In 2018, MEC announced that it would open its first store in Saskatchewan. That first store will be located in the Midtown Plaza in downtown Saskatoon where the old food court was located.
To make way for the new store, the mall built a new feed court in the second level of what used to be the Sears store. Parts of the store have also been demolished.
It appears that the Tim Hortons location will stay put and remain where it is. Restaurants that didn't join the new food court include Koryo.
The new food court, called Midtown Common, officially opened on July 26, 2019.

This mall opened in the 1980s and it replaced a giant lot of old buldings.
After the success of The Broadway Department Store moving out of the Downtown Los Angeles Historic Core, Both Bullocks Department Stores and May Co Department Stores decided to relocate to this location.
May Co relocated here from 8th and Broadway/Hill around 1983/1984/1985 and became Robinsons May around 1993, then around 2006, Macy*s took over the chain and kept this location going as a Macy*s along with Macy*s Plaza. The subsequently closed, and the entire complex was renovated. The 2nd floor portion is now Target Department Store.
The rest of the floors have been subdivided.
As for Bullock*s This location relocated from 7th and Broadway/Hill. Bullock*S opened around 1983/1984/1985 (date ?). In 1996 Macy*s, owners of Bullock*s decided to convert all of their Bullock*s Stores to Macy*s, however there was a snag, and they were not allowed to change the name. Instead, it operated as a Bullock*s, which the other location in Downtown Los Angeles converted to a Macy*s from The Broadway. Macy*s operated both stores. While trying to figure out how to close the 7th & Fig location, this location also operated as a clearance center.
Finally, Macy*s was able to close this last remaining location of Bullock*s Department Stores. It sat vacant, subdivided with a gym taking over the first floor. When Target decided to move into the complex, Target took over the 2nd floor to combine with the former Macy*s/Robinsons May side.
This Target is known as City Target Downtown Los Angeles Fig at 7th Fig.
The original top floor of Bullock*s is now a retail store: Zara Retail Store and the top floor of the former Macy*s/Robinsons May is now a H & M Retail Store.
The Mall reopened in late 2012, the Mall includes City Target. Over the last couple of years they have been adding retail stores and restaurants. In 2014 H & M.
Located at 7th Street and Figueroa.
When we came home from our road trip we found that two younger bunnies were living underneath the deck in our back yard. We didn't want the pups to hurt them, so we caught them both and relocated them. They were so adorable!

Drum Point Lighthouse was constructed in 1883 to mark the entrance to the Patuxent River. The screwpile, one and half story hexagonal cottage lighthouse, is one of only three remaining from 45 that were on the Chesapeake Bay. The light was originally built in ten feet of water. Over the years shoreline silting reduced the depth and by the 1970s the light was on dry land. The light was decommissioned in 1962. During 1960s and early 1970s the light was continually vandalized. The light was relocated two miles to the Calvert Marine Museum, restored, and in 1978 open to the public. Drum Point Lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic.
The ship to the right of the lighthouse is the "Willam B. Tennison", built in 1899. The ship has a deck that is more than 60 feet long. The Tennison was converted from sail to power in 1909 and served as an oyster buy-boat until 1978. It is reported that Tennison is the oldest Coast Guard licensed log-hull passenger vessel in the United States. The ship is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark.
I am recommissioning the Suzuki TS50 that I have owned from new in 1976, and that I imported to the UK from South Africa in 2009. On the evening of Sunday, October 7, 2012 I started working on the handlebars - removing the rubber grips and the South African number plate (TP3807).

This photo has been taken as part of the scientific effort of the salvage archaeologist team H.U.N.E. to document the Sudanese Arab tribe of the Manasir and their cultural landscape 'Dar al-Manasir' situated at the Fourth Cararact of the River Nile.
The homeland of the Manasir will be submerged by the reservoir lake of the Hamdab High Dam (Merowe Multi-Purpose Hydro Project) in the very near future and all inhabitants have to be relocated by the Sudanese government.

Built in 1928, this gate originally welcomed fans to Legion Field for sporting events. Legion Field became the home for the Turlock Melon Carnival, which is the predecessor to today's Stanislaus County Fair. This gate was designated a California Point of Historical Interest in 1998. The grounds are also a State Historical Landmark for having served as a relocation center for Japanese-Americans and an Army Rehabilitation Center during WWII.
To make better use of the improved harbour in Port Dalhousie, the entrance lock for the 2nd Canal saw relocation into the habour so that ships transiting the canal did not have to maneuver out of the harbour to enter the canal. Today the old lock serves as an outdoor concert venue.

In addition to our backyard feral colony, we have fixed and fed a number of cats who come to the front of our house. We have always been uneasy about it, because many of these cats live across the street and must cross to get there. We've admittedly lost many cats to the cars that race heedlessly down the street. We always meant to do something about this but we recently lost our long-time feral Horace to a car and can no longer stand to let it happen. So we've begun trapping the front-yard ferals and assimilating them into the back yard crew.
UPDATE: Well, Horace showed up last night, so I guess he didn't get run over! We're still trying to get him and Mongo and move them in the back, it's still too risky on the street.

This is Andrea' from Kemah. When I met her, she was on the phone with an agent trying to find a place in which she and her family can relocate, a place that took pets and that would allow her family to remain in the same school district.
Andrea', a hair stylist, and her family had just leased this house two months ago, and they really felt like they had made it, joyfully telling friends and family that they were just down the street from the water. It was perfect. As Andrea' said it was "so perfect and that's what's devastating." She worries that things will never again be so perfect, that they won't ever again be able to live in their dream home -- having lost so much to flood damage.
That's one thing to remember...even when you see images of houses seemingly in tact along the gulf coast...it's not the house that is the heartbreak, so much as it is the loss of all of the memories inside the house. A flood's aftermath can be visually deceptive. The facade is often very misleading as to the destruction inside. Folks in the midwest know that all to well as do we here on the Gulf Coast.
Andrea's boyfriend, Brian, has an auto glass company, Coastal Auto Glass. If you live in the area and find yourself needing glass repair, please consider Brian for the job. This family will be needing all the help it can get in the coming months.
