This is Andrea' from Kemah. When I met her, she was on the phone with an agent trying to find a place in which she and her family can relocate, a place that took pets and that would allow her family to remain in the same school district.
Andrea', a hair stylist, and her family had just leased this house two months ago, and they really felt like they had made it, joyfully telling friends and family that they were just down the street from the water. It was perfect. As Andrea' said it was "so perfect and that's what's devastating." She worries that things will never again be so perfect, that they won't ever again be able to live in their dream home -- having lost so much to flood damage.
That's one thing to remember...even when you see images of houses seemingly in tact along the gulf coast...it's not the house that is the heartbreak, so much as it is the loss of all of the memories inside the house. A flood's aftermath can be visually deceptive. The facade is often very misleading as to the destruction inside. Folks in the midwest know that all to well as do we here on the Gulf Coast.
Andrea's boyfriend, Brian, has an auto glass company, Coastal Auto Glass. If you live in the area and find yourself needing glass repair, please consider Brian for the job. This family will be needing all the help it can get in the coming months.

The Katyń 1940 - Siberia 1939 Memorial commemorates the murder of thousands of Polish POWs in the Spring of 1940 in Katyn and the two million Polish civilians who were forcibly relocated to Siberia where they perished.
A 34 feet tall statue of a Polish cavalry officer, gagged and bound, impaled in the back by a bayoneted rifle, stands atop a granite base containing Katyn soil. The statue is made of cast bronze weighing 6 tons on a granite base weighing 120 tons. The Memorial was created by Andrzej Pitynski
and was unveiled on May 19, 1991 in Exchange Place in Jersey City, NJ.
After the September 11 attack, a 9/11 memorial plaque was added to the west side of the memorial's base.

The Katyn massacre, also known as the Katyn Forest massacre was a mass execution of Polish nationals carried out by the Soviet secret police NKVD in April–May 1940. It was based on Lavrentiy Beria's proposal to execute all members of the Polish Officer Corps, dated 5 March 1940. This official document was approved and signed by the Soviet Politburo, including its leader, Joseph Stalin. The number of victims is estimated at about 22,000, the most commonly cited number being 21,768. The victims were murdered in the Katyn Forest in Russia, the Kalinin and Kharkov prisons and elsewhere. About 8,000 were officers taken prisoner during the 1939 Soviet invasion of Poland, 6,000 police officers, with the rest being Polish intelligentsia arrested for allegedly being "intelligence agents, gendarmes, landowners, saboteurs, factory owners, lawyers, officials and priests."

Final Meeting on Cannington's original greyhound track site before its move to a new facility located immediately behind the current one, with racing expected to commence in October 2015.
Greyhound racing arrived in Western Australia in the early 1970's with the passing of the Greyhound Racing Control Act in 1972 and the formation of the Greyhound Racing Control Board. A number of bids were put forward for the licence to conduct races at different locations around Perth. The eventual winner was the Canning Greyhound Racing Association who proposed a venue on Albany Highway adjacent to the agricultural showground.
The new venue was completed in 1974 with the first meeting held on December 12 of that year. Over the yeas racing has expanded to include tracks at Northam and Mandurah with a switch from grass to sand tracks.
In late 2014 a developement was approved that would see a new greyhound facility built on the old trotting training track located at the rear of the current greyhound facility with the showground's exhibition buildings also extended. The former track would then make way for a new larger Bunnings store and car park to replace the current one located nearby.
The final meeting at Old Cannington was held on Saturday June 27 2015 with the site vacated the following month.
Summerhill's Airlink VG36 stops at the temporary relocated stop on College Green at Bank of Ireland.
The stop was moved to allow for footpath repaving.

Heart Mountain Relocation Center
As you look through the site glass, you see the camp swimming hole. After an internee Boy Scout drowned while swimming in the canal during the summer of 1943, the Administration ordered a large pit excavated just below the canal. The pit was lined with gravel and filled with water, and it became the Heart Mountain swimming hole.
One of the main problems facing the Heart Mountain administrators was keeping the internees busy. Swimming, a popular summer activity, was supervised by lifeguards and swimming instructors.

During the long winter, ice-skating was a popular sport new to most internees. Youth football, basketball, baseball and softball teams were organized. High school sports teams were allowed to become members of the Wyoming Athletic Association and competed against surrounding schools. Judo, Kendo, sumo wrestling, boxing and girls' volleyball, basketball and softball teams were also organized. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls troops were active. After camp restrictions were eased, they could hike up Heart Mountain, camp on the Shoshone River, and practice outdoor cooking, and crafts. Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson of Cody, Wyoming and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta, a former internee, met as Boy Scouts at the Heart Mountain camp when the Cody troop came to visit the internee troop. These two Scouts formed a lifelong friendship and served together in the United States Congress.
The internees also adopted many hobbies including painting, woodcarving, cabinetry, pottery, flower arranging, and needlework. They participated in camp sponsored plays, dances, and traditional arts such as poetry writing, mandolin, and Noh drama. An internee musical group traveled about northern Wyoming to help raise money for war bonds. Two movie theaters, the Dawn and the Pagoda, were established in barracks recreation halls and films were shown on weekends.

CFS Fitout worked closely with the staff and management at Country State, Sydney meet the specific requirements to re-design the current working environment.
Working within the scope of the project requirements, CFS Fitout was able to successfully re-design, build, and install every components for this project, on time and within budget.
Key features for this project included the relocation from the 8th to 10th floor, re-design the current work environment, build new manager offices, new office desks & chairs, joinery & storage, build a new reception and boardroom.
Country State required a complete new office fit out from one level of the building to another level. As a result of this move the project involved office joinery, the relocation of power and overhead lighting, new office partition made from plaster and glass. New electricals and network cables, customer built and designed desks and workstations, office storage and reception area.
Finally, the project required the building of a a new board room with specialist table, chairs and projecttion facilties

This photo has been taken as part of the scientific effort of the salvage archaeologist team H.U.N.E. to document the Sudanese Arab tribe of the Manasir and their cultural landscape 'Dar al-Manasir' situated at the Fourth Cararact of the River Nile.
The homeland of the Manasir will be submerged by the reservoir lake of the Hamdab High Dam (Merowe Multi-Purpose Hydro Project) in the very near future and all inhabitants have to be relocated by the Sudanese government.

Relocated to the grounds of the Wharton County Historical and 20th Century Technology Museums in Wharton, this house originally stood in the town of Gulf, Texas, where it was built in 1917.It was later relocated to College Avenue in Wharton where it was the home to Byrl and Irvin Rather. They were living in this house in 1931, when their son Dan Rather, the famed journalist, was born.
Wharton is a lovely southeastern Texas county seat located just southwest of Houston. It serves Wharton County.
