Here is another reflection shot that worked well in my shooting series. This shot was taken through a couple of necklaces and glass at the Normal Felix Gallery on Queen Street West. I took this shot as the subject, Nadia, was looking away - with her hand happening to be in just the right location at just the right time. What I really loved in this photograph was the tiny sliver of a window reflection just below her eyes. Reflection and colour played well together in this photograph which is why I wanted to enhance the two with creative effects.
A Reflection Shot: People that don’t necessarily “need” to look around don’t and for that I feel badly for them. Life is to short to not appreciate the little things, I edited the photo around the main subject which is the tree. It almost looks illuminated simply due to the lighting in the sky, the most powerful piece of this picture is the angle, I set the camera on the trunk and proceeded to take the picture. Its blurry in the right places and draws your eyes to not only the tree but the reflection which seems to be a continuation of the bright tree
second reflection shot. Had the camera's white balance set on "tungsten" to make it look blue because it didn't look as neat otherwise.
NoHo Downtown NYC. “The Reflection” Shot sitting in Starbucks on the corner of Lafayette Street, Astor Place and East 8th Street. Just looking out of the window. Wow!!! Date taken October 20, 2013.
Well, didn't work on my reflection shot like I said I would. It was a beautiful day today so we worked outside. This deer and her two yearlings were just hanging out in the brush just beyond our back yard for a couple hours, keeping an eye on what we were doing.
fyi: Yesterday's high was 37 degrees F and today was in the high 60's. What a difference!
