This is a five-image in-camera multiple exposure of some wine glasses in an illuminated wooden cabinet that hangs on my dining room wall. It was taken during some fun I had with this idea back in March.

This image is a composite of five straight (still) images of some five wine glasses with tall stems. I think what I was intrigued about them was the repetition of the light reflections, something I wanted to emphasise using the compound effect of the compound exposure.

I thought I would have a go at processing one today for the Smile on Saturday group’s theme of Mugs & Co. The colours weren’t terribly interesting so I tried rendering it as a toned monochrome using Nik Color Efex.

Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Smile on Saturday :)

One of a series of shots taken at one of Roy Rimmer’s workshops in Northwest England. Thoroughly enjoyable experience where I learned a lot, thanks to Roy’s extensive knowledge and experience.

The wren is a tiny brown bird, although it is heavier and not as slim as the even smaller goldcrest. It is dumpy, almost rounded, with a fine bill, quite long legs and toes, very short round wings and a short, narrow tail which is sometimes cocked up vertically. For such a small bird it has a remarkably loud voice.

It is the most common UK breeding bird, although it suffers declines during prolonged, severely cold winters. What they eat:

When photography becomes art

A few migrant Mallards have arrived to supplement the local duck population.

Of course, my Monday flower greeting today also comes from Marrakesh. There aren't that many flowers here and if there are, you can find them in the parks.

These beautiful purple water lilies here are blooming in the city's most famous park. It should be one of the most beautiful ever. I wouldn't go that far, but I still really liked it here.

The park, with its famous previous owner, whose name I will not reveal today, is one of the most popular sights in Morocco. Every year 850,000 visitors stroll through the rows of palm trees and cactus.

Maybe you already have an idea which park it could be. If not, that's no problem. I have prepared a small series of pictures from here. With that there is then the resolution. So I just have to be patient for a few more days.
