Den Helder is often called "Windy City" , but that day there was absolutely no wind. :)
Willemsoord is a large former dockyard of the Royal Netherlands Navy in Den Helder. It is now a maritime museum, housing the Dutch Navy Museum and the Nationaal Reddingmuseum Dorus Rijkers. In 2009 the replica of the Dutch East India Company ship Prins Willem which was located in a dock (visitable by the public) burned down.

Bouvigne Castle, locally known as Kasteel Bouvigne, lies in a forest south of the city of Breda, in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands.
Bouvigne Castle was first mentioned in 1554 as the property of a Jan van Brecht. It was described as a stately moated house. It had been built in 1548 by Jan to replace an older house. At that time it was called "Boeverie" or "Boeverijen" and was used as a farm. In the remainder of the 16th century the castle was enlarged until it got its present appearance.

Near the German border in the beautiful surroundings of Westerwolde (Southeast Groningen), you will find the fortress of Bourtange. A unique historical defences which is without comparison. In this small, cosy fortress town, the present day and past centuries go together perfectly.

it was a magical early morning walk through the fields and along canals with the sun slowly breaking though the mist until it was just hazy and finally a full sun shining on us and the mills of Kinderdijk

Early morning, raining on and off, heading to the Many Glacier, Glacier NP, States… when passing through Sherborne Lake, surprised by the sunrise colors of the lake and mountains as backdrop. The lake was almost empty but reflected the mountains in its glorious way.
PS: I want to collect my sunrise photos... 😉
Have a safe and happy new week my dear Flickr friends!

NO MULTI INVITATIONS in your commenTs, Tks.
I have too many white snow photos in my laptop, they are all white...😉 Need to change the scene a bit... Here is a panorama captured at Wedge Pond, with 11mm-24mm wider lens, only one shot 😉
Stay safe my dear friends!
PS: update the COVID vaccination: only a little bit arm sour on the second day, will take second injection on the end of the month. At the gym in our hospital, we have over 20 injection stations for vaccinating the front-line healthcare workers. The waiting line for injection by appointment is huge outside of the hospital every day.

Muskoka is referred to as "cottage country". It is consistently named as one of the best places to visit in Canada and the world by publications such as National Geographic, Frommer's and Reader's Digest. It was a cloudy day when I was there, very quiet and nice walking along the lakes.
It was so quiet walking at Laurel Creek Conservation area, it is in the neighborhood. The lake was melted from the frozen winter. Surprisingly, couple of camping tens scattered around in the early spring. The ducks family enjoying their funs on the corner of the lake, they were singing and talking, otherwise it would be very quiet in this conservation area in the city… The sky was burning, sun was down and shinning on the quiet lake.

People use this overpass to cross to the other side of the street.
Used a flash to capture the signage.
Wedge Pond is an ideal location to relax, enjoy a short, easy hike around a small, beautiful pond in Kananaskis, very quiet place, without disturbing by other tourists, maybe day dreaming for a while, or take some photographs. The pond was surrounded by Rocky Mountains, the water was still most of time, the shapes of Rocky Mountains are so unique compared to other places.
The different lens would give totally different results... ;))
Not sure which one is better: wide lens 11-24mm like this one
or 24-70mm lens one - www.flickr.com/photos/runqing/49784343323/in/dateposted-p...

Bow Lake is located on the Bow River, in the Canadian Rockies. Bow Lake was one of the stops during driving on the Icefields Parkway. It was a cloudy morning, I was amazed by the magnificent peaks and reflections on the lake. The view is stunning. Spending some time walking around the lake, the sceneries of Canadian Rockies are out of this world.
