I support Bob Wirch, I got one of his signs from the last campaign and it is adorning my yard now. Of course, that can't be the house I own, it must be a low income apartment that houses me since I moved from Illinois because welfare is better up here.
This entry represents the iFunGIS project deployed on the International Space Station (ISS), which investigates the effects of microgravity on metabolic processes and products of a subsurface fungus. This project is the first time an intraterrestrial microorganism has been grown in space. Members of the Kiel Reese lab isolated this microbe from 73 million year-old sediment that was buried 124 meters below the seafloor, and now, these samples on the ISS float above their cousins deep in the ocean’s subsurface. I used various species of Vibrio, another marine microbe, to create the array of colors seen in this entry. Vibrio parahaemolyticus on HardyCHROM Vibrio produces the nice blue color that makes up the ocean, and TCBS green agar was cut out to make the earth landmasses. Vibrio alginolyticus was streaked onto CHROMagar Vibrio to make the ISS, and stars were cut out of an mCPC plate with Vibrio vulnificus. The alien (to represent all that’s left to discover) was made from Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio vulnificus on CHROMagar Vibrio.

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary represents an enclave of relative wilderness amidst swirling traffic and sprawling urban infrastructure. Located just as the name in Arabic suggests - at the Cape of the Creek, it is among the few urban protected areas of the world. Ras Al Khor is also home to about 500 greater flamingoes (Phoenicopterus roseus), which has become something of a mascot for Dubai's Wild Life protection program. Ras Al Khor is home to more than 20,000 birds of 67 species, making it an ideal spot for eco-friendly tourists. Although not officially so, Ras Al Khor is also fondly called as the Dubai bird park. Renowned for its pink flamingos that steal the show in winter, you can also spot reef herons, great egrets, cormorants, black-winged stilts, grey herons, osprey, sandpipers and many such birds here.

There are two viewing spots : "The Flamingo Hide" and "The Mangrove Hide", it is open October to March 7:30 - 17:30 hr, April to September 06:00 - 18:00 hr, Fridays 14:00-17:30 hr. Mangrove Hide is also the feeding spot where around 09:30 food is given to the birds. There is no fees to visit the spots.

Here, represented in near-zombie form, is the face of quite possibly the coolest video game villain of all time, Metal Gear Solid's Psycho Mantis. This guy was great... he'd read your memory card, then make fun of you for what games you'd been playing. He'd screw with the TV, so it looked like your PlayStation had somehow come unplugged. And it was impossible to hit him unless you unplugged the first controller completely and played with the pad plugged into port 2. That, and he looked cool as all get-out in his gas mask. Horribly, I lost the detachable gas mask accessory in the air vents of my summer home not one month after purchasing it. There it still lies, I'd assume, for a treasure-seeker to discover after the fall of Muncie.
