Taken at the General Foods Building in Kankakee, Illinois. Built in 1936 and closed in 1998, this eight-story building was full of unique things to see. Heavy rain from the days prior had created large pools of water that made for some killer reflection shots and the constantly changing weather added an assortment of looks that usually take days to capture.
Special thanks to ACERE who now operates the facility and is nice enough to let people like me into see this unique piece of history.

The water was unbelievably still. This reflection shot is actually rotated 180 degrees. The water is on the top. Cool huh...

Took these goofing around the James River this morning. The birds were all shot down off the trestle and the pipeline around 12th or 13th st and the river.

At Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens in the Japanese Garden. Finally got a reflection shot with still water.
A nice reflection shot on fathers day. My dad and I collect fun reflection shots. I think at the begining of next year we are going to make a little book.
Another nice reflection shot, this one from the water's edge. Looking at the photos after the fact I was hoping to see the grizzlies but they were about 2.5 miles further up the shore on the right (around the bend).
I think this reflection shot is the most successful, for this assignment as the subject itself is interesting and I think that compared to my other shots, this has the best showing of reflection.
