most expensive and heaviest lens :) but really worth the price :)
70-300mm VR, 1/3 the price of 70-200mm and half the weight too. to be honest, i'm so impressed with the result. if i don't want to carry that 1470g of 70-200mm, this is a much lighter alternative :)
Lensbaby, if nothing else work for me, this is the one to spark my creative idea :)
Strobist: AB Ringlight in moon unit upper camera left 1/16 power; SB900 1/16 power pointed at backdrop. Pocket wizard trigger.

This photo is virtually as it was off camera. A few corrections to remove the reflections from the ringlight, minor cropping, and some dust removal. All the colours are 'as was'. As with the previous shell shots, this is a 1:1 macro shot of a 1cm diameter shell.
Exposure: 2 sec
Aperture: f/32
Focal Length: 60 mm
ISO Speed: 100
New addition to my ODD lenses. Now I will use these microscopic objectives with my Nikon camera. Eager to see the results.

I'm of an age now where my clothing choices are based on three criteria.
1.) How warm is it?
2.) Is it waterproof?
3.) How much is knocked off in the sale?
Macro Monday's theme this week was 'zipper' so I grabbed a shot of the zip on my Buffalo Special 6 Shirt, my current favourite piece of clothing. It's the warmest coat I've ever owned and I'm loving it in the current weather when watching lacrosse at the weekends.
the large version has cool eye circles that I'd call "catchlights" if I knew anything about it?

Tepa Putul
Tepa Putul or indigenous clay dolls have their origins in the images of deities, made by potters. They are shaped by hand, dried in the sun and fired in kilns. Originally, there were never painted.
Tepa Putul were not made for sale. These dolls were generally gift items or for sacrifice. At some point, artisans faced financial crises and began looking for alternative means of earning money. Thus they started selling these dolls. Now the dolls are painted in yellow, red, green and black. (The Daily Star)
