I have finally redone Louis' faceup :)

I'm really happy about how it came out ^^

My old model had a red interior. I've been told that darker colours are more common, so I replaced it with dark green.

I like this MOC alot. :)

This took the most of the work. The representation of the engine on my old model was a bit rudimentary. Looking at pictures of real buses I found that the engine area looks very messy with lots of hoses and cables and I tried to replicate that in my model. The engine is a V8 Diesel built by International.

My attempt at revamping the Hordika build, mostly based off of the awesome Raudr the Wierd One redesign on MOC Pages. The Hordika story as it appeared in the books was always one of my favorite arcs, but the lackluster movie adaptation coupled with the so-so sets left a negative impression in a lot of people's minds.

Nonetheless, I always liked the idea conceptually of mutating the sleek form of a toa into something ungainly and asymmetrical, like a toa nuva transformation that goes horribly wrong. With mutant toa, a dead city ravaged by earthquakes, an eternal night, an army of beyblade spiders, and the unleashing of every rahi formerly trapped in the archives, the tone of Metru Nui was changed dramatically in a very short span.

Also there was a mecha-bigfoot with a cyclops eye.

This is a creation I’ve been working on for quite some time, ever since the Ziontyro released these glorious custom Kraahkan Kanohi. Almost an entire year in the making!

8593 Makuta has always been a set that was near and dear to my heart, though a figure that was very quickly superseded by larger titan builds. With this revamp, my objective was to restore some of the lost height and articulation, so he can stand tall against the other titans of the BIONICLE line.

The legs in particular draw inspiration from the design of @ibukkey00 while much of the upper body design was created by @fnezj, who gave me many helpful tips during the build process.

Please let me know what you think of this creation with a thoughtful comment below!

This Hewkii MOV is part of a group of Inika MOVs I've made in tribute to the original Bionicle Inika sets.

The inorganic mask was designed by Khingk, and printed on a resin printer. The baseplate he his standing on has the Toa Nuva symbol of stone on it. Some heresy was committed to make this MOC look better: I had to spray paint some parts gun metal as Lego did not release an official gun metal version of certain parts, though I tried to keep the spray painting as limited as possible.

He is capable of normal movement and flexibility.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FILE HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED SINCE I ORDERED THE PARTS OF THESE TOA. That means that their weapons are not included, and any flaws or issues I had to find work-around solutions for are not going to be in this file, so it is up to yourself to find the solution.

I have password-protected the file and the password is in the Read Me.txt file.

A revamp of the Iron Man buildable figure Lego set

I rebuilt the aft emergency exit and added LEGO windows.

I'm not as satisfied with this remake as I am with my other ones. It uses too many HF elements and doesn't have enough BIonicle/System integration.

I am proud of the cannon, though.

I kinda hated the original Ussanui set from '03, so I figured I'd revamp it when I did Takanuva. Went with an '08 vehicle aesthetic.

These two work closely together, Jetbug watches out in the sky's while Nitroblast takes out anyone who might see Jetbug.

One of my favourite BIONICLE sets ever, and also the first, this MOC was helped into being by Railblade, who inspired this piece with his awesome Lewa remake. Thanks! :D

I have a love/hate relationship with Roodaka, who's the figurehead of a lot of issues BIONICLE had with its representation of female characters. In one sense, she fulfills an old, tired seductress trope that stems from a long, long history of dude writers being real petty (and the awful animated adaptation leans even more heavily into it). Her set design was especially abstract (none of the titan sets that year had much resembling hands), but even so they made sure to include rounded boob plates, high heels, something lazily resembling long hair, and a silver curved butt-plate. There's a lot to cringe about.

On the other hand, she's still cool as heck, especially as she's characterized in the written story. You get the sense that she's a mastermind, using this idiot royal to her advantage to further her ambitions - partially in the style of the "Evil Vizier" trope, but also a legit warlord, unflinching, and completely willing to engage in combat should the moment arise. There's this badass scene where she duels the last Krahka in front of her army and fights with absolute precision, moves like shes doing a soul level 1 boss fight. She's dangerous on a level that the toa can't touch. In the end she's not so much bested as ousted.

Anyway, rant over, my MOC attempts to integrate slightly more subtle feminine features with a more physically imposing frame. She uses two-point waist articulation, has more of an actual headdress, her sword arm has been turned into a rubber band-powered retractable forearm blade, and her big claw hand has taken over spinneret duty. There was also just enough space behind her chestplate to include the protodermis shard.

Yeah... Too tired to write a back story....

Please comment and fav :)

Don't hesitate to ask about the mechanism. I'll probably make an upgrade with more detail. So consider this a rough draft :P

I did not have infected Haus at the time of these photos.

A true departure from the classical style of ice villains, Pridak was an incredibly divisive set when originally released in 2007, and condemned as one of the weaker Barraki designs. Abstract in frame, he was one of several Barraki to experiment with a more fluid design and set designer Brian Ellis’ recent YouTube video has brought some insight into the complicated design process that led to his conceptualization.

Stylized as a shark-piranha hybrid, Pridak was originally intended to have a double-jointed torso, though his design was simplified to accommodate the bloated parts budget of later 2007 sets. The end result was a single Hordika-neck joint propping up two Vahki torsos, which left a great deal to be desired. Unfortunately, this meant that the design also strayed some distance from Brian's original intentions for the figure.

With this revamp, I’ve endeavored to build on the original design intended for Pridak, with my own spin. I’ve added smooth Inika armor plating with red spikes for that shark motif and have even reinforced his legs with period-appropriate TECHNIC links, for the illusion of emaciated muscle.

This was a very fun project to set myself: honor the original design as though there’d been unlimited budget. This isn’t a far cry from my usual ‘simplistic’ design style and I hope I’ve done Pridak some justice by presenting a MOC that could’ve been an official set!

With the addition of Piraka legs and a piston added to his chest, Pridak is now living up to his fullest potential as the leader of the Barraki!

I’ve started revamping the original toa

I am updating my cheshire piece - here's what I have so far

While revamping my self-moc, I kept the base skeleton of the previous iteration and added some new, more system-based designs. Other obvious changes would be the color scheme, replacing the somewhat generic black with grey. The upper torso was also a nightmare to build/revamp since the original skeleton had very few attachement points aside from some axle holes. But I endend up figuring something out with a lot of system. I also added some pouches to the sides of his abdomen. Other aspects I retained (that are worth pointing out) are the mobility of the limbs (he has two points of articulation in his elbows and knees), the axe and his arms are basically the same as the previous version but with some parts swapped out.

Comments and criticism is always appreciated.

After months and months, it's finally done. You can download a .lxf for the torso structure here.
