Teton Reflections. Shot 08-06-2010 The image measures 5605 x 3731. Stitched with CS5 finished with LR3. The image was captured with a Canon 5D MK2 with a 40mm @ f 22 with an average exposure time of about 1/320 sec. ISO 6400.

This is your poor old Sidney snipe as opposed to Jack snipe, which is one of the commonest questions I'm asked.
This has been deliberately taken showing it's natural habitat in amongst the reeds, where it's camouflage is amazing and to me, adds interest to the composition.
To the doubters, I have literally hundreds of shots of them isolated in water, surrounded by even more water, which I find rather boring, although really good reflection shots are ok :-)

Taken Brownsea Island, Dorset. Excellent weather conditions found the wildfowl showing very well from the hides managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust. Slight winds and good sunlight provided some excellent opportunities for some reflection shots as the wildfowl fed in the shallow lagoon.

A while ago I did a reflection shot and had a friend accuse me of faking in in Photo shop. I anticipate he might feel the same about today's shot so I thought I would post the setup.

Wonderful gardens, great for macro, just love strolling around these places, but not so nuts on taking close ups of plants and flowers
After today's long ride I immediately grabbed a beer and my camera. Shot this reflection shot off of a spinner cap from some old jet fighter plane at the Commemorative Air Force Hangar in Camarillo. Today was an awesome day, to say the least. I rode 110 miles with over 10,000 ft of climbing in 7 and a half hours. One for the books, for sure.
Reflection shot at Glendora Ave after some rain. Unfortunately I had to fake the reflection but I still think it makes for a cool composite!
