Nearly finished rigging my character now. I looked at using the famous Norman rig off the internet but I was wasting too much time trying to figure out how to rearrange it to work with my character so I scrapped that and started building one of my own. Had some issues with connecting some controls but was helped by James, thanks mate. Trying to get ready to rough out the animation by early next week.
Drill rig used to drill into the bedrock on Gruvefjellet, a plateau mountain in the Longyeardalen valley (464 m). The drill rig is owned by the company SINTEF. It took only 2 hours to drill down to 6 m. Afterwards a thermistor cable was installed to record permafrost temperatures every meter. The data is online available under 158.39.11.100:8080/.

Robert was a mechanic, welder, pilot. He ran a garage in Fairport in 1946-47. He then worked as a pumper in the Bemis oilfield for Sohio Oil Co. Later he moved to Russell working with his brothers for an oilfield trucking company. Then he became a driller & drilling rig tool pusher. Robert was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying airplanes, one of the things he did was to fly over Fairport.
This young boy has Down Syndrome. He was singing "I'm proud to be an American..." along with the band that was playing, at the top of his lungs. When he finished singing, he looked at me with a big smile, bowed low, and said, "Thank you very much!"

Video test was perfect, although brightnes and contrast settings of my viewfinder need some adjustment.

Bare Bones! I built this long ago, but have just added it in kit form to www.brooxes.com.
This one has the gentLED-AUTO shutter trigger, but any small camera that has an interval timer will work. That includes those with internal intervalometers, any Canon with CHDK, or any camera triggerable by infrared such as this Canon S70.
Could barely see this object in the ocean. Took a shot thru a type of plexi-glass tarp covering the windows to keep the sea spray out. Had to edit to see anything...

Ipswich Loco Men's Club & Institute fire, Station Street, 1950.
These photographs depict the life of the fire service in the town and neighbouring areas. Retired Ipswich fireman John Harvey bought four of Billy Griss's photo albums – he was a former fire service colleague and good amateur photographer. The photographs are annotated from the albums, supplemented by John’s memories.
John Harvey was born in Fletcher Road Ipswich and spent his childhood on Priory Heath, schooled entirely at Priory Heath. His further education was at Ipswich Civic College. He joined Suffolk and Ipswich Fire Service as a cadet in 1964, passing out and serving as a firefighter at Colchester Road and Bond Street Fire Stations until 1972. He was a Leading Firefighter in Ipswich from 1972-74, being involved in some high-profile rescues and fires in the Ipswich area. In 1974, he was promoted to Sub-Officer training, being an instructor at the Lowestoft recruit training centre; then Breathing Apparatus head instructor and Instructor for internal courses and all training for industrial firefighters including those on North Sea oil and gas rigs. John was also heavily involved with breathing apparatus at the major ship fire on the Montevideo at Felixstowe Dock. From 1978-1998 he was Sub-Officer operational at Colchester Road, then at Princes Street in the last four years, working most of his career at the busiest fire stations in Suffolk.

This one weighs in at 1020g (2.25 lb) ready to fly, using the so-called kit lens (18-55mm).
Pole Photography attachment, so i can lift my camera up to 6-8metres on a carp pole to get an elevated view.
I built this rig on 6th December 2008, The cutting of the pipe is a bit rough, because I built it, tested it, and have not needed to make any adjustments to the design. the top hole and the bottom hole that the pole goes through are both the same size.
