Ross Park Carousel is a historic carousel located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The carousel is housed in a wooden, one story, 16-sided, pavilion topped by an eight sided cupola. The carousel has 60 horses standing four abreast, each of which is a "jumper," and two chariots. It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company and contains its original Wurlitzer Military Band Organ. The carousel was purchased about 1920 and is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), president of Endicott Johnson Corporation.

HDR of something that just caught my eye , think the HDR processing has brought out the reflections in the water more :)

Done with SNS-HDR-Pro

Managed a few tweaks in Photoshop.

Would have come out better had I been able to save .HDR or TIFF for edits.

Day 5 of summer road trip to Yellowstone National Park.

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is amazing. It contains two waterfalls on the Yellowstone River plus countless others along the sides. The multi-colored rocks result from effects of thermal activity on the rock.

Hear It..

At one time this part of long island (nassau county) was farmland. In the late 60's & 70's, when i was a kid, there were still a few around.

Now they're all but gone. This one held on the longest but about a year ago it closed as well.. Now its just a weedy landmark.

Day 3 of summer road trip west to Yellowstone National Park.

The only bad weather we encountered during the entire trip was between Rapid City, South Dakota and Devil's Tower Wyoming. It made for some dramatic scenes at Devil's Tower but also a short stop there

Which Resort do you like to stay at?

I am finally making my rounds to the resorts at Walt Disney World. Most people think the parks are the only thing to see when they come to visit here, but that's not true at all. Almost more detail has been given to the resorts you stay in than to the attractions in any of the parks. For example the Fort Wilderness Lodge here. This section in the back of the lobby area is patterned after the areas found in...

HDR from 3 shots with a -/+2EV using Photomatix. The sky was masked in using a seperate HDR, with the goal of specifically getting the sky right. The sky was also processed through noiseware pro. The foreground received a slight contrast adjustment in PS.

All HDR's must be Viewed On Black Large!

LoL how the hell did 4 people already view it and it JUST hit 100% uploaded!

Anywho. This lovely little structure used to be hidden behind a few rows of trees and brush. But as you can plainly see, the trees are now gone. Apparently a logging company came in, cleared out a large area of pine trees of which seemed to look like they were planted and raised for that specific reason. They were all neatly lined up in rows and were all the same size. Just beyond them are younger trees.

Anyway this HDR was created using 3 exposures at -/+2EV using Photomatix 3.2.7.

The sky was originally a bit, ok it was really noisy, so I dup'd the layer, ran noiseware pro to reduce the noise in the sky, and then masked out the foreground. Also had to do a little touchup on an area of sky to fix some really crappy effect that I didn't like. Also masked backed in the original sky just at about 30% opacity to give it more detail. Finally the foreground received a treatment from Sharpener Pro.

What restaurant is a must experience?

Whenever I take the "Which Disney Character Are You?" tests, I always end up as Lumiere, the fun-loving entertainer and all around service-oriented guy. It's true I love to serve and fun is a driving force in my life. If it's not fun, I'm not interested. The song "Be Our Guest" is almost my anthem. I love to make people feel welcome and I will do practically anything for someone else. If there is a person in need...

What do you love the most about Cinderella Castle?

The other morning I walked into the Magic Kingdom before guests were allowed to enter the gates and stood behind the castle waiting for the sun to rise. It was an amazing feeling to be standing here in the quiet of the morning. I set up my tripod and actually sat there for almost an hour waiting for the sun to climb high enough to touch the spires. I actually opted for this shot of pre-sunrise because of the colors . I love how the...

I'm now in LOVE with landscapes... floewrs seem such a long way away. .LOL can't even seem to spell them!

At this point, I'm too tired physically, with my eyes crying out for some rest... so, again, I'm gonna be greedy and say, I'll come around..later..

In my attempt to make Disney World Glow, I give you this... Rockin' Rollercoaster Glowing! I love this ride. Especially since this is the only ride in all of Walt Disney World that will send you upside down. "I like that idea!" I'm all for the exciting and adventurous rides. I do like me some classic dark rides, but when I need to get some thrill on, Hollywood Studios houses two of the best. I'm getting to love that park more and more. I am sad to see so many things go away before we get the new things like.... blog.digitalelegance.com/glowing-rockin-guitar/
