3:365 Jan 3. Today, I had to pick up my wife at the Rig Steak House because her car broke down. While this isn't the Rig's sign, it is taken from the Rig's parking lot. I just liked the color and the clouds.
My improvised camera rig in a hire car. It suffers from a lack of side support and fell over soon after this was taken.
It should work better in my car.
As night fell on North Berwick we saw something unusual from the beach - over on the Fife side of the Firth of Forth a large oil rig was moored. A common site, you can often see some there near the shipyards around Burntisland, there for repair or to be dismantled. However this one stood out in the gathering gloom, brightly lit - a look through the zoom showed they had decorated it for Christmas!!
Apologies for the roughness of the shot, zoom after nightfall with no tripod.
What are the chances to be able to go out a second night to the same oil rig and get another lightning shot? Not only get another one, but get the shot you were wanting to get the night before on the first frame you take?
Took a look at this wee rig near the road bridge last week. It is quite close to the shore, the sun didnt make an appearance but at least the clouds went a bit pink and it was so windy that even a short exposure gave some movement in the sky. 11mm, 8 sec @ f/16.
Sun was down and so are the legs ..........Jack up Offshore Rig. HDRed
Comments appreciated guys, thanks!
Went out and practiced with my rig earlier today.
Please leave a comment/fave if you like it. Please do not use/post elsewhere without my prior consent. Thank you.
My third try at the car rig business. Still have a bunch to learn but starting to figure things out. Front end of the car is a little soft in this shot but I liked the angle and background so I thought I'd post!
I love the look of my car so much more with my new wheels. Totally changes the look of the car!
