Some revised art for a haiku project I am working on with a very cool author.

I appear to be very wolf-centric lately.

I am okay with that.

Even though this post card was intended as a quick job I wasn't satisfied with it and decided to tweek it a little. The top is the original version. I hope no one minds me posting this. I like the revision better and it does show we don't have to settle.

I thing that the treatment of the previous upload of this photo is awful. I believe I destroyed a good photo. So that's another version...

Decided to update the Garden Lighting both front and back, turned out ok.

Road map of our trip and some info: www.southernscenicroute.co.nz/

Photos from our road trip down the South Island of New Zealand in January.

After such a beautiful day yesterday today is overcast and mild and by the afternoon the rain came down. January 26, 2015 New Zealand.

The TSS Earnslaw is a 1912 Edwardian vintage twin screw steamer plying the waters of Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand. It is one of the oldest tourist attractions in Central Otago, and the only remaining commercial passenger-carrying coal-fired steamship in the southern hemisphere.

The TSS Earnslaw has featured in several movies including a cameo in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as an Amazon River Boat. Parts of the trawler SS Venture in Peter Jackson’s King Kong were inspired by the TSS Earnslaw. Famous composer Ron Goodwin composed a piece of music inspired by the rhythm of the TSS Earnslaw’s engines.

I revised it. I hope u guy's like it. Comments and favs are welcome.

Managed to get back over to Richards today so was able to test the new arch for clearances with rolling stock.

The complete bridge has now been rebuilt to be one complete structure (rather than 3 sections) and slightly revised in dimensions.

I took over another different mock up, but completely forgot to take pictures of it!

However, the new arch shape works well and has now been set in place with wooden blocks tacked onto the baseboards within the structure to be able to slot it onto for display.

oke doke, here's a project I'll be working on for a while. Remember the minigarage? Seriously? No kidding? whew! that was a looong time ago. Well, I'm thinking of revising it... bringing it back from the dead - resuscitating it!

It'll have a new group and a much better overall look. I plan to pack more complicated techniques and NPUs into them, but what I expect is for you to do the same! Common cars made badly in common colors will be banned... similarly to Sharpy's Rogue Industries group... NO real cars unless they're... 1 - REALLY good or 2 - iconic ones such as the VW Beetle or Ford Mustang. I will be merciless on group reigning so I'm warning you up front not to enter any cars not well known or badly made. Those are the group terms, so I'm telling you up front to prevent unpleasant declinings.

Anyway. this is the first in a series of promotional posters, so to speak - the whole revision of the minigarage is a lot of work and I don't know if the new group etc. will be up in even a month. I'll post a "promotional poster" featuring different cars from different car cultures every once in a while so it doesn't get stale.

Hope you like the idea. Credit to my dad who helped me splatter the mud across the front of the off-roader.... getting it to look right is harder than it might seem. I was going for a slightly outskirts-of-Baja background, or at least what I imagine the outskirts of baja would look like. Californian desert-forest, shall we say.

Enjoy...

DISCLAIMER: I posted this 21 months ago, but it seems it slipped away from my photostream after I posted too much. I sent the link in a flickrmail some months ago so now I'm reposting it. New TT - TT, not MG - should be up tomorrow, and hopefully another promotional poster soon :)
