The Battle of Rich Mountain took place on July 11, 1861, in Randolph County, Virginia (now West Virginia). The Confederate Army was outnumbered here 1,300 to 7,000 Union. The battle lasted 2 hours and half the Confederates escaped with the other half surrendered. Casualties were 46 for the Union and 300 Confederate.

Rich Richenberg - R. I. P., May 2011

Rich Richenberg was a decorated Air Force officer. He received a commendation during the Persian Gulf war for detecting and countering an enemy threat. The nature of the threat remains classified.
In 1993 Captain Richenberg was ranked among the top 10% of Air Force officers. He came out as gay to his commander. Discharge hearings began that year, and a board recommended a general discharge. The expulsion took effect in December, 1995 and was upheld in appellate court. The Supreme Court, without comment, refused to hear his appeal.
In recent years he sold real estate and held a variety of other jobs.
Rich took his life on or about May 20, 2011.

Mercado de Colon market in Valencia. A gorgeous elaborate structure, spacious modernity, sort of simplified a-la-Valencia Gaudi, with a nave shooting into the sky and the colourful decorations depicting Valencian country life with Valencian ceramics. The architecture is so interesting it is suprising that the market was built in 1914, it is quite avant-guarde for those time
