Sea Gull chicken

Revised version of the hamster in occasion of the release on MOCHUB . Well, the ears are bigger and the butt is slightly smoother. But I did not upload a butt-picture due to the rules of conduct on flickr! ;)

Claas Xerion 5000 revised - I changed a few details, added some stickers and improved overall proportions. I think it looks far better now. Stickers are original Lego ones from Power Miners sets and official Lego Xerion.

"I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And doggone it, people like me."

I repeat, please do not tell me that I cannot do something because I ______ (you fill in the blank, i.e. am too weak, don't know how, will ruin my manicure, am not sufficiently tenacious to see it to completion) or be prepared to see it done. I may not have always made the right decisions in life, but they were not made because I was afraid of the grunt work.

Why? Because...

I am strong enough to yank on the lawn mower cord.

I know how I want to tackle those weeds in my huge backyard.

I do my own manicure...with decades of experience.

I may take my time, but I do things my way and usually they end up being alright.

Of course, I take all my inspiration from SNL's Stuart Smalley, aka senator Al Franken, brilliant multitasker.

BAM! #19....

Been working on that tender quite some time now. You might remember my earlier version.

But I wanted to use 3D-printed MS-wheels to get the correct size wheels. been trying out quite some techniques, with this one finally working. The tender now (unprototypically) has bogies. It rools much better than the first version and causes much less drag in curves.

A revised version of my Cat. 17,5 cm washi deluxe. I don't like this paper, but it looks nice.

"some one actually took the time and put some thought into where each piece should go"

I put hours of time and thought into where each piece should go. If it were just "dumped into a gon" with Lego pieces, it would look repetitive with certain pieces and colors blocked together. AKA, it would look like shit. Also, each piece was picked because it connected easily to a part that was already connected to the systematic, organized grid of clips, bars, and studs on the base. Parts that overlap other parts were selected because they connect well with the parts under them and because they wouldn't cover up the details of the parts under them. Every single part is connected to something. There is nothing floating, held in by friction, or just "dumped in".

A revised version of the previous image based on comments from other people. Having tried various crops I thought this one incorporated the flow of the marble veins across the frame as I originally envisaged but clears the clutter of the layer above. A simpler composition which on reflection I think works well. (My thanks to Pete and Adam.)

A revised version of my Caterham inspired by František Hajdekr's Caterham (seen here). My model also borrows the headlight and fender designs from his model.

Now I gave my Atlantic the "scale-drawing-treatment".

At first I actually only wanted to change the tender as I had problems in curves with the 3D-printed wheels I wanted to use. That made me use a scale drawing for the whole engine and this came out. It still looks a bit wrong because the correct wheels would be something at the size of XXL wheels. The leading wheels are placeholders for medium small sized wheels.

I always knew that my old design was a bit short, but I was shocked when I saw how long the new design really is! It seems huge, but in reality this is how big it should be, I really should've questioned the old design earlier.

Did place the new design next to my other most realistic engines to see how she compares (the A4 mostly being a Bricktrix design though)

Seems like this engine will be a wip for longer than I thought.

( wes_turngrate actually mentioned thte "stumpyness" of the old design, but I just didn't want to listen. I found out what was wrong - the wheels were too small, the new XXL wheels also lengthen the whole design and the frame for the trailing wheel was too short as well)

New version for Alsace and Czech Republic

Another revised model, this time with a lift and new body work.
