I Remember ….
The walk through twilight and dry summer woods,
Hands linked by choice and by a sharp desire,
Thoughts tempered by the mights and shoulds,
While conscience flickers by a driftwood fire.
The moon conducts the music of the sea:
Watch silent breakers glide return advance,
While we are static, happy just to be
A part of things, by love or happenstance.
How can one draw on this a perfect ending
When Nature wields so delicate a brush -
Backdrop to our bodies’ lissome blending,
From first kiss to the final sighing rush
Then, as the sand retains our cooling form,
I pull the stars down close to keep us warm.

Fuji. I took this after my Grandpa died. I was quite sad. Nothing seemed to go right that week. You know, the days where you want to start crying because your pencil broke. Yea, it was that kind of week. This was one of the flowers from his funeral.
R.I.P. Grandpa We miss you ♥
I remember when I first saw you, you asked me to skate. At first I thought there must be some mistake, but you said, "with me". That was over thirty years ago and I still can't believe you asked me.
Every year is better than the last and every day is a gift. It's impossible to say and harder to show you how much I love you, but I'll keep trying. I'll hold you and help you whenever I can. I'll stay by your side and pick you up if you fall. You're my everything and my whole world.
Cheers,
Wade
Remember when this guy was the center of a national political scandal? I’m not saying Tricky Dick has become a saint in hindsight but he is looking like decidedly small potatoes.

A collage I made up using my own images to show my respect for our fallen. please feel free to share
we had a promise made, we were in love.
remember me. i'm always here for you when you're sad, confused or unsure. don't forget what we've got and what we have to come. we can work on this and make it through. we made a promise to each other. remember us. remember everything we've thought about. remember what we're going to be.
Remember Tomorrow (Iron maiden.)
Unchain the colours before my eyes,
Yesterday’s sorrows, tomorrow’s white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of fire.
Tears for rememberance, and tears for joy,
Tears for somebody and this lonely boy.
Out in the madness, the all seeing eye,
Flickers above us, to light up the sky.
Unchain the colours before my eyes,
Yesterday’s sorrows, tomorrow’s white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of fire.
"We do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in the memories we have forgotten." — Cesare Pavese
One of my favorite quotes of all time.
A view of the estate auction from the window of my friends dad's house. I'm pretty sure I saw his dad was there, walking around looking for a bargain.
A very unusual local war memorial in the form of a Celtic Cross.
I was drawn to it's strong form and rugged appearance with the poignant message for all to see.

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom,
blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd from the album Wish You Were Here
Shine On You Crazy Diamond is a 9 part tribute to former Pink Floyd band member Syd Barrett. Barrett, suffering from a mental breakdown, apparently wandered into the studio during the recording of this album. Overweight and having shaved off all of his hair (including eyebrows) the band did not recognize him. Once they did, Roger Waters was apparently reduced to tears.
This song is about Barrett's mental state and seems to reference his struggles with fame.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I remember the green of late-summer days...
I remember some of the details of my August visit to this old favorite abandoned house, but more than that I remember how it feels.
I hope to show you both... the details and the feelings.
Will you tell me what you see so I know how I have done?

My mind wanders back to the torpor of the tropics. . .and to Ling Wah. If the amber scent of her golden skin wasn't enough, the sandalwood perfume of her midnight hair would pull me to her helplessly. But it was her eyes, and the clear longing for my presence that captivated me most of all. I cherished that slight but definite smile that echoes upside down the curves of her eyes and delicate brows.
- - I've wanted to write overdone stuff like that for awhile now. . .yes, completely fiction.
A beautiful specimen of 'Remember Me' photographed at Benalla Rose Garden in early November.
I'll be away for a few days... please don't forget me!! :-)
'See' you next week.
"The process of becoming is a complicated one. Doubt lingers around every bend with the promise of failure. Who we become as we become is not as important as the process--because it is through this toil, this tussle with fate, that we truly begin to understand the intricacies behind our birth." ~Christopher David
These images are from my very first shoot with a model. Courtney has certainly grown, as has his connection with more established photographers. As I've watched him grow I've debated my own, unsure if I'd successfully kept pace. In speaking with him today he commented on my growth and insisted my work had taken on a more professional appearance. Out of curiosity I decided to revisit our first shoot, and what I found surprised me. While indeed the general range within my portfolio had improved, the passion for capturing honest, pure, unfiltered moments was there, even then, as much as it is now. The polish, or professional appearance, is quite a compliment--but beyond that, the ability to capture authenticity in any image is all I ever want, or hope to accomplish. So as I continue to become, I see how important it is to revisit those moments when doubt weighed heavy but commitment to growth continually pushed you through.
Thanks Courtney, for giving me my start, and reminding me of the journey.
