This is a final rendering looking up from the LA river to my cemetery project, done in 3GA at sci-ARC.
This is a base 3d model I built for a student design competition. Students are asked to redesign the elevator lobby and the building facade for the architecture firm.
As you might recongize, super wide angle lens is used in the rendering, along with correction lens. (Something that I can never afford in real life.... =.=)
This is what the wax after the first rendering looked like. Half the volume is trash debris that floated. It was impossible to dip it all out even with a slotted spoon. I just left it alone for further processing.

1,000 moving objects, each composed of 50 triangles, rendered at a reasonable frame rate on relatively modest hardware. Not bad at all!
