I copy\pasted this info directly from the Northwest Waterfall Survey: Pending the documentation of Alice Falls, and perhaps the even more isolated Cress Falls, Ranger Falls could be considered the best waterfall in the Carbon River area of Mount Rainier National Park. The falls drop down a forested, mossy step, cascading 44 feet then plunging 55 feet before spitting into two segments, which converge just before the base of the falls, dropping another 73 feet.
I think I've waited long enough to post my fave shot of Ranger Falls. It's been blown up to 16x20 and is hanging just off my right shoulder right now. :-) Can't stop thinking of this place, guess I need to get those snow shoes, and poles, and warmer gortex coat, and.......Gads this hobby is expensive! Happy Sunday all!

On May 20, I made it to Saulsalito!! Walking around the Marina, I saw this and wondered for a split second if I was in India. LOL!!
I saw a guy coming out of his houseboat and as inquiry mind wants to know asked about the Taj Mahal. He said: "You're right, it's is a miniature copy of the Taj Mahal, the owner, a rich lady, wanted a replica of the real, and they say the inside design and decor is very true to the real. She comes once a year, with her servants, in a limo, spends a day here mostly inside and away from Inquiry Miiiiiiinds and leaves by night"!!!
A daaaaaaaaaay, I said!! WOW!!! and continued "you have a beautiful boathouse!!! He said, mame, this is a houseboat, the kind you live in, not a boathouse, there is a difference, if you don't mind me correcting youd"!!!
Woah!!! I hate to be put in place like that!!! So I made a mistake, so I said with a big smile and dumb look: " Oh! i forgot to mention I am dyslexic with compound words and come to think of it with regular ones too, such as: aks, nukelar..." He interrupted me and said "Are you Republican??"
I said: " Don't know about that but I am Armeniiian??!!!" He looked up from his house-boat -house, stared surprised, and we both cracked up laughing to tears and bended in two!!! He said a great one there little lady, do you mind me telling this story to my friends?? I said go ahead coz I'll be telling it to mine!!!!"
P.S. Forgot to mention that I told him his boathouse was really pretty ( it really was!!!). He wasn't impressed but said thank you!!

I don't usually take landscape images during the day but after coming back over the moor to Moretonhampstead I saw this lovely field of Ranunculus. The sun just broke through the stormy clouds and lit up the church and the yellow flowers nicely.
We watched this beetle trying to wrangle this dropping for some time before it apparently gave up & moved on to richer pickings elsewhere.

Red-winged blackbirds love bogs because there is great cover for nests, lots of prey items and open water. This lovely female posed so nicely for me while I was in the kayak.
I found this deserted farm house about half an hours drive from where I live and decided that I would sneak in and have a look around. After taking some pictures of the living room and kitchen I discovered a door that led into a dark cupboard space, in there a narrow, steep, wooden ladder come stair led to the attic. What you see is exactly what I saw, amazing. I really do love this kind of thing, happy days
