Do you ever visit the other resorts when you visit?

This one night I was walking with some friends around Yacht and Beach after getting some ice cream and had some time before I had to get home. So I decided to look for new areas to photograph. I stepped into the Conference building between the two resorts and was taken aback by the colors and how that normal guests that come to the parks never see this. I doubt many of the guests of the resorts even see this. Those that have had some sort of conference here have been fortunate enough, but that limits the numbers that have stepped foot here. I love this place. I have a series of photos that I had to get and will be posting them all in time.

I been away for a few days, i know

Guess why. My computer crashed. And it took me a while to find out what was wrong with it.

It still not ok, but somehow i got it to work. So im desperate here, backing up everything i have on my hard drive, just in case.

But its not fun when you have to back up 80gb of stuff. Specially when all this stuff is spread in random folders in your hard drive. Go me!

Oh well!

Im super tired and sleepy so its time for Raffy here to go to bed and get some well deserved relax.

-Added one layer mask of "curves" to increase the contrast.

-Added one layer mask of "hue/saturation" to decrease the color saturation (overall).

-Sharpened using high pass sharpening (A-HAAAAAAAAA!)

OK, I know selective color is totally passe. I liked the B&W version. I did. Really. I missed the color though, so I tried to be subtle, and I pasted in one layer of select color range. Yeah, it's HDR and bled-ifs, and selective pastes as well...

I hope it's enjoyable anyway.

Yep, I'm back to the barns too, there are after all, a lot of them around here to photograph - The best part is that I can probably revisit them in the early summer and get brand new, completely different images.

Taken with the trusty 28-135... I keep meaning the exploit the zoom, but I'm too conditioned to wide angle zooms and a normal prime.

Have you been to the new Harambe Theatre?

One of the places I go every time I come to Animal Kingdom is the Harambe Theatre to see the Festival of the Lion King. I love this show and it makes me feel so good after. Paradise at Mt Rainier HDR by David Irons Jr

I trudged up the mountain through the snow to the highest ridge that I could get to safely. I gained about 800 feet in elevation and just beyond this snowfield is the Nisqually ridge. You are looking at the Nisqually Glacier and if you look closely, you can see a cascading waterfall. The clouds started to roll in from the west and you could hear the thunder but not see the lightning. Dang it! That would have made for a great picture! Got back to the lodge just before the storm moved in.
