My Voodoo model went through several iterations and changes. I began with the CF-101B variant, but when I wanted to update the design, I decided to make all of the Voodoo variants for my album. This image shows the revised single-seat cockpit design and the unique RF-variant's slanted nose. Notice in improved cockpit layout and design.

"some one actually took the time and put some thought into where each piece should go"

I put hours of time and thought into where each piece should go. If it were just "dumped into a gon" with Lego pieces, it would look repetitive with certain pieces and colors blocked together. AKA, it would look like shit. Also, each piece was picked because it connected easily to a part that was already connected to the systematic, organized grid of clips, bars, and studs on the base. Parts that overlap other parts were selected because they connect well with the parts under them and because they wouldn't cover up the details of the parts under them. Every single part is connected to something. There is nothing floating, held in by friction, or just "dumped in".

A revised version of the previous image based on comments from other people. Having tried various crops I thought this one incorporated the flow of the marble veins across the frame as I originally envisaged but clears the clutter of the layer above. A simpler composition which on reflection I think works well. (My thanks to Pete and Adam.)

A revised version of my Caterham inspired by František Hajdekr's Caterham (seen here). My model also borrows the headlight and fender designs from his model.

It's a shame hairpieces won't fit along with the armor unless you trim it down.

So I decided to revise another one of my models from 2015. This time it involved only relatively minor mods, but this model still looks so good to me. I raised the rear end of the Citroen Mehari up by a plate to give it the look of having a squat like the real car and I also added a more conventional hood design.

The revised Flanker model is built to minifig (1:38) scale, putting it in line with my other aircraft models. I changed the design of the nose and wing and replaced the plated fuselage with cheese slopes and hinged plates and tiles. I also included a clear-brick canopy to refine the overall profile. In the end, the new model was a completely new design. After working on other models at this scale, I began paying closer attention to details and proportions. I've learned a lot from this rebuild and developed new techniques that I have carried over into my other revised models, such as the CF-105 Arrow and MiG-31 Foxhound. I have a few more revised projects to go, I just need to find the time.

Well, since it's Christmas, I figured you all should get something that's red like Santa's sleigh. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals!

When looking at my Ferrari Daytona from last year, I realized that I managed to forget the hood vents on that are on the real car. Then after adding the all important side curvature, I realized that hood might be a little too long. So here is the (hopefully) improved Ferrari Daytona!

Went back for another shoot

I'm revisiting old photos to look at them from a more objective, less self-criticizing standpoint. It's nice to be able to look at them again and discover you like something you created after you'd forgotten about it.
