It's been a while it seems.

it looks like the summer's gone and we went straight from july to november.. i can feel my seasonal affectionate disease or whatever that's called coming back slowly :/

i'm not sure if that's all true, but i find it comforting to think that parts of it might be:

15 things to remember

1. At least 5 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.

2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.

4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. If not for you, someone may not be living.

8. You are special and unique.

9. Someone that you don't know even exists loves you.

10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.

11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.

12. When you think you have no chance at getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, you probably sooner or later will get it.

13. Always remember compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.

15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they're great.

i should clarify that i was not the one who came up with the list, i read it somewhere in someone's soup (do you guys know soup.io?) but it didn't give a source there either.

i just love it when i come across something that speaks right out of my heart and is worded so well, because i have trouble wording things right, so i wrote it down to share with you.

56103, 60022 and 66023 make up the front line of locomotives in this evening view of Margam TMD. There are at least 8 other Class 60's on the depot. Margam was a 2-road shed with full servicing facilities. Having been a major repair depot for EWS's class 60 and 66 locomotives due to its facilities, the depot serviced all of EWS's fleet of locomotives in South Wales, after the closure of Cardiff Canton TMD. In September 2008, all services moved to Margam Knuckle Yard and the depot was subsequently demolished. Taken circa 1998.

Remember by Faga is new in store 💕

To all those poor souls from every nation who suffered and died in the trenches of the first world war. So that we shall always remember.

From November 11 (UK rememberance day, Armistice de la Première Guerre mondiale in France) to November 19 (German Volkstrauertag), this week is dedicated to remembering the dead of the First World War. I’ll try doing a photographic equivalent showing places of commemoration to the dead of the great war from 1914 to 1918 from the Württemberg region I live. Though monuments here are naturally dedicated to German soldiers, we should commemorate the dead of every nation that fought the great war.

Inscription reads: Nobody has had greater love, than those who died for their friends.

Bringing the story on route 12 right up to date, here is ARRIVA Buses Wales Enviro 400 4544 - CX14 BXG on November 5th 2014, passing through Belgrano towards Llandudno Pen Morfa (Llandudno West Shore). One thing for sure, the top deck would offer the best view of the fireworks later on!

All who have fallen on this Memorial Day.

Finally got my Rieviera drama Agnes,Masterpiece theatre Giselle and Powerhouse Ayumi back with their new haircuts, feel like getting new girls LOL.

I referenced Rila Fukushima's haircut from her movie Wolverine 2 for Ayumi, and i think it really works for her.

When I took this photograph so many years ago if you had told me that the World Trade Center would be attacked and destroyed I would have never believed you. Please take time today to remember all those who lost their lives and those who are still suffering from this horrible tragedy. Why can't the people of the world just learn to live in peace…it's so much easier than fighting.

Cuando estaba triste

Cuando le vibraba el corazón

Cuando tenía miedo

Cuando no le pasaba nada

Soñaba y viajaba en el tiempo

Y entrelazaba sueños con sueños

Construyendo mil vidas posibles

En las que se veía a sí mismo

Desde distintos ángulos

Y jugaba a matarse

A salvarse la vida

A decirse a sí mismo:

"Recuerda el futuro

Porque nada

Volverá a ser nunca

Como este mañana..."

On Saturday I was pondering where I might go shooting. The sky was a solid sheet of white, which is what I prefer for street photography. Since it’s autumn, though, I thought I would drive to Aurora and revisit a comp I shot last year. Some of you may remember this picture: www.flickr.com/photos/31246066@N04/5109190796.

The sun decided to appear and lit-up my scene rather harshly so I wandered down the tracks and found this field and old shack. By that time the clouds had turned to puffy cotton balls (or at least squishy “blobs”.)

It was at this time last year that I took a photo of Yo (see below). He passed away a few months ago and yesterday I went to meet the family again and give them those photos. They now tell me that it’s the only photo they have of him.

The whole family was there cutting the rice. Seen here is his wife Jawn and youngest daughter Mai. Mai is about to get married and her future husband already living in her village, but they will wait a few more month to get married, since its “too close” to her father passing.

In the Sapa region there are about 35,000 Black Hmong residing in the surrounding 17 villages and they account for about 50% of the area population. Most reside at an altitude of 1,600 – 1,700 meters above sea level in this stunningly beautiful region they call “the city above the clouds”. The Hmong started migrating to Vietnam from China in the last 300 years.

The Norfolk Southern executive train F units made an impressive sight no matter where they operated. Shown is an eastbound office car train in Salem, Ohio, on the Fort Wayne Line.

‘Remember’. An elderly war veteran sits at his desk, surrounded by some of the mementos of a life long lived. His remote cottage is cold and lonely, but he is used to hardship and sacrifice. Warmed by a solitary oil lamp and a cup of coffee with a nip of whiskey from his ever-handy hip-flask, he is now alone, but happy... I love to include any oil-lamp or candles in a scene as they add such wonderful golden light, giving a touch of warmth and hope to what could be a rather melancholy scene! Again, the composition is aimed at creating an overall impression or tone, and historic details are almost certainly inconsistent! 1 and 3/10s F7.1 at ISO100 with Canon 50mm F1.8 mkII, (80mm on my crop-frame camera).

This is a photo I had already posted, but in the comment of the first one below. I think it prettier than that one and, because of this, I am posting it here now! ;¬>
