Wednesday 31 May 2023, saw the latest batch of new officers join the Greater Manchester Police family.
They officially became police officers a ceremony at the force's Sedgley Park Centre.
Assistant Chief Constable Chris Sykes was on hand to welcome the new officers as they took the Police Oath in front of officiating magistrate Joan Cooper JP.

More than 600 paratroopers from the U.S., France, United Kingdom and Poland conducted the second phase of the multinational training exercise Swift Response 16 began.
Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV). This ERV is part of the National Fleet and is assigned to the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross (Headquartered in Springfield MO). When disasters strike around the country, the National Disaster Operations Center (DOC) will dispatch this vehicle as needed and local volunteers from Missouri will drive it to the disaster scene and staff it during the Disaster Response Operation (DRO). Soldiers from the South Carolina National GuardÕ³ 2-151st Security and Support Aviation Battalion (SSAB) provide air support to local authorities and the South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD), and stage at Ò¦orward locationsÓ in preparation for a statewide response to Hurricane Matthew, Oct. 6, 2016, Walterboro and coastal areas, S.C. During the evacuation phase of the response, the 2-151st SSAB deployed two LUH-72A Lakota helicopters and relative crews to the coast, in order to monitor traffic and relay information to emergency responders. Approximately 2,000 South Carolina National Guard Soldiers and Airmen have been activated after Oct. 4, 2016. Their primary mission is supporting state and county emergency management agencies and local first responders with coastal evacuations and any services or resources needed to assist the citizens of South Carolina after Governor Nikki Haley declared a State of Emergency. January 23, 2016-- Long island -- NYSDOT plows clear roads on Long island during the early stages of a Blizzard that hit Long Island and the Greater New York area Saturday January 23, 2016. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has declared a state of emergency and is warning residents to stay home as a blizzard threatens to dump as much as two feet on parts of the area.
