Even though there are so many boats in the best city in the world, I almost never take pictures of them, maybe because there are so many, but today I wanted to spoil you with some non-reflection shots, not sure if you like them, but it was worth a try, hehe. Today at 5 my weekend starts and I can't wait to have 3 sweet days of doing as little as possible ahead of me...the only thing that sucks is that Monday is just around the corner, but I'll try to forget about that and enjoy the pure pleasure of being the master of my own time, I totally deserve it, lol :)

I tried my hand at a bit of a reflection shot while the UP SD70ACe #1989 (Rio Grande Heritage) along with UP AC44CW #6434 were waiting with UP train KSEMN-27 for the signal at the East end of the approach to MacArthur Bridge on TRRA trackage in East St. Louis, IL on February 1, 2015.

It turned out so-so...wasn't really enough water

I hope you're not getting bored with these reflection shots, because they facinate me. I love the bottom half of this photo, but I wish the tree stood out more on the top half. I tried every processing trick I could think of, but couldn't come up with anything that looked acceptable so I finally decided to let it go as is. Do you like it as is, or can you offer any suggestions?

I thought I would sneak 2 images in this week..... what was she saying, immediately after the reflection shot, and he takes the flowers !!!! Love it !

What a fun trip - Hanalai on the north shore of Kauai is such a beautiful place when it is not raining! I was there over Thanksgiving 2011 just to chill out. Most of the photos are from Hanalai Bay - a great place to relax, read, people watch, and the sunsets were incredible. This is definitely another place to go back to!
