I got a request to use a photo which would get me more exposure. Here is the email for that request and a few more photos of the building of which I probably have thousands.

At the request of the Admiralty, Billy Butlin established Scotland’s first holiday camp at Ayr in 1941 and for the duration of the war it was used as a Royal Naval training camp, named HMS Scotia. The camp’s basic layout was designed as a holiday camp so that after the war, the 85 acre site was easily converted to a fully functioning Butlins holiday camp. Billy Butlin took ownership in 1946 and after further construction, the camp was opened to the public the following year, accommodating up to 2,000 guests. Capacity was later increase to around 5,000 guests. During the 1980’s, a major investment program was undertaken to modernise the camp and in 1987 it was renamed Wonderwest World. In 1999, the camp became part of Haven Holidays group and was renamed Craig Tara, under which it still operates.
From 1947 to 1967, Butlins at Ayr issued badges annually to their paid-up guests. The badge design changed from year to year and variations of the year’s design were issued until 1957. The use of variations of the same design during any one year was to help discourage and identify unpaid guests.

Before I gave up meat my mom used to make this Italian sausage and peppers dish for us all the time. It was such a hit that it was my brother's birthday dinner dish request. I've made a few modification to mom's recipe, but the heart of it is still in here. Thanks, mom!
Ingredients:
6 oz. linguini
1 large head of garlic
2 bell peppers (yellow, red, or orange)
2 Smart Sausages, Italian Style (or you could use real Italian sausage if you eat meat)
4 oz. feta cheese
3 Tbsp. olive oil
Oregano, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper for seasoning
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Wash garlic clove and remove any loose papery peels. Cut in half and place on aluminum foil. Drizzle with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, close into a pouch. Place on baking sheet covered in aluminum foil.
2. Wash peppers and place on baking sheet. Put baking sheet in oven and cook for an hour, rotating peppers a quarter turn every 15 minutes. Garlic is ready when soft. Peppers are ready when skins are thoroughly charred.
3. Remove garlic from foil pouch and allow to cool. Place an overturned bowl or pot on top of peppers. This creates a little steam dome and will help the skins come off the peppers more easily. Leave this on for 10-15 minutes and then remove and allow peppers to cool.
4. Once garlic is cool enough to handle, separate soft garlic from papery skins. Mix 2 Tbsp. olive oil with cooked garlic to create a paste.
5. Grill sausage and chop into small pieces. Listen, I would love to give you real meat grilling advices, but I haven't eaten meat in like ten years so no one wants advice from me on that subject. With fake meats you usually grill them until they are warm all the way through and you have nice grill marks on all sides.
6. Once peppers have cooled, peel skins off and dice.
7. Bring water to a boil, salt, and add pasta.
8. While pasta is cooking slice, cut feta into 1/4 in. slices and place on foil-covered baking sheet. You'll see in the photos I drizzled it with olive oil—don't do this! You're going to put the feta under the broiler and olive oil on it will make the broiler so mad. However, do season with a tiny pinch of oregano, basil, and parsley.
9. Broil feta until golden brown, remove from oven.
9. Drain pasta and return to pan. Add olive oil and garlic paste mixture and toss over low heat. You may neat to add some more olive oil at this point to coat the pasta. Add in grilled sausage and peppers and crumble feta over top. Toss for another minute or so and then plate and serve. Enjoy!

Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to design and build a landscaped garden for a space in Leytonstone, London E11. Here are the details of the project
BRIEF:
This plot was a long urban garden and was almost completely bare, but for two large, established trees. The client was attempting to construct a pond in the near right corner using green slate boulders as decoration, and requested that this should be included in the design.
The interior of the house had a modern, contemporary feel fused with Victorian architecture. As the patio doors lead directly from the kitchen/diner into the garden, the garden becomes very much an extension of the house – as such the style of the interiorwas of particular consideration in the design the exterior space
SOLUTION:
The final design created a low maintenance garden with a simple and contemporary feel. The area directly behind the house was laid with decking, running half way down the left side of the space. New wooden fences, to replace the existing worn out wire fences, were erected down the right of the garden, onto which a selection of clematis and everlasting sweet peas were trained.
The main area of the garden consisted of a tapered, oval shaped lawn, encircled by a raised bed following the same shape as the lawn. A smaller, tapered oval raised bed in the middle of the lawn served to slightly mask the bottom of the garden, breaking up the space and helping to create a sense of intrigue.
The simplicity of the borders was echoed in the planting, which consisted of white flowers and green foliage. Cool, crisp and elegant, a white planting scheme provides an air of harmony and tranquillity, and is well suited to the style of the garden and the interior of the house. An area devoted to graceful architectural ferns helped to accentuate the simplicity
of the space and serves to provide a stunning and effective display throughout the year.
Re-designing the layout of the client’s existing pond, using state boulders together with a powerful pump to produce an effective waterfall, helped to create a striking water feature. The pond and surrounding area was given life with the addition of water lilies and other aquatic and semi-aquatic plants. A bowed Cedrus libani (ssp.atlantica) ‘Glauca’, trailing branches in the water, presented the final flourish to the space.

The Korean Demilitarized Zone (Korean: 한반도 비무장지대) is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea. The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly in half, crossing the 38th parallel on an angle, with the west end of the DMZ lying south of the parallel and the east end lying north of it. It is 155 miles (248 km) long and approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) wide, and is the most heavily militarized border in the world.
For over fifty years the areas surrounding the DMZ have been restricted to the general public. As a result, they have become a wildlife preserve containing incredible bio-diversity. The DMZ and its surrounding areas are now referred to as the Peace and Life Zone (PLZ), and a special tour course has been designed taking travelers to destinations of historical interest and outstanding natural beauty.

The Court of Requests - a JD Wetherspoon Free House.
This Grade II listed building was erected in 1816, as a Court of Requests, and later extended. The Court of Requests was abolished in 1846 and replaced by a Magistrates Court and a County Court. The latter moved out in 1889. In 1904, the building became Oldbury Police Station, with the Magistrates Court remaining on the first floor. After the Police moved out, Oldbury Library moved into the building, in 1977, remaining here until 2011.
These premises were refurbished by J D Wetherspoon in January 2012.

Court house, now public library. 1816. Brick in Flemish bond with painted
stone dressings and slate roof. Two storeys, five bays. Ground floor windows
recessed within an arcade of round arches with keystones and impost band. They
are sashed with glazing bars and have gauged brick round heads. On the first
floor is a similar arcade with moulded arches. The windows are sashed with
Gothick glazing. In the central bay of the ground floor arcade is a C20 door-
way. Above is a plaque inscribed: "This Court House was erected AD 1816".

The Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum is a huge war museum illustrating the DPRK's struggle against the Japanese and, later on, the Americans. It has over 80 exhibition halls. This war museum has a wide array of original military equipment, weapons and vehicles including US captured planes. A guide neatly dressed in a military uniform will guide you around explaining the North Korean version of the Korean War.
The most impressive part comes at the end where you will be taken to a revolving room and what is thought to be the biggest 360 panorama in the world. The background of the room is painted with battle scenes (according to the guides it took over 40 people more than 1 year to paint). Between the spectator and the wall there is a 13.5 metre distance 3 dimensional setting.

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

The Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace was opened in 1989 as a “comprehensive extracurricular educational center for schoolchildren.” It consists of an eight-story central building and various annex buildings totaling over 1,108,000 sq. ft. / 103,000 sq. m. The annexes house a science block, an art block, a gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool and a 2,000 seat theater. There are 700 rooms for various purposes including music and dance practice rooms, mathematics, chemistry, astronomy, computer science, automotive, machine tool, sports, etc.
Over 12,000 pupils visit the palace each day, cared for by over 500 teachers and several hundred more lecturers and assistants. The shape of the building is that of encircling arms, with a statue of a “Flower Carriage of Happiness” in the center.It is located in Pyongyang.
