Here's the sunset after that storm last night. Not the perfect location as there's not much foreground subject at Lee Point, but the pools and the sky make up for that!
Better on large view // Mejor en vista grande

White wall tires are de rigeur on luxury vintage cars seen at this year's Tour de Rü vintage car rally in Essen, Germany.
The beautiful Low Lighthouse at Burnham on Sea. A much loved and photographed spot, it was somewhere on my list and fortuitously work took me down to this part of the world a couple of years back. I wanted to capture the lighthouse in the context of its environment, the clouds and the water on the beach I felt gave the shot some added interest too

“Down through the middle of the Valley flows the crystal Merced, River of Mercy, peacefully quiet, reflecting lilies and trees and the onlooking rocks; things frail and fleeting and types of endurance meeting here and blending in countless forms, as if into this one mountain mansion Nature had gathered her choicest treasures, to draw her lovers into close and confiding communion with her.”

A different take on the same photo - this time altering the white balance and clarify sliders in Lightroom.
Taken pointing into the sun - about an hour before sunset. Great to see Brighton's elusive Sandy beach.
Lake Moraine - Banff National Park - Alberta, Canada
May is still a snowy, sleepy time in Banff, as Louise and Moraine proved. I was positively enchanted by Matt's Cool Blue shot, taken much later in the year, and was therefore a little disappointed to see so much ice and so little water. The scene was nonetheless amazing.
The Canadian Rockies are indescribably beautiful, majestic beyond proportions, worth a million songs, and even more legends. :-) There's a lovely little scree pile to climb up, affording a vista of this incredible place. I can't wait to go back and see the turquoise blue of Moraine's summer.
