A close up. Isn't she cute?

Even now, the crew were busy repainting and keeping the ship clean and good-looking. And indeed, the paint was blueish...
This man too knew that he would continue with Cunard after QE2 goes to Dubai. Maybe QM2, maybe QV, even more likely a cargo ship.
When I do a repaint commission, I always send out photos of the final work to my customer who can then request for changes to be made. Its very important to me that I can reach the idea the customer has in her head even though it might be difficult at times. This repaint was inspired by Galadriel and my idea of her being wisdom and gentleness the customer wanted her to be powerful and even a bit scary. Just goes to show how different we all are. :)
i kinda hate it. but its a starting point it was also better than seeing her without any face paint..
i also have to stop trying to do cat eyes on dolls that dont have ridges, because i hate how it looks
So I got this girl on sale a while back and finally repainted her. And the next day I went and bought a new MH girl lol. Dunno when I'll have time to repaint her, but hopefully soon! I feel like I caught that darn bug again. :P
Anywho I threw her up on ebay if anyone's interested www.ebay.com/itm/170986456172
Daniel Touriner takes John Lynch's steamer around. John is currently repainting his loco Green after many years of it being Black and before that Red.

I am repainting the interior of my house.
I chose strong lines and shapes for my photo essay.
Perhaps down the road I shall post a before and after of the house, but alas I am not finished painting yet...
Painting has never been my strength, especially details, but I really wanted to use this head, but I honestly can't stand the factory paint job (bottom photo), so I decided to attempt a repaint myself and after several attempts I ended up with something I'm okay with (top photo).
I decided Laguna could use a repaint too... mine had a pretty bad paint job anyhow. I gave her a little fishy tattoo because I thought it might be cute XD
Here is a simple repaint of the Batman figure from The Brave And The Bold set. I really liked the sculpt and though the dial was very interesting, I've just never been a fan of the blue-caped Batman. (Unless you're sneaking around in the water or at a Blue Man Group concert, black is much stealthier and Batman-like.) I used a much darker gray for his bodysuit as well.
So I had some spare dolls I offered to paint up in trade for Mmymoon’s dolls and so I went about customizing them, trying new techniques I didn’t think of trying before.
The Dragon CAM has sculpted milliput boobs made much bigger because, hey, Mmymoon suggested doing different breast sizes and yeah. She also has a CAM Gorgon wig with a paint wash to bring out details and such.
The Abbey has had her tinsel and coloured hair ripped out, her breast size shrunk down and a body repaint.
And the Vampire CaM got repainted, woop.
So I have been wanting to do some doll repaints for a while now but I wasn't sure what dolls I wanted to do them on and then I saw people customizing Monster High dolls and I really love their face shapes and their lips and I decided to try it out. This is originally a Draculaura doll and she is my first custom repaint. She is still awaiting her wig. After I get it I will post more photos.
I've enjoyed doing this so much that I am going to be doing a lot more ^^ and as I get better and if people are interested I will probably start making some to sell.
Walls are Benjamin Moore 'Classic Gray' (Regal Select) in an eggshell finish, to match the dining room, but I had it darkened 25% to help the white trim pop a teensy bit. Trim is Benjamin Moore Advance in 'White', straight out of the can as the machine supposedly color matched it to Sherwin Williams 'Extra White' which is used on the trim in the other rooms. BM Advance really needs to dry overnight and be sanded in between each of three coats. But it's worth it for the lovely hardened finish. Ceilings are Zinsser Stainblock Ceiling Paint in flat bright white (straight out of the can).
