Today marks one year since the Colonial Massacre. 47 Allied Race Alliance colonies were destroyed. The death toll marked over several million. I built a memorial for myself considering the ARA is too busy fighting a war. A war I wish I was never involved in. It cost me the one thing I loved most. I will never get him back.
My old partner from the ARA stopped by and demanded I come back to them. She said it was dire. The ARA found the men responsible for the Colonial Massacre. The bastards are a rebel group known as Infernus. She said they had been operating for awhile now, but only now they chose strike while the ARA was in the midst of a civil, as I said. Reluctantly I took her offer only swearing to kill the men responsible for the massacre. I will make them suffer

Nielson treed op tijdens de eindshow van Serious Request. 3FM Serious Request draait dit jaar om diarree. Jaarlijks overlijden er wereldwijd 800.000 kinderen aan de gevolgen van diarree en om dat aantal terug te dringen, zetten 3FM en het Rode Kruis zich van 18 t/m 24 december vanuit Leeuwarden in om zoveel mogelijk geld in te zamelen voor deze stille ramp. Met 3FM Serious Request 2015 zetten we ons dit jaar in voor kinderen en jongeren in oorlogs- en conflictgebieden: deze generatie leeft onder de meest extreme omstandigheden en heeft daardoor weinig kans op scholing en ontwikkeling. Zij zijn de stille slachtoffers van de oorlog.
Bohunice, Slovakia — Martin, known as “Lemur” (last names were requested not to be used because of the past involvement with drugs, etc.) stirs a pot of goulash on the open-air stove. All of the men at the facility share in the daily chores, including feeding and caring for the animals, as well as cooking all of the meals. Martin’s principle duties range from cow care, to kitchen work, to handling physical education for the rest of the guys. Statements he made about the HPI cows: “At the beginning, I didn’t like it at all, but now I’m used to it and I can say that I like them.” He is involved in making fresh cream and cheese on a weekly basis from the two HPI cows received. “It’s difficult to milk (the cows) in the summertime because of the flies. The cows begin to kick,” he said.

Chance For New Beginning - (Project #27-0362-01). Project in Bohunice village focuses on helping young at-risk men living and working on a communal farm. A total of 7 men live at the facility and for the most part are recovering from drug addiction. Since 1999, Stefan Hacaj (59) has been running the farm with his wife, Katarina Hacajova (45). Heifer Slovakia’s role in the project came in form of dairy cows.

I've been playing around with nginx webserver, just managed to coax 10000 requests a second out of it. On my laptop. With a load of 0.04 according to top. For comparison, apache managed ~5000 with a load of 0.79. The next job is figuring out how to get more than 11 pages a second from wordpress on fastcgi php …

I've got a personal agenda to be faster then her running a half-marathon. Yea! even though she is a hundred years younger then me.
I go with the flow, I ride with the tide, I've got glide in my stride. Walkin', runnin', spinin', jivin' and groovin' keeps me young!
You can't shut me up while I'm exercising, you can't dumb me down 'Cause I'm tireless. I'm wireless and anabolic active because I'm fueled up on 100% chocolate flavored easy mixed whey protein. This makes me hyperactive, and from time to time radioactive also, especially when I'm creating the music tracks for our spinbike sessions at the gym.
I've been hospital-tested and wired up to a bike for a fitness assessment at my gym. Now after girth and skinfold measurements taken, it's now official that I'm a clinically-proven, scientifically formulated medical miracle!
My ideas are beyond the comprehension of ordinary mortals. The brilliance of my mind can only be described as dazzling. Even I am impressed by it!

This picture was sent on to the WSPA emergency relief team, by a photographer who is in Haiti, who said "While taking pictures of the devastation in Haiti, I saw this group of children - camped on the pavement with no home to go back to, they represent the harsh reality that Haitians are faced with. But as the dog cheekily forced his way into the frame, the children burst out laughing - and I realized how these simple pleasures are part of their reality too!"
The Government of Haiti has requested immediate assistance from the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) to help with the emergency relief operation. WSPA and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) are leading a group of animal welfare organizations called the Animal Relief Coalition for Haiti (ARCH) and will arrive in Haiti to do an assessment on January 23.

In July I was requested to photograph Haulmark Trailers' new facility in the Darwin suburb of Wishart for Sitzler and Australian Defence Magazine (ADM). The initial brief required a daylight shoot to meet ADM's requirements.
After completing the daylight shoot I couldn't help but return at sunset to shoot the building at dusk.
After submitting a selection of photos from the day and dusk shoots I was glad to see this photo selected by the editors.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography.
