A brief description of this photo:
A while ago, someone who shall remain nameless, had put out a photo with a catchy description, inviting participation. That said, I took part in said event only to suffer multiple injuries, the only one of which that I made known was the damage done to my hand by their apparatus. With that said, I was kindly rebuked in my mentioning of my injured hand. Then...in another encounter with said individual, I was told to send them my medical bill...well, since they offered. I took them up on it and on my way to mailing my bill to them, since it was tax season and they could afford my medical BILLS...ahem. I went to my mailbox to submit my envelope and tripped over another ill kept SL sidewalk, thus causing me to lose my balance and my crutch and in doing so, my envelope was taken away by a strong wind... a suspicious wind, mind you but nonetheless..my envelope was lost as well as my medical BILLS, that they were going to pay. The only proof of this, is one of the many CCTV that SL has in our cities.
If the person who is responsible for my broken hand sees this, my bill is forthcoming either by SL Postal Carrier or a strong Windlight wind!!!!
Now I'm off to pop some Oxy, as all this typing aggravated my hands, both good and broken!!!!
PS If anything is misspelled or is seen as an incomplete thought... I was in extreme pain typing this and reliving the whole experience.

I had to suffer for my art with this shot as I had to wade in chest high in the water to shoot it. The park ranger came down to give me a mild rebuke, reminding me that the water was for the wildlife.We had a laugh about it as the ranger has seen me in some funny places trying to get an image. A view from a visit to the beach at Horsey Gap last week. The couple on the right had been mating when the chap on the left moved in to join the action. As can be seen he was well and truly rebuked.
On a couple of occasions during our recent trip to Norfolk we came across great numbers of Grey Seals on the beaches. Horsey Gap and Winterton on Sea were the two locations. This surprised me as I had always believed that the grey seal populations returned to the sea in January after the breeding season. In both locations there must have been a good couple of hundred.

In the soft early morning light NER Alco YDM-4 unit 6441 arrives at Pilibhit with the 6.45am Tanakpur - Izatnagar (train 52204).
While this part of Uttar Pradesh lies very much on the plains, the area is deceptively close to the border with Nepal. In fact Tanakpur, some 40 miles north in the state of Uttarakhand, sits on the edge of the Sarda River, the far bank of which marks the Nepalese border. At this time of year though from these parts you'd almost never realise - the smog and dust in the atmosphere all but obscures the view of the distant mountains.
I took this shot from the East Signal Box after we were kindly allowed up there to view the place. An image that didn't make the cut at the time (mainly because of an abundance of material!) but which passes the QC test - I especially like the way the cyclist fortuitously balances the image. There's a lot to see with folk going about their daily business, cattle grazing on the pasture in the distance, and the eagles (I counted nine of them) riding the thermals overhead as the morning heat picks up in earnest.
The level crossing extends behind me by about the same distance, and runs over the lines to Mailani and Shahjahanpur - all metre-gauge at the time. The MG complex at Pilibhit is now partly (or perhaps even fully) converted to broad-gauge and the line to Tanakpur started operating BG services from February 2018.
The presence of motor cycles or cyclists on the 'wrong' side of the barriers wasn't unusual and the authorities generally turned a blind eye to it. Trying to do same with a car though would almost certainly earn a swift rebuke. All part of the generally relaxed charm of the MG network.

This picture was shot with the worst camera I have ever used. The store was out of coloured film, so I bought a Fujifilm disposable camera. I thought the pictures would have a soft focus, but instead they were all out of focus. Every single picture! I think I have countered this conundrum as best I could. Of course I had to chuck a bunch of the shots. Yuck!

These slender, yellow-capped and chestnut-flanked songsters thrive in young, regrowing forests, thickets, and other disturbed areas. The RAF target range at Donna Nook in Lincolnshire ceases to be used for a few months in the autumn and early winter. The reason for this is the annual arrival of several thousand Grey Seals. The cows start to arrive first, from late October where they then give birth. During this period the Bulls then arrive and attempt to mate with the new mothers.
Here a young bull is seen trying his look with a cow, but on this occasion after a snarly exchange and a little biting he retreated.
The gathering is huge and represents about 4% of the world grey seal population. In all up to 5,000 Grey Seals will occupy this beach. Come January the beaches will empty again and the RAF will soon resume its offshore target practice.

JCB excavators are so well known (in the UK at least) that just about any brand of mechanical digger is often referred to as a JCB. In fact, "JCB" appears in the Oxford English Dictionary, denoting any backhoe/endloader combination, or similar machinery.
But, what do the letters JCB stand for? Given the festive lights added by this dealership, maybe it should be something like "Jesus Christ is Born". In fact, JCB are the initials of the company's founder - Joseph Cyril Bamford. He built his first vehicle in Uttoxeter, England in 1945 using surplus war materials.
This reminds me of what will happen when Jesus Christ returns to this world - not as a humble babe in a manger, but as Judge and King:

These rocks are described as 'Glacial Erratics' and were dragged here during the last Ice Age. Indigenous people's lore claims that a spirit named "Hayls", which means 'harpoon' came across two men harpooning seals. One of the harpooners rebuked Hayles and his two companions Raven and Mink for frightening the seals away. Hayles then turned him into stone, standing poised to throw his harpoon and made him the "boss of the seals".

The Aoös river springs are located in Epirus, Greece, at an altitude (elevation) of 4,430 ft (1,350 m), where a reservoir was made. The Aoös river (aka Aōos) is 169 miles long (272 km). Here’s another from the archives from a Tanzania trip with Todd Gustafson. Lion mating is a long term “affair” which goes on for days on end. I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to witness this behavior on almost every African trip. During the mating process, the lions don’t hunt or eat and are solely concerned with producing offspring. The expression on their faces says it all, it does not look pleasurable. Yet it seems always the female that initiates he coupling. If the male attempts to get frisky, he will be sternly rebuked. When the lioness is ready, she will make it know by her body language and may rub-up against the male who is always willing to accommodate. The first time I experienced lions mating I was on safari with my wife Nancy. For reasons I can’t remember, our vehicle could not be started and we were stuck right next to the mating lions. The lions weren’t going anywhere and neither were we. Nancy had to go to the bathroom and asked our driver if she could get out on the other side of the van away from the lions to relieve herself. “They will kill you” came his immediate reply. Fortunately, many other vehicles came by and formed a line of cars between our vehicle and the lions. Quickly, one driver tied a rope to the front of our vehicle and pulled it far enough away for them to repair the problem. Lifetime memories! According to the Hebrew Bible, Micah, also known as Micheas, was a prophet in the Bible and is the author of the Book of Micah. He is considered one of the Twelve Minor Prophets of the Hebrew Bible and was a contemporary of the prophets Isaiah, Amos and Hosea. Micah was from Moresheth-Gath, in southwest Judah. He prophesied during the reigns of kings Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah of Judah.
Micah's messages were directed chiefly toward Jerusalem. He prophesied the future destruction of Jerusalem and Samaria, the destruction and then future restoration of the Judean state, and he rebuked the people of Judah for dishonesty and idolatry.

April 23rd is St George's Day in England. However, posting a picture of the flag of St George might incur the sneering metropolitan rebuke of a politician of a mainline party so instead why not another symbol of England?
It is also of the anniversary of the birth, and indeed the death of William Shakespeare. The history of his life is rather hazy so I hope the poor chap did not pass away on his birthday.

Immanuel or Emmanuel is a Hebrew name that appears in the Book of Isaiah (7:14) as a sign that God will protect the House of David.
The Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 1:22–23) interprets this as a prophecy of the birth of the Messiah and the fulfillment of Scripture in the person of Jesus. Immanuel "God (apostle) with us" is one of the "symbolic names" used by Isaiah.

Ezra is the main character of the Book of Ezra. According to the Hebrew Bible, he was an important Jewish scribe (sofer) and priest (kohen) in the early Second Temple period.
In the Hebrew Bible, or the Christian Old Testament, Ezra is an important figure in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, which he is traditionally held to have written and edited, respectively. According to tradition, Ezra was also the author of the Books of Chronicles and the Book of Malachi.
He is also venerated as a saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church, which sets his feast day on the Sunday of the Holy Forefathers.
When Ezra discovered that Jewish men had been marrying foreign pagan women, he tore his garments in despair and confessed the sins of Israel before God, then braved the opposition of some of his countrymen to purify the community by enforcing the dissolution of the sinful marriages. He was described as exhorting the Israelite people to be sure to follow the Torah Law so as not to intermarry with people of foreign blood, a set of commandments described in the Torah.
According to the Hebrew Bible, Micah, also known as Micheas, was a prophet in the Bible and is the author of the Book of Micah. He is considered one of the Twelve Minor Prophets of the Hebrew Bible and was a contemporary of the prophets Isaiah, Amos and Hosea. Micah was from Moresheth-Gath, in southwest Judah. He prophesied during the reigns of kings Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah of Judah.
Micah's messages were directed chiefly toward Jerusalem. He prophesied the future destruction of Jerusalem and Samaria, the destruction and then future restoration of the Judean state, and he rebuked the people of Judah for dishonesty and idolatry.
