Norwegian tanks take part in a live-fire capabilities demonstration during Cold Response 14, a multinational and multilateral training exercise above the Arctic Circle that brings together more than 14,000 servicemembers from 15 different countries, to include approximately 1,200 NATO personnel, March 11. The Norwegian-led exercise involves maritime, land and air operations being conducted this month to rehearse high-intensity operations in unique winter conditions, showcasing the diplomatic relationships, strategic friendships, and commitment to global security interests of all participating nations. Outside of Lab 1 a bike lays rusting and rotting away.I can only asume this was a means of transport to pop between the different labs and to ride back to the quayside each evening to catch the last boat home after a hard day at work.
Lab 1 has a large pit situated inside,the atomic bombs/missles were lowered into this pit to emulate an aircrafts bomb bay,then vibration test were carried out to try and break down the bombs components whilst trying to replicate conditions the bombs would go thru whilst on there journey to their targets.

Airborne forces show Swift Response
British airborne forces are training alongside NATO counterparts to develop their ability to work together to deliver a Swift Response to international crises.
16 Air Assault Brigade is on Exercise Swift Response, which brings together more than 5,000 personnel from 10 nations and takes place in Poland and Germany between May 27-June 26, 2016.
Under the command of Headquarters 16 Air Assault Brigade some 2,000 troops are taking part, the largest British contingent to deploy on a NATO exercise in 2016. The joint force includes 3 PARA Battlegroup, including engineer, artillery, logistics, signals, medical, provost and ISTAR support; Apache attack helicopters from 4 Regiment Army Air Corps; and RAF Chinook and Puma support helicopters and C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.
The training involves mass parachute jumps and air assault operations as part of a simulated mission to restore stability to a troubled region. It is key to developing interoperability with 82nd Airborne Division and 11e Brigade Parachutiste, the Brigade’s key partners in the US and French armies respectively, as well as wider allies.

GROM stands for Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno-Manewrowego (Operational Maneuver Response Group)
This is the first Polish unit, which has been organized by the best of British and American models. This formation is prepared to conduct a comprehensive special operations, direct actions and antiterrorist missions in conditions of peace, crisis and war.
GROM unit can be compared to world well-known special formations:
• USA - 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta (so-called Delta Force)
• USA - SEALs Team VI (DEVGRU)
• United Kingdom - Special Air Service (SAS)
• Israel - Sayeret Matkal.
GROM soldiers possess skills useful in complex rescue operations aiming at rescuing hostages from the hands of terrorists. They can operate on land, but also on water (ships and drilling rigs) and air. GROM works in teams of four. These teams consist of well-trained and equipped commandos, who apart from general training hold two specialties, being radio telegraphists, marksmen, sappers, chemists, doctors, drivers. The group also includes analysts, electronics engineers, IT specialists, pyrotechnicians and other technicians. Thanks to them cooperation of individual teams is plausible. Each soldier is a professional in conducting special operations. They undertake several month-long arduous trainings in parachuting, diving, etc. Candidates for GROM service need to pass psychological and physical efficiency tests, and so-called “truth attempt”, which is a physically and mentally exhaustive field test, in which the weakest drop out.
GROM soldiers gain experience through participation in missions and trainings with the best special units in the world.
Participation in missions:
1994 Haiti;
1996 Balkans;
2002 - 2003 Kuwait;
2002 - 2008 Iraq;
Since 2002 Afghanistan.
GROM from the beginning was a fully professional formation. In Armed Forces, this has ensured the highest possible degree of training and preparation for different tasks in the country and beyond its borders. The unit is under a direct supervision of the Special Forces Commander. Currently a commander of GROM is Col. Dariusz Zawadka.

Exercise Swift Response 16 went in to high gear June 7, 2016, as more than 1,500 paratroopers from the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division, the British 16 Air Assault Brigade and the Polish 6th Airborne Brigade conducted a combined jump on to a drop zone near the city of Torun, Poland.

A former Hampshire police fiesta SNT response vehicle now seen in its civilian life in Lichfield, Staffordshire. I have seen a fair few EX police vehicles in the area including: x2 09 plate EX BTP transit connect dog vans, x1 09 plate EX BTP astra estate, x2 59 plate EX BTP focus estates, x1 EX Staffordshire police focus and a 09 plate EX West midlands police astra.
