In response to prevailing drought situation in the region, ActionAid Somaliland has started distributing food for 1,000 drought affected families in 3 regions in Somaliland. The first operation was carried out in late December 2015 and Early 2016.
These two bikes were found at Bon Aire Shopping Center in Greenbrae, CA. The new Central Marin PD has had an overflow of officers, and thus they have been using bikes more often than acutal cars. The reason for this, the bikes can get through traffic easier and response time is cut in half.

The Bedik (aka Bedick) ethnic group lives in the vicinity of the Bandafassi village, and has its closest larger city in Kedougou. Iwol is the capital of the Bedik but I climbed to visit the hilltop village of Andyel / Andjel. The village huts rested among granite boulders and baobab trees. Nearby a church had been built but the priest (who seemed to rorate between villages) was absent.

The site, located in south-east Senegal, includes three geographical areas: the Bassari–Salémata area, the Bedik–Bandafassi area and the Fula–Dindéfello area, each with its specific morphological traits. The Bassari, Fula and Bedik peoples settled from the 11th to the 19th centuries and developed specific cultures and habitats symbiotic with their surrounding natural environment. The Bassari landscape is marked by terraces and rice paddies, interspersed with villages, hamlets and archaeological sites. The Bedik villages are formed by dense groups of huts with steep thatched roofs. Their inhabitants’ cultural expressions are characterized by original traits of agro-pastoral, social, ritual and spiritual practices, which represent an original response to environmental constraints and human pressures. The site is a well-preserved multicultural landscape housing original and still vibrant local cultures.
The CARES Program will help the government in implementing its pandemic response plan the National Relief Program to respond to public health emergencies and to mitigate adverse economic and social impacts caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The program will extend support to the poor and vulnerable to withstand the pandemic's adverse impact on their livelihoods through food assistance and employment support. It will pay special attention to establishing gender-segregated hospital units and facilities, and ensuring that additional incentives are extended to women health workers. Further, the program will increase women's resilience to the pandemic's economic shocks. It will promote resilience to external shocks and strengthen public service delivery, especially in the health sector, contributing to a reduction in shared health risks. The program facilitates the government's mapping of the poor and vulnerable populations for effective food distribution and other relief service delivery.

This is done to transfer scents to an organ located between the roof of the mouth and the palate and is often seen when a male is testing a female's readiness to mate. There was a female nearby but we didn't see them mate. If you look closely in front of his right paw, there is a slightly darker area in the sand where she urinated. He first sniffed this area and then showed this Flehmen response. It also looks like he has had a recent meal. Taken in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.
