Psalm 104:5-9. "Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed forever. You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At Your rebuke they fled; at the voice of Your thunder they hurried away. They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys to the place which You have founded for them. You have set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth."
Behold the earth, which is the work of His hands! He makes it to rest on solid foundations. No power can change its form or bring it to decay. Behold, also, the sea! It is His, and He made it. Imagination is encouraged to go forth and view all the waters at His command rushing into the basin prepared for them, and forming ocean's wide expanse. View, also, the boundaries by which it is encircled. His mighty voice curbs the wild billows, and says, "Thus far and no further."
I’m given to vicious introspection
Eating like some virulent infection
Bit by bit, devouring from within
Like it knows my every secret sin
Condemning, and rebuking again, and, again
I’m standing here in one place
Of the dreams there seems no trace
Colours into colours twirling
Songs, and questions, incessantly burning
No panacea my heart is stirring
The world is right side down
There seems to be a problem between these two which I interpreted to be the male on the left getting to familiar with the female with a noisy rebuke. Her mate quickly began with a chest bump and foot push.
"Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace, be still!' And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!"
Mark 4:39-41
There has been 30+ mile an hour winds and rain pouring all day long (where I am in California) since 3am. I know this because I kept having to having to wake up all night to take my medication. The weather has been insane today in California. It's knocking out the power and causing accidents on the freeways. Apparently the wind is clocking over 115 miles an hour over the Sierras. That is INSANE!
I took this pic when there was a small and brief hiatus from the rain. The wind hasn't stopped all day, but the rain lifted for about an hour. Right after this our street flooded. It's time like these that I think God reminds us all how BIG and how POWERFUL he really is. I kept staring out the window today just watching all that was happening outside. Amazing. Simply Amazing.

DESIGNATION: CC-1807
NICKNAME: Galaar (Scout)
RANK: ARC Commander grade II
UNIT: Vornskr Company, 3rd Regiment of the 253rd Elite Legion
------------------------------------------------------
"How come we're going back into the sewers Commander? Complaining isn't exactly my thing, but I just got rid of the stench from last time. Besides couldn't they just send some regs from the guard down there to look for stragglers, why does it have to be us?"
"We're not going down there to look for staggers Atin, we're going down there because Durge just took out an entire squad along with an Alpha-Class ARC trooper..."
"Durge is here!? That Chakaar owes me his head!"
"You're going to have to wait your turn vod'ika, I have unfinished business with that demagolka, he killed my entire squad back on Muunilinst..."
"We lost a lot of brothers to that beast back on Muunilinst Trapper and if we play our cards right today will be the day we avenge them, all of them... Today isn't the day for personal glory or revenge that will only get you killed."
"Hound is right, we do this together. No one dies today except Durge, so make sure your heads are in the right place. If the General decides any of you are acting irrationally or emotionally you'll be sent back to the surface. Am I understood?
"YES SIR!"
"Good, prep your squads and make sure they're sufficiently armed, I recommend Trandoshan ACPs, projectile weapons might be better suited for killing this bastard..."
"You heard the boss, the op starts at 0900 GAR time and I expect all Vornskr squads to be lined up and standing by outside of the tunnel entrance by 0845! Get moving Di'kuts!"
"Something is troubling you Galaar, what is it?"
"It's Durge General, last time I faced him I lost a lot of good men, the legion lost a lot of good men it took General Kenobi and several Alpha-class ARC troopers to bring him down and even then they couldn't kill him. I can't help but feel like I'm leading my men to their deaths."
"I see. It's natural to fear for those you lead especially when faced with such a formidable foe, but fear not Commander the force is with us. We'll be fighting Durge within the sewers the space should confine him and neutralize both his mobility and size, if we can back him into a corner I believe we can neutralize him."
"Neutralize him? I didn't think you liked killing organics Sir?"
"For him Galaar I can make an exception."
"Roger that Sir and General... thank you."
-------- [ Some time later ] --------
"Galaar scanners are picking up two life forms past the next junction, could be survivors from Trident squad."
"Roger that. Hound have two men check it out."
"On it."
"Commander wait!"
"What is it General?"
"It's him, it's Durge."
"Roger. Vornskr move in."
[Zsiva Ignites his light-saber as the clones of Vornskr Company begin to run, several of the companies squads split off down adjacent tunnels flanking the bounty hunter. Galaar is beside his General holding a captured Trandoshan ACP scatter gun at the low ready. As they round the corner the men of Vornskr company are greeted by a gruesome scene, across the sewer floor lie bits of shattered plastoid armor and the crumpled bodies of Trident Squad. In the center of the tunnel stands Durge holding the limp body of A-91 by the throat, upon seeing Vornskr Durge throws A-91 against the sewer wall, the impact cracks the stone and A-91 slides down the wall to the floor where he lays motionless.]
"And right when he was beginning to bore me the Republic has the courtesy to send me Fett clones to kill, oh and a Jedi? This day keeps on getting better. Now Jedi would you mind telling your pet clones lurking in the shadows behind me to stand down while I gut you with your own lightsaber? No? That's a shame, prepare to die force feeder!"
[In a blur of movement Durge spins around and tosses several charges at the Vornskr squads who had flanked him, his many nerve clusters alerting him to their presence before they even had a visual on the Gen'Dai bounty hunter. The charges explode mid air dropping the latter half of the tunnel and forcing the clones to withdraw. Zsiva rushes forward, but with uncanny speed Durge meets his attack grabbing the Jedi Knight by the face and plunging him into the murky water of the sewer. It is at this moment that the tunnel is illuminated with the brilliant blue of blaster fire, with their general now out of the line of fire Galaar and his remaining men pour every bit of fire power they have into Durge, but only the few ACP scatter guns scattered throughout the squads manage to dent his armor, the blaster fire merely deflects into the tunnel's ceiling or disappears leaving nothing but smoldering black streaks across the bounty hunters silver armor. Suddenly a blazing pink light erupts from the water cleaving straight through the soft armor underneath Durge's shoulder, the blow takes his arm and with it releases Zsiva from his watery grave. Rising the Jedi General holds his blade to Durges throat...]
"Surrender Bounty Hunter."
"That's going to cost you meatbag."
[Before Zsiva could rebuke Durge a hail of blue blaster-fire struck the bounty-hunter engulfing him in steam as his armor began to heat up from the repeated blaster impacts. The fire stops as the tunnel becomes obscured by smoke.]
"Did we get him?"
"I'm not sure trooper..."
[Vornskr falls silent as brutish laughter begins to echo through the tunnel, the clones train their blasters on the last know location of Durge and Zsiva readies his saber once more, but before anyone can make a move a red tentacle like appendage shoots out from the steam and sends Zsiva cartwheeling down the tunnel, taking several clones with him. Cursing Galaar drops his empty ACP and draws his DC-17 blaster pistols.]
"Vornskr light him up!"
"Vornskr? Like the dog? I wonder clone... will you whimper like a dog when I break you?"
"Shut up demagolka."
"Oh mando'a? Bad choice soldier boy I hate Mandol..."
[Durge is cut short as a volley of well placed shots demolish his helm and with it his voice box.]
"What's the matter bounty-hunter?
[Galaar is interrupted by an enraged cry as Durge charges him]
"Fier'fek..."
[Once agian the clones open fire in an attempt to push the now enraged Durge back, to an extent they're successful, but Durge shows no sign of slowing or defeat.]
"He's not going down!"
"I know! Keep firing!"
[Galaar is afraid, not because he may die, but because he may have very well just lead his men to their death, with Zsiva out of commission and his company at half strength as well has their heavy weapons restricted due to the tunnels Galaar was unsure how to move forward. They would just have to keep blasting until either Durge didn't get up or the tunnel collapsed on-top of them. It was in that moment of uncertainty when Galaar saw a solution.]
"Lucky on my command have the men fire at the ceiling, we're going to drop the tunnel on the shabuir!"
"Roger!"
[Galaar begins to push forward driving Durge back towards the already weakened section of the tunnel]
"Now!"
[Galaar throws himself backwards as the support beans begin to glow orange and bend from the concentrated blaster-fire. Durge cries out and attempts to throw himself clear but a grenade from Galaar keeps him pinned in the killzone. The explosion is followed by the jarring snapping of metal supports. The men of Vornskr Company look on as the beams give way burying the Gen'dai bounty-hunter under a heaping pile of stone and steal.]
"You think he's dead?"
"We're not that lucky Atin, besides wouldn't be the first time that abomination has been buried alive by a bunch of Mandalorians..."
"Hound contact command, tell them that we've subdued the bounty-hunter Durge and the Coruscant Guard is clear to sweep the tunnels for explosives."
"On it Sir, shouldn't you let them know yourself?"
"I have more pressing matters to attend to, someone has to go find the General and let him know he missed all the fun."
"He'll probably be devastated that we managed not to kill the monster. I'll have Trapper send his medics your way Sir."
"Thank you Hound, oh an let command know they're going to have to send someone else down here to dig that chakaar out."
"Yes Sir!"

That was quite the story to tell, honestly I'm a tad bit worried that I let it go a little to much, especially with the length and if any of you managed to make it through the whole thing I'd greatly appreciate some pointers and feedback on the writing aspect! Overall this was a fun little build and I'm super happy with how it came out, I really enjoyed the challenge of building the Corellian sewers again and having to build something new while keeping it similar enough to my 17.1 build for people to recognize it as another section of the same system. I'm hopping that over the next week I can hopefully get another two builds one, one being GCW themed and the other will be either for the Legion or maybe modern depending on what I'm feeling. Until then any criticism is appreciated, thanks for stopping by and have a good one!

My dear Flickr friends I have been under the weather and unable to post more often. Our internet service which is the only option that we have in this area sometimes gets too slow and often fails. I am looking forward to admire your beautiful art. I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.
I stopped by one of the Deltona Lakes and found this lovely Sandhill Crane nesting. I took several shots and was able to approach her without disturbing her. I was totally immersed in capturing all the movements of this gracious and elegant Mom. I did not see her partner and it surprised me because they are often together. Every time she saw other Sandhill Cranes fly over the lake she stretched her long neck as if she was hoping that it was her mate coming back to their nest. I hope he is well and goes back to his darling wife to share the load and get to care together for their new baby.
PD: God willing if I am not in need to go back to the Hospital again, I am planning to share with you at least two more of the shots that I took of this lonely Mom “Nesting by the Waters”
As usual I will like to thank you in advance for stopping by to appreciate my work with all your heartwarming comments, faves and views and for sharing your wonderful photographs.
I treasure your healing thoughts, wishes, prayers and sweet friendship. As I keep on gathering strength I will be able to return your lovely comments. Thank you so much for your sweet kindness.
Peace and love to all of you! :)
Nesting by the Waters
Nesting by the waters
of Your saving grace
in your peaceful sanctuary
I abide.
Your infinite love is
my nesting ground
where you bring into
harmony the uneven
rhythm of my broken heart.
Your infinite love is
my nesting ground
where you revive my
fainting lonely soul.
Your infinite love is
my nesting ground
where you lift up my spirit with
your splendorous radiance.
Nesting by the waters
of Your saving grace
in your peaceful sanctuary
I abide.
Poem by Kenziu Garcia
Sandhill Crane at Deltona Lakes, Florida.
“Psalm 104
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Lord my God, you are very great;
You are clothed with splendor and majesty.
The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment;
He stretches out the heavens like a tent
and lays the beams of His upper chambers on their waters.
He makes the clouds His chariot
and rides on the wings of the wind.
He makes winds His messengers,
flames of fire His servants.
He set the earth on its foundations;
it can never be moved.
You covered it with the watery depths
as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
But at your rebuke the waters fled,
at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;
they flowed over the mountains,
they went down into the valleys,
to the place you assigned for them.
You set a boundary they cannot cross;
never again will they cover the earth.
He makes springs pour water into the ravines;
it flows between the mountains.
They give water to all the beasts of the field;
The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
The birds of the sky nest by the waters;
they sing among the branches.
He waters the mountains
from his upper chambers;
the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.
He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants
for people to cultivate, bringing forth food
from the earth:
wine that gladdens human hearts,
oil to make their faces shine, and bread
that sustains their hearts.
The trees of the Lord are well watered,
the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
There the birds make their nests;
the stork has its home in the junipers.
The high mountains belong to the wild goats;
The crags are a refuge for the hyrax.
He made the moon to mark the seasons,
and the sun knows when to go down.
You bring darkness, it becomes night,
And all the beasts of the forest prowl.
The lions roar for their prey and seek
their food from God.
The sun rises, and they steal away;
they return and lie down in their dens.
The people go out to their work,
to their labor until evening.
How many are your works, Lord!
In wisdom you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures
beyond number,
living things both large and small.
There the ships go to and fro, and
Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.
All creatures look to you
to give them their food
at the proper time.
When you give it to them,
They gather it up;
when you open your hand,
they are satisfied with good things.
When you hide your face,
they are terrified;
when you take away their breath,
they die and return to the dust.
When you send your Spirit,
they are created, and you
renew the face of the ground.
May the glory of the Lord
endure forever; may the Lord
rejoice in his works-
he who looks at the earth,
and it trembles,
who touches the mountains,
and they smoke.
I will sing praise to my
God as long as I live.
May my meditation be
pleasing to him,
as I rejoice in the Lord.
But may sinners vanish
from the earth and the
wicked be no more.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Praise the Lord.”

Subway sandwich thrower found not guilty in D.C. jury rebuke
Not guilty. That was the finding of a jury on Thursday in the case of a man charged with assault for throwing his hoagie at a federal officer in Washington, D.C.
The jury's conclusion came after about seven hours of deliberations. The case of the Subway sandwich has come to symbolize how many in the nation's capital feel about the Trump administration's surge of federal law enforcement to the city.
A bystander's video captured Sean Charles Dunn in August calling federal officers racists and fascists. He thought they were about to do an immigration raid at a gay nightclub on Latin Night.
He also threw his Subway sandwich at Gregory Lairmore, an agent with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Lairmore, who was wearing a bulletproof vest, told jurors the sandwich exploded and he smelled onions and mustard — though he wasn't hurt. Dunn was later caught by police and fired from his job at the Justice Department.
The U.S. attorney's office in D.C. initially tried to charge Dunn with felony assault. When a grand jury failed to indict him on that charge, the case was downgraded to a misdemeanor charge for assaulting or impeding a federal officer. Prosecutors said Dunn went too far, and people should not be allowed to throw things at law enforcement.
Dunn argued that he was being singled out because of his criticism of the Trump administration. His lawyers also teased out the absurdity of the situation, arguing it was a harmless gesture that caused no harm or injury. Lairmore, who was wearing a bulletproof vest, admitted during the trial that he received gag gifts from colleagues, including a plush sandwich and a patch that says "Felony Footlong."
"I'm relieved and I'm looking forward to moving on with my life," Sean Charles Dunn said outside the courthouse on Thursday after the jury's verdict.

when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.
So now I have sworn not to be angry with you,
never to rebuke you again.
10 Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

She might've been somewhere in this crowd, not sure. I did yell out at one point, "Hey! Anyone got some fish for sale?" Hoping that her dad might stride forth with a sturgeon or something but, I was quickly rebuked, as the fishmonger was a couple of blocks over and didn't drink on Friday nights, due to an old Irish family custom. I never did find out what he peddled, though it did occur to me that maybe he was a bicyclist.
Haverhill, Massachusetts.
Of note: It's hard to say Massachusetts after a nice pint of Kilkenny.
“Totalitarianism is not a historical coincidence. In the final analysis, it is the logical consequence of mechanistic thinking and the delusional belief in the omnipotence of human rationality. As such, totalitarianism is the defining feature of the Enlightenment tradition.” ‒ Mattias Desmet
Totalitarianism is a product of the Enlightenment tradition. It places faith in human rationality. It’s a belief system in which man’s intellect can save man, the world, and the universe. Man will solve man’s problems, thus bringing salvation to mankind. Its priests desire to form a new society built on rationality. They want a world without pain and suffering. They even want to conquer death. Science, man’s new religion, has its own creation story. In this story, man has been reduced to particles that interact according to the laws of mechanics. Life and mankind were randomly produced without any purpose or direction. Man is seen as a machine; he works (repetitively) as a machine; he will merge with machine. The universe is also a machine, and it too will eventually be manipulated. The spiritual elect of this religion look forward to an artificial heaven on earth, where man and nature have been replaced by perfect technological clones. Once this happens, man will have conquered both man and nature. He will then gain eternal life. He will synthetically live forever. “Amen and Hallelujah!” shout the transhumanists. As a result, the totalitarians will have realized their goal of a superman/super race like the New Soviet Man/Aryan Race. The idolatry of science, which aims to create a perfect world, will ultimately result in a dystopian nightmare. Their rationality will become irrational. Secular humanism will fail.
“Man is at last becoming aware that he alone is responsible for the realization of the world of his dreams, that he has within himself the power for its achievement.” – Humanist Manifesto I
With science came technological advancement. These advances separated man from nature, tradition, and family. The industrial revolution changed the social fabric of society. Before industrialization, most families lived in rural areas and did agricultural work. The family worked together to support itself. Multiple generations lived together in the same area. Extended families were an important part of society. After industrialization, many families moved to urban areas and did manufacturing work. They became cogs in the machine, working meaningless jobs. This movement split up the extended family unit. Then there was one: the nuclear family. “The dynamics of industrialization contributed to the rise of single-parent families. Factors such as increased divorce rates, the normalization of out-of-wedlock childbirth, and the empowerment of women to raise children independently all played a role in this shift.” As you can see, the nuclear family has not fared too well. Technology produced the radio, television, and social media, which have created an antisocial society. Technology was supposed to make life easier; it was supposed to make us happier, yet it has made us lonely and unhappy. Society has lost its meaning. People come home from meaningless jobs, only to live meaningless social lives online. Wolves chase after those separated from the herd, because they are easy targets. When the isolated are rounded up and killed, no one will fight for them because they are isolated from the herd. Those who are alone and isolated will be seen as useless eaters by their enemies. “To keep you is no gain; to kill you is no loss.” Indeed, a lonely society is very prone to accepting totalitarianism.
The Enlightenment was supposed to empower us, yet we have become more powerless. The Enlightenment was supposed to make us more independent, yet we have become more dependent. Plus, technology is controlled by the few. With science, a perfect artificial world is being built. It’s creating a fake Garden of Eden that is full of genetically modified foods, lab-grown meat, sex dolls that look like Eve, and synthetic-fiber clothing to hide our naked bodies of sin. Don’t eat the genetically modified fruit, it will kill you! Automated machines, robots, and artificial intelligence will replace man’s toil. Artificial wombs will replace the pain of childbirth. The digital paradise being constructed dehumanizes us. It steals our humanity. It makes us insecure, unempathetic, narcissistic, apathetic, cowardly, lonely, and isolated. An insecure society is less resilient. An insecure society is easier to control. An unempathetic, narcissistic, apathetic, and cowardly society will look the other way when people are rounded up and killed. A lonely and isolated society is weak and submissive. They feel empty and meaningless, and they have little self-worth. Such a society yearns for direction and authority. They are weak and lazy and want someone (the state) to take care of them.
We have a dumbed-down society. The education system teaches us how to be cogs in the machine. Mass media is a giant propaganda machine, indoctrinating the masses. The ignorant zombies have been trained to listen to the experts. These experts lead the sheep with twisted data and statistics. Thus, the people are easily led. Safety: give up your freedom of privacy to fight terror. Misinformation: give up your freedom of speech to fight hate speech. 15-minute cities: give up your freedom of movement to fight climate change. Mass immigration: give up your culture for multiculturalism. Abortion is women’s health. Euthanasia is good. By the way, how many genders are there? Society has been molded and shaped. You have been taught what to think, not how to think.
“I don’t want a nation of thinkers, I want a nation of workers.” ‒ John D. Rockefeller
Students have been indoctrinated and radicalized by feminism, gender theory, critical race theory, and decolonialism. The goal: abolish women, gender, race, borders and nations. All hail the tranhumanist new world order! The youth are taught that capitalism is bad and socialism is good. They’ve been taught to hate their own country, traditions, values, and culture. They’ve been taught to hate their own race! Humiliation is a tool of control to shape and guide them. If a person loses their identity, they can be easily manipulated and brainwashed. Our youth have been taught that a communist revolution is necessary to overthrow capitalism. The end justifies the means! Therefore, radicals in the education system have raised up an army of woke activists. These woke evangelists have been poisoned by envy, hate, and bitterness. It doesn’t help that subversive billionaires are pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into supposed ‘organic’ protests, which are being organized by professional protesters (communist agitators). Wokeism is the new puritan movement of today, with its moral values and commandments. These born-again socialists preach the dialectic gospel of social(ist) justice and equality. These radicalized saints promise a perfect world. A radicalized society is prone to accepting totalitarianism. In fact, it’s extremely prone to accepting totalitarianism. Especially when the youth are radicalized!
“Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world.” ‒ Vladimir Lenin
Science, the religion of the day, has become corrupted. Fraud in scientific research is increasing. Falsified scientific papers are becoming more and more common. The perception of reality can be steered by crunching numbers in any desired fashion. (Climate change data is famous for distorting numbers.) Totalitarians mold the perception of reality with propaganda. The COVID-19 hysteria, with its “follow the science,” was proof of its degeneration. People blindly became disciples of the experts. Their apostles commanded: Mask up, even though it’s ineffective! Social distance, even though it’s useless! Take a PCR test, even though it’s unreliable! Take the vaccines, even though they haven’t been properly tested! Ivermectin is bad, even though it can help some patients! The population must be locked down, even though it’s physically and mentally bad for their health and weakens their immune system! Herd immunity, what’s that? Small businesses must be shutdown, even though big corporations like Walmart can stay open! Schools must be shut down, even though the average age of death is 70+ years old! Fire the unvaccinated healthcare workers, even though the emergency rooms are supposedly full and short-staffed! TicTok nurses! Dance, baby, dance! We’re in a pandemic, can’t you see!?! Falsely mark down unrelated deaths as COVID deaths—beef up those numbers! Big numbers, big money! Since this is science, we must suppress opposing ideas! Science that censors different opinions is not science. Much of society faithfully trusted the science, with its religious experts and scientific doctrines, numbers and graphs. In Nazi Germany, children were conditioned to accept any form of authority without question. Without question, many people blindly obeyed the COVID restrictions. To this day, some people mask up in public. They are religious zealots! They still haven’t woken up from their indoctrination. The science of today: take a big pharma flu shot, rather than rely on your own immune system; take a big pharma flu shot, rather than eat foods that are high in antioxidants like vitamin C. Could you not just find a natural vitamin C supplement? Nope! We love big pharma! We love big corporations! We love Big Brother! We love fascism! Since you’ve been trained to be a consumer, you’ll consume what has been marketed to you. Oh, the science of propaganda! Ah, the science of marketing!
“Scientism has remained to this day one of the strongest Gnostic movements in Western society.” – Eric Voegelin
During COVID-19, people were not only begging for totalitarian measures, but they were applauding them. They wanted strict rules to ease their uncertainty, fear, and insecurity. They coped with their insecurity by running others down. The big bad enemies were not the Jews, but the unvaccinated. Fear needs an enemy! People were calling for the unvaccinated to be rounded up. Some even wanted the unvaccinated killed. This made them feel more secure, like they had the upper hand. They had the camaraderie of the mob; they felt like they belonged! The extra rules helped ease their anxiety. They felt more in control of their fear. The fellowship of the mob helped to further ease their stress and insecurity. There is security in numbers! They rebuked, denounced, and excommunicated heretical friends and relatives who strayed from the holy narrative. They felt righteous, because they were supposedly fighting for a righteous cause. This made them feel virtuous. They were crusaders for the truth, and they felt heroic! They felt relief as they took out their frustrations on their enemies. They blew off steam! They felt good! They felt energized!
These people had an authoritarian mindset. Their true selves, their true natures, came to the surface. They had a mob mentality. They had a pack mentality. These people were so filled with fear, hysteria, and panic that they could not think straight. They lost their ability to calm down and think things through. They could not regulate their fears and emotions. As a result, they could not think critically. How can one think critically in a panic? In fact, since they were taught to be cogs in the machine, they weren’t really taught to be critical thinkers. Just as a child must learn how to walk, a child must be taught how to critically think. They were taught to solve problems related to the machine, but they were not taught to think outside the machine. That is why they say things like: I support free speech, ‘but’ not hate speech. They don’t even understand how speech operates under the framework of free speech. They literally can’t understand the concept of free speech! It’s over their heads. Will these people ever change? Nope, I’ve yet to see any of them apologize for their actions during COVID. Given the right crisis, our society will accept totalitarianism.
Big government, with its increased bureaucracy, administration, and management, loves to make ever-increasing rules and regulations. We are drawing closer and closer to totalitarianism. We will soon have a totalitarian system with digital biometric IDs, central bank digital currencies, and social credit scores. We are becoming a total surveillance society. Our data is being collected, tracked, analyzed, and sold. COVID caused a worldwide hypnosis, a mass hysteria, in which the masses were ready to trade their freedoms for safety. Nothing much has changed. The world’s population is slowly being boiled like a frog; it’s slowly being corralled into a worldwide authoritarian system. Like Nazi Germany, many today would pick totalitarianism if they were promised economic solutions in a time of financial hardship. If we had another great depression like the 1930s, many in our decadent society would pick a totalitarian system. They would choose digital IDs, CBDCs, and social credit scores if they could receive universal basic income to feed their families. Is it really a stretch to see why people would accept the Mark of the Beast?
In the fourth industrial revolution, man will physically merge with technology. Of course, this technology is supposed to make man smarter and healthier. It’s supposed to turn man into the perfect superman. How can the imperfect make the perfect? Man is an imperfect sinner. He has sinned against God. God is perfect, and sin is imperfect. Perfection and imperfection do not mix. Righteousness and sin do not mix. Light expels darkness, God expels sin. God’s punishment for sin is death. God will permit sinful man to utilize his strength and rationality to attempt to work out his own salvation. Ultimately, man will fail. Christ will return to stop man from destroying all life on earth at the battle of Armageddon (Matthew 24:22). Jesus will destroy those who, in their sin, are destroying the earth (Revelation 11:18). Jesus first came as a sacrificial Lamb for the atonement of sins. The second time, Jesus will come as a roaring lion to destroy His enemies. His enemies will choose His imposter, the antichrist. They will accept the transhuman Mark of the Beast. As a result, they will forfeit salvation. Only in Christ (the perfect sacrifice) is sin forgiven. Will you accept His salvation? Or will you try, in your sin, to work out your own salvation?
Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him, and he with Me.”

"O Father, give us the humility which realizes its ignorance, admits its mistakes, recognizes its need, welcomes advice, accepts rebuke. Help us always to praise rather than to criticize, to sympathize rather than to discourage, to build rather than to destroy, and to think of people at their best rather than at their worst. This we ask for thy name's sake." (Prayer of William Barclay, 20th century)

Knox Presbyterian Church was established when the minister and 114 parishioners separated from the St. Andrew’s congregation following a split in the Presbyterian Church in Scotland in 1840’s to form the Knox Free Church. In 1847 a new structure was built on this site. One of the common practices of the Free Church was to bring members forward at regular intervals to be sternly rebuked by the minister.
The Temple of Badri Vishal:
Badrinath Temple one of the most visited Hindu Pilgrimage sites in Uttaranchal under 5 feet of snow.
Legend has it that Lord Vishnu came to the area, called ‘Badri Van’, or the berry garden, to meditate after Narad rebuked the Lord for being immersed in worldly pleasures. The main deity is a meditating Lord Vishnu. one of the three Gods of the Hindu Trinity.
A Temple has existed here from the 7th Century AD (though some evidence has been found of an even earlier shrine at the spot dating from the Buddhist period of Gandhara & even earlier to pre vedic times.
This present temple though dates back some 300 years and has some good wooden carvings which make up the ceiling and pillars.
The priest of this temple comes from a village in Kerela and this tradition dates back to the time of Adi Shankacharya the great reformer of Hinduism in the North who revived Hindu pilgrimage sites , temples and set up schools of learning across the Himalayas. He was originally born in Kerela too and this memory is kept alive.
During winter the priests and the idols are shifted to Joshimath ( mostly in the 3rd week of November) as Badrinath often gets cut off from the rest of the world due to snows which can pile up 20 ft during a bad winter making the roads useless..

Proverbs 27 : 5
"Open rebuke is better than secret love."
1 Timothy 5:20
"Them that sin, rebuke before all, that others may also fear."
James 5:20
" Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from error of
his way , shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins."
In Nehemiah 13:25, Nehemiah cursed, struck and pulled out the hair of the
Jews who rebelled by having pagan wives. There were other incidences
where he forced people to stop lending money at interest, (Nehemiah 5:10-13)
and threatened people for breaking the Sabbath (Nehemiah 13:19-21).
Nehemiah forced people to do the right thing. Jesus Also overturned
the tables of the moneychangers in the temple (Matthew 21:12-13).
These examples sound like radical, but that's how they did it in their times
when they rebuke people , even Jesus did it . There's no molly cuddling
with sin, like what many Christians do today. I'm no exception to sinning,
I am just cleansed through repentance and has regenerated and have
awareness of sin. The reason I always pray to the Lord to judge me heart
as it may be hibernating some little ugly sins I didn't realized they are there.
That we should always be on guard.
Here's from Ezekiel , If we don't warn someone in error to turn from evil,
we are partly responsible . This came as a shock to me !
Ezekiel 33:8
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die;
if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked
man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand."
Ouch, this is even more worrying , as the Lord will ask us ....
Will you be able to reason out with the Lord ?
So should we keep quiet and zip up our mouths shut when one stands up and
ridicules us and our God Almighty , we have to hide and shut up in the name of
of PEACE ?
Or found our love ones doing what he/ she should not be doing is a blow.
Can we let go of the moment , never talk about it at all , don't like to hurt our love one,
and letting them go and continue to sin ?
It's can be very difficult . But we are given the command to rebuke .
No wonder WITCHCRAFT for instance is proliferating in this day
and age because many christians / churches like the cocoon of comfort of peace
and is ready to run away from significant issues regarding the threat to
the faith rather than to confront and make an official
stand against sin and judge lovingly in the open by
the word of God .
This might be easy said than done, but our strength is the Lord.
Pray before you do the rebuking and take the Spirit of God in control
of everything .

When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”
The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar and said, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.”
There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the jews.
One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”
But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”

The Kariye Mosque, and formerly known as the Church of the Holy Saviour in Chora, was a medieval Greek Orthodox church, now used as a mosque, in the Edirnekapı neighborhood of Istanbul, Turkey. The neighborhood is situated in the western part of the municipality (belediye) of the Fatih district. The building is an example of Byzantine architecture. In the 16th century, during the Ottoman era, it was converted into a mosque; it became a museum in 1945, and was turned back into a mosque in 2020 by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Its desecularization has, however, been halted as of January 2021 due to lack of Islamic cultural significance and clerical interest in the site, compared to the Hagia Sophia. The interior of the building is covered with some of the oldest and finest surviving Byzantine Christian mosaics and frescoes; they were uncovered and restored after the building was secularized and turned into a museum.
The Chora Church was originally built in the early 4th century as part of a monastery complex outside the city walls of Constantinople erected by Constantine the Great, to the south of the Golden Horn. However, when Theodosius II built his formidable land walls in 413–414, the church became incorporated within the city's defences, but retained the name Chora (for the presumed symbolism of the name see above).
The majority of the fabric of the current building dates from 1077–1081, when Maria Doukaina, the mother-in-law of Alexius I Comnenus, rebuilt the Chora Church as an inscribed cross or quincunx: a popular architectural style of the time. Early in the 12th century, the church suffered a partial collapse, perhaps due to an earthquake.
The church was rebuilt by Isaac Comnenus, Alexius's third son. However, it was only after the third phase of building, two centuries after, that the church as it stands today was completed. The powerful Byzantine statesman Theodore Metochites endowed the church with many of its fine mosaics and frescoes. Theodore's impressive decoration of the interior was carried out between 1315 and 1321. The mosaic-work is the finest example of the Palaeologian Renaissance. The artists remain unknown. In 1328, Theodore was sent into exile by the usurper Andronicus III Palaeologus. However, he was allowed to return to the city two years later, and lived out the last two years of his life as a monk in his Chora Church.
Until the Fall of Constantinople
In the late 13th and early 14th centuries, the monastery was home to the scholar Maximus Planudes, who was responsible for the restoration and reintroduction of Ptolemy's Geography to the Byzantines and, ultimately, to Renaissance Italy. During the last siege of Constantinople in 1453, the Icon of the Theotokos Hodegetria, considered the protector of the City, was brought to Chora in order to assist the defenders against the assault of the Ottomans.
Around fifty years after the fall of the city to the Ottomans, Hadım Ali Pasha, the Grand Vizier of Sultan Bayezid II, ordered the Chora Church to be converted into a mosque — Kariye Camii. The word Kariye derived from the Greek name Chora.[6] Due to the prohibition against iconic images in Islam, the mosaics and frescoes were covered behind a layer of plaster. This and frequent earthquakes in the region have taken their toll on the artwork.
In 1945, the building was designated a museum by the Turkish government.[7] In 1948, the American scholars Thomas Whittemore and Paul A. Underwood, from the Byzantine Institute of America and the Dumbarton Oaks Center for Byzantine Studies, sponsored a restoration program. From that time on, the building ceased to be a functioning mosque. In 1958, it was opened to the public as a museum, Kariye Müzesi.
In 2005, the Association of Permanent Foundations and Service to Historical Artifacts and Environment filed a lawsuit to challenge the status of the Chora Church as a museum. In November 2019, the Turkish Council of State, Turkey's highest administrative court, ordered that it was to be reconverted to a mosque. In August 2020, its status changed to a mosque.
The move to convert Chora Church into a mosque was condemned by the Greek Foreign Ministry and by Greek Orthodox and Protestant Christians. This caused a sharp rebuke by Turkey.
On Friday 30 October 2020, Muslim prayers were held for the first time after 72 years.
The horde of loathsome Outlaws had gained even greater numbers than before! The evil baron of the queen, Mathieux Deschamps, deemed the extra reinforcements necessary if he was to fully subjugate the unruly, rebellious Loreesi to their ever-patient sovereign.
They had just crossed into the area traditionally claimed as the border of Loreos, when they heard a low rumble, not from their own feet. The entire force stopped in consternation. Then suddenly, the banner of the old King appeared over the next rise of sand dunes! Then a rider on horseback... No, a knight! The gleam of armor could be seen!
Then more and more knights! Hundreds! Thousands!
The horde of Outlaws was utterly shocked to see a enormous army of the terrible armored knights of Loreos arrayed before them!
It was then the Outlaws began to seriously question their leader's leadership abilities...
"Baron! You said the Loreesi armies were disbanded!!"
The Baron's eyes widened in terror.
"They are!! Or they should be!!"
"Well I see a big un-disbanded army there! What are we going to do!?"
"We'll fight them, you cowards! They are the rebels now!"
"Wait a minute there! We didn't sign up for an even battle with armored lancers! You promised us lots of plunder and booty with little or no danger!"
As the arguments of the Outlaw soldiers and their leader escalated, the Loreesi leader strode forward.
"I DEMAND PARLEY!"
One of the Outlaws recognized the man whose voice had just echoed over the battlefield. The perfect hair! The ever-present grin! The famous emblem on his shield! It could be none other than the "Bane of all Outlaws"!
"IT'S MARK OF FALWORTH!!!"
Stunned silence hung in the air.
Then the Outlaws all simultaneously cried-
"WHHAAAT!?!?!?!?"
"B-But, we killed him!"
"No, the dragon got 'em!"
The Baron was just as confused as his men.
"No! No! I killed him with a boulder!"
The Loreesi knight called out again.
I AM MARK OF FALWORTH!! AND I DEMAND PARLEY!!
One of the Outlaws nudged the Baron.
"Well Mathieux? Aren't you goin to talk to em?"
"NO I'm not going to talk to him! It's probably a trap!"
One of the biggest outlaw warriors rebuked the baron.
Oh, you're going to talk to him! Unless you want us to hand you over to the Loreesi as a plea bargain!
A chorus of assent ran through the Outlaw army. Mathieux had no other choice.
The evil baron rode out to meet the Loreesi leader.
Mathieux Deschamps had seen Mark of Falworth several times before, and there was no question in his mind that this was the real Mark of Falworth.
The happy grin was a dozen times more terrifying than usual.
Mathieux, despite being almost lost for words, was the first to speak.
"How?..... How could you be?..."
"Alive? Haha!"
"The dragon they speak of....?"
"He mussed up my hair. So I had to kill him."
The baron swallowed hard.
"You can never win, Mathieux.
You're doomed to failure!"
"Is that so?"
"It's an absolute certainty, I'm afraid."
"And why is that, Mark?"
"You've made me your enemy! and now I've come for you and all who would stand by you!"
"Well I hate to disappoint you. But my army is still larger then yours! You won't be able to stop us!"
"Your ugly rabble could hardly stand a good strong breeze, let alone the mightiest warriors in the world! These knights have marched to the gates of Stonewald and back! They've trained all their lives for war, and have been battling ever since! You have no chance whatsoever!"
"A fine speech! But it will do you no good! In the name of the gracious queen I demand you to surrender! Or I declare you a Rebel and an Outlaw!"
"In the name of justice I demand you to surrender!"
"Bah! You and your "Justice" are the scourge of the land!"
"Likewise. Now, surrender unconditionally or suffer the consequences!"
"Never! You'll have to kill me before I surrender to you dogs!"
"Good! Now I shall have the distinct pleasure of destroying you utterly, you beslubbering beef-witted coxcomb!"
And with that, each went back to his force. The charge was sounded and the battle began!

Jesus arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mark 4: 39 (KJV)
The good are vulnerable
As any bird in flight,
They do not think of safety,
Are blind to possible extinction
And when most vulnerable
Are most themselves.
The good are real as the sun,
Are best perceived through clouds
Of casual corruption
That cannot kill the luminous sufficiency
That shines on city, sea and wilderness,
Fastidiously revealing
One man to another,
Who yet will not accept
Responsibilities of light.
The good incline to praise,
To have the knack of seeing that
The best is not destroyed
Although forever threatened.
The good go naked in all weathers,
And by their nakedness rebuke
The small protective sanities
That hide men from themselves.
The good are difficult to see
Though open, rare, destructible;
Always, they retain a kind of youth,
The vulnerable grace
Of any bird in flight,
Content to be itself,
Accomplished master and potential victim,
Accepting what the earth or sky intends.
I think that I know one or two
Among my friends.

A pillbox, a World War 2 fortification standing beside a river. It was built in 1940 in the expectation of an imminent invasion which thankfully never came. It reminds us of the days when the country pulled together, when careless talk cost lives, when people had to dig for victory, accept harsh rationing, when even minor complaint was met with the mild rebuke "There's a war on y'know" and when people sometimes had to look after the children of strangers who had been evacuated from the cities to escape bombing. To use a Churchillism, Great Britain KBO. And perhaps it stands as a reminder that our freedom to wander taking (more or less) whatever photos we like, once had to be defended.
The box uses the river as a natural barrier, as do others situated every few hundred metres along this part of its route. Its roof is not overgrown, it was deliberately planted with grass from the locality to provide camouflage from the air.
The photo was taken as early morning mist dissipated. It was converted to monochrome with a sepia tone, grain and a vignette added to create an appropriate aura of age.
This is a great lump of sandstone, formed about 135 million years ago when this part of the world was a swampy mess. This large rock is called the Chiding Stone, because (so they say) nagging wives and other wrong-doers were brought here and rebuked – or chided – by the massed villagers. An early form of trial by social media. Regrettably – no one knows whether it is true, or not.
Gloucester Cathedral, formally the Cathedral Church of St Peter and the Holy and Indivisible Trinity, in Gloucester, England, stands in the north of the city near the River Severn. It originated in 678 or 679 with the foundation of an abbey dedicated to Saint Peter (dissolved by King Henry VIII).
Wardle records that in 1058 Ealdred, Bishop of Worcester at the time, rebuilt the church of St Peter. The foundations of the present church were laid by Abbot Serlo (1072–1104). Walter Frocester (d. 1412) the abbey's historian, became its first mitred abbot in 1381. Until 1541, Gloucester lay in the see of Worcester, but the separate see was then constituted, with John Wakeman, last abbot of Tewkesbury, as its first bishop. The diocese covers the greater part of Gloucestershire, with small parts of Herefordshire and Wiltshire. The cathedral has a stained glass window containing the earliest images of golf. This dates from 1350, over 300 years earlier than the earliest image of golf from Scotland. There is also a carved image of people playing a ball game, believed by some to be one of the earliest images of medieval football.
The cathedral, built as the abbey church, consists of a Norman nucleus (Walter de Lacy is buried there), with additions in every style of Gothic architecture. It is 420 feet (130 m) long, and 144 feet (44 m) wide, with a fine central tower of the 15th century rising to the height of 225 ft (69 m) and topped by four delicate pinnacles, a famous landmark. The nave is massive Norman with an Early English roof; the crypt, under the choir, aisles and chapels, is Norman, as is the chapter house. The crypt is one of the four apsidal cathedral crypts in England, the others being at Worcester, Winchester and Canterbury.
The south porch is in the Perpendicular style, with a fan-vaulted roof, as also is the north transept, the south being transitional Decorated Gothic. The choir has Perpendicular tracery over Norman work, with an apsidal chapel on each side: the choir vaulting is particularly rich. The late Decorated east window is partly filled with surviving medieval stained glass. Between the apsidal chapels is a cross Lady chapel, and north of the nave are the cloisters, the carrels or stalls for the monks' study and writing lying to the south. The cloisters at Gloucester are the earliest surviving fan vaults, having been designed between 1351 and 1377 by Thomas de Canterbury.
The most notable monument is the canopied shrine of King Edward II of England who was murdered at nearby Berkeley Castle (illustration below). The building and sanctuary were enriched by the visits of pilgrims to this shrine. In a side-chapel is a monument in coloured bog oak of Robert Curthose, eldest son of William the Conqueror and a great benefactor of the abbey, who was interred there. Monuments of Bishop Warburton and Dr Edward Jenner are also worthy of note.
Between 1873 and 1890, and in 1897, the cathedral was extensively restored by George Gilbert Scott. In September 2016 Gloucester Cathedral joined the Church of England’s ‘Shrinking the Footprint’ campaign. The aim of this campaign is to reduce The Church of England’s carbon emissions collectively, by 80%. In order to help reach this target Gloucester Cathedral commissioned local solar company Mypower to install an array on the nave of Gloucester Cathedral. Purportedly the solar array will reduce Gloucester Cathedral’s energy costs by 25%. The installation was completed by November 2016. The 1000 year old Cathedral is now the oldest building in the world to have undergone a solar installation.

The current Hereford Cathedral, located at Hereford in England, dates from 1079. Its most famous treasure is Mappa Mundi, a mediaeval map of the world dating from the 13th century. The cathedral is a Grade I listed building.
The cathedral is dedicated to two patron saints, namely Saint Mary the Virgin and Saint Ethelbert the King. The latter was beheaded by Offa, King of Mercia in the year 792. Offa had consented to give his daughter to Ethelbert in marriage: why he changed his mind and deprived him of his head historians do not know, although tradition is at no loss to supply him with an adequate motive. The execution, or murder, is said to have taken place at Sutton, four miles (6 km) from Hereford, with Ethelbert's body brought to the site of the modern cathedral by 'a pious monk'. At Ethelbert's tomb miracles were said to have occurred, and in the next century (about 830) Milfrid, a Mercian nobleman, was so moved by the tales of these marvels as to rebuild in stone the little church which stood there, and to dedicate it to the sainted king.
Before this, Hereford had become the seat of a bishopric. It is said to have been the centre of a diocese as early as the 670s when Archbishop Theodore of Tarsus divided the Mercian diocese of Lichfield, founding Hereford for the Magonsæte and Worcester for the Hwicce. In the 7th century the cathedral was refounded by Putta, who settled here when driven from Rochester by Æthelred of Mercia. The cathedral of stone, which Milfrid raised, stood for some 200 years, and then, in the reign of Edward the Confessor, it was altered. The new church had only a short life, for it was plundered and burnt in 1056 by a combined force of Welsh and Irish under Gruffydd ap Llywelyn, the Welsh prince; it was not, however, destroyed until its custodians had offered vigorous resistance, in which seven of the canons were killed.
Hereford Cathedral remained in a state of ruin until Robert of Lorraine was consecrated to the see (made Bishop) in 1079 and undertook its reconstruction. His work was carried on, or, more probably, redone, by Bishop Reynelm, who was next but one in the succession, and reorganised the college of secular canons attached to the cathedral. Reynelm died in 1115, and it was only under his third successor, Robert de Betun, who was Bishop from 1131 to 1148, that the church was brought to completion.
Of this Norman church, little has survived but the choir up to the spring of the clerestory, the south transept, the arch between the north transept and the choir aisle, and the nave arcade. Scarcely 50 years after its completion William de Vere, who occupied the see from 1186 to 1199, altered the east end by constructing a retro-choir or processional path and a Lady Chapel; the latter was rebuilt not long afterwards—between the years 1226 and 1246, during the Early English style—with a crypt beneath. Around the middle of the century the clerestory, and probably the vaulting of the choir, were rebuilt, having been damaged by the settling of the central tower. Under Bishop Aquablanca (1240–68), one of Henry III's foreign favourites, the rebuilding of the north transept was begun, being completed later in the same century by Bishop Swinfield, who also built the aisles of the nave and eastern transept.
One of the most notable of the pre-reformation Bishops of Hereford, who left his mark upon the cathedral and the diocese, was Peter of Aigueblanche, also known as Bishop Aquablanca, who rebuilt the north transept. Aquablanca came to England in the train of Eleanor of Provence. He was undoubtedly a man of energy and resource; though he lavished money upon the cathedral and made a handsome bequest to the poor, it cannot be pretended that his qualifications for the office to which Henry III appointed him included piety. He was an unblushing nepotist, nor was he afraid to practise gross fraud when occasion called for it.[citation needed] When Prince Edward came to Hereford to deal with Llywelyn the Great of Gwynedd, the Bishop was away in Ireland on a tithe-collecting expedition, and the dean and canons were also absent. Not long after the Bishop's return, which was probably expedited by the stern rebuke which the King administered, he and all his relatives from Savoy were seized within the cathedral by a party of barons, who deprived him of the money which he had extorted from the Irish.
In the first half of the 14th century the rebuilding of the central tower, which is embellished with ball-flower ornaments, was carried out. At about the same time the chapter house and its vestibule were built, then Bishop Trevenant, who presided over the Bishopric from 1389 to 1404, rebuilt the south end and groining of the great transept. Around the middle of the 15th century a tower was added to the western end of the nave, and in the second half of this century Bishops Stanbury and Edmund Audley built three chantries, the former on the north side of the presbytery, the latter on the south side of the Lady Chapel. Bishops Richard Mayew and Booth, who between them ruled the diocese from 1504 to 1535, made the last additions to the cathedral by erecting the north porch, now forming the principal northern entrance. The building of the present edifice therefore extended over a period of 440 years.
Thomas de Cantilupe was the next but one bishop of Hereford after Aquablanca. He had faults not uncommon in men who held high ecclesiastical office in his day, however he was a strenuous administrator of his see, and an unbending champion of its rights. For assaulting some of the episcopal tenants and raiding their cattle, Lord Clifford was condemned to walk barefoot through the cathedral to the high altar, and the bishop himself applied the rod to his back. Bishop Cantilupe also wrung from the Welsh King Llewellyn some manors which he had seized, and Cantilupe, after a successful lawsuit against the Earl of Gloucester to determine the possession of a chase near the Forest of Malvern, dug the dyke which can still be traced on the crest of the Malvern Hills. Excommunicated by Archbishop of Canterbury John Peckham, he went to the papal court in Orvieto to plead his case with the pope. He moved with the court to Montefiascone where, already ill, he died in 1282 before his case was fully resolved. His flesh was buried in the monastery of San Severo outside Orvieto and his heart and bones were brought back to England. His bones were placed in a shrine at Hereford Cathedral where they became a focus of a huge pilgrimage cult. Rome was urged to canonise him, and among the evidences of his saintliness which his admirers appealed to, in addition to the miracles of healing wrought at his shrine, were the facts that he never ceased to wear his hair-shirt, and would never allow even his sister to kiss him. The testimony was regarded as conclusive, and 40 years after his death, in 1320, the bishop's name was added to the roll of saints. His arms were adopted for those of the see.
