Although there is a great deal of activity with the re-signalling project elsewhere most semaphores still remain in daily use. However in this shot you can see the new bright metal light (placed at a horizontal angle) ready to be raised and replace BE39, the small single semaphore to the left. In the background is Network Rail’s resident Stoneblower with Freightliner’s 66529 alongside in the re-fueling lane.
This stop sign is right outside of my apartment building. I might have been glad to miss my bus; that gave me time to get the best shot.

DSLR custom baseplates. I was not able to find a solution for my needs in the aftermarket DSLR aks world, so I made a few plates.
The DSLR Baseplate replaces the OEM attachment plate with a longer version which includes a riser area at the rear. For DSLR cameras this allows greater range of balance adjustment plus sufficient clearance for 15mm (60mm centered) rod mounted accessories. This plate yields faster lens changes and re-balance vs the limited travel inherent in OEM plates.
I created this adapter plate to serve my own needs as a camera operator. I was unable to find a simple adapter plate which allows simple re-balance of the camera “rig” on the head. Changing from a Canon 70-200mm zoom to a 50mm prime required pulling the mattebox, follow focus, and re-positioning the tripod plate onto the 15mm rod adapter. Not practical on a shoot. From my perspective is looks like most of the accessory manufactures have focused on rigs for DSLR hand held vs working from a fluid head.

Replaced the driving light bulb. There was PIAA lights in there, and I replaced it with a shitty $4 auto zone special. I think I am going to order some more piaa's or Hella's.

Fortunately the church's loss was insured. The interior of the church contained interesting features including a drop-down pannel to close off a portion of the sanctuary for smaller groups, but steep entrance steps and other features made it difficult to handle caskets. When this church was built, it was popular to hold funerals at home or at graveside. Now that adjacient house lots are owned by the church, there is room for a larger redesigned church with improved functionality while perhaps still preserving the old walls and windows that gave the original building its character.
Through the gap in the defenses, you can glimpse the thriving quartier that this edifice swept aside.

Buses replace trains for the 20 miles of route between Three Bridges and Brighton. This is for engineering works but are they really working on the entire 20 mile stretch of track and if not, what aren't the trains running apart from where they are actually working?
We prepared the site plan, applied for and obtained the building permit as required. We handled all inspections. All soil was fully compacted. We poured with 4000 PSI concrete. We hand troweled the concrete with a double broom finish We cut all expansion joints accordingly.
Nick replaced the covers in our great room last March, and the aesthetic was much more pleasing. We’re slowly replacing all the wall vent covers...the office and master bedroom got the makeover treatment most recently.
Nick missed the memo about taking BEFORE pictures prior to removing the old covers, and I’ve always been so good about framing shots without the ugly builder-grade covers that I don’t have anything to show for the office to show you how much it is improved...I did find a random bedroom photo in my text messages—not the best quality, but just trust me that it’s better.

The Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Light replaced the original lighthouse in this Ohio port in 1925. It is located where the Grand River meets Lake Erie. I was there and ran into another Great Blue Heron who was very interested in these two nice gentlemen who were fishing. He was keeping an eye on me and flew around as I walked past - only to return to the exact same spot!
