really trying to develop a very Carl Liu-esque style (Carl is probably my favorite product design illustrator)
rough light pencil traced loosely with ink and then erased, scanned and rendered in photoshop. this one took about an hour collectively, but i'd like to get really fast at it. like maybe a page full of these in an hour. (unlikely)

Really Lombard Street in San Francisco. Eight near 90 degree corners await you after you've scared yourself witless trying not to roll backwards on the very steep hill up to it. Thankfully I drove down at night, so it wasn't busy at all. That's another lifetime ambition I can tick off the list :-)
We took the second picture just seconds later, and at first i thought the really bight circle could have been the flash reflection from something shiny, but after comparing these two pictures, taken seconds apart...i knew it was an orb.
Which is really more of a dark teal color (more green than this) - but I think I like it.

I wanted a photo of myself that expressed the one emotion I feel most. it took me a few moments to set up the camera (nikon D40 with a home modified pentax lens) and the backdrop (black bedsheet) and lighting (two incandescent lamps on both sides of me on the floor)
All I could think of was how current events (foreign wars, economy, government encroachment) and how every day I see things that make me doubt my fellow man.

Welcome back old friend, I haven't seen you since you were on clearance back in Fall 2010. I had no idea that the very popular Rochefort 10 from Belgium would ever make a return to Manitoba, because frankly.. it just didn't sell. Now days, Belgian beers do much better than Manitoba than they previously did, just going to the local liquormart, Unibroue beers sell quickly.
When I first tried Rochefort 10 in 2010, It was $2.65, very affordable. This time, it's now $4.58 before tax - pricey but worth it for a solid Belgian beer, and still cheaper than you can find it in my stomping grounds in North Dakota.
Appearance: Pours a muddy brown, incredibly muddy. Good amount of carbonation, to the point that the head diminishes immediately to the point that there's only a hint of head around the rim of the glass.
Aroma: Dark fruits, grape, incredibly strong and a bit reminiscent to Trois Pistoles - sweet, in your face and not for the weak-paleted drinkers. Quite an alcoholy aroma as well, but hey.. what do you expect when the ABV is 11.3%!
Taste: Really in-your-face, even much more than the standard Unibroue beers, there's the obvious alcohol taste that slams your tongue against the roof of your mouth immediately, as well as a great deal of dark fruit. Quite sweet, powerful and in ways has a bit of a similar profile to a barley wine - that sweetness that immediately hits your tongue, that. A bit of prunes, there's a great deal of bitterness that lingers around after the sweetness diminishes. Oh hey.. I can actually feel myself getting buzzed as I review this, and I just started sipping on it, and you know that tingling feeling you get in your stomach as soon as you take a sip of a beer, I'm really getting that during every sip.
Overall Thoughts: Warning - I'm getting buzzed incredibly quickly and I've only had 3 sips so far, so if you have plans to do (or need to operate heavy machinery) - don't drink this until you have several hours of free time. Quite an incredibly strong tasting Belgian dark ale. While every time I mention this beer, friends always go "well, Rochefort 8 is much better", I don't care, this is actually a damned tasty beer, the closest beer I can compare it to is Unibroue's Trois Pistoles, which I said in my previous review as well but Trois Pistoles is quite mellow compared to this. You want a Belgian ale with in your face taste and aroma? This is your beer!

I'm not really a big Halloween person but I thought it would be fun to be somewhat festive and do a mini photo-story....and then I lost the will to edit ^^;

I found this tiny pumpkin at Donquixote yesterday and bought it for my pumpkin-loving co-worker
It would have been a waste to not take some doll pictures before I gave it to her so I did just that!
The girl with the bear is Nadeko. She is a VOLKS Standard SDG Megu (2010 renewal version) and everything on her is default other than her wig with is a L-093 in NaturalBlack from Leekeworld.
Her shoes are LeekeWorld LS-256_G in Black and her outfit is made up of a custom dress by Kastalia and socks (July 2016 Collection - Thigh-high socks White Knit) and cardigan (September 2015 Outfit Collection - SD cardigan Black/Lace) by VOLKS.
The girl with the brown hair is Hitagi. She is a VOLKS FCS F-01 in Sunlight. Her wig is W-170D (Straight Bob) in M33/12 Rich Brown, her eyes are 20mm Zoukeimura glass in Kouhaku and she is on the B-09 Suwarikko body with heel feet and A-03 double-jointed arms.
Her outfit is from rRabit; Cute Round Neckline Sweater coat cardigan (MSK020 007) and Sailor one piece dress - Coal (KC040), and her socks are the VOLKS Thigh-high socks Charcoal Gray Knit from the September 2016 Outfit Collection.

I have finally consider that it's time to change things, I need to work on myself.
I want to be better than I am, and I need to go in action.
Only thing I can do is '' love myself '', I need to get my confident back, even if it can be hard. I need to love myself again.
Tomorrow after school, I will head down to the local library, find a book. '' and read it '', It's time, I need to read, I need to learn. I will also start with my theoretic license.
I WANT TO LEARN, I WANT TO BE GOOD AT SOMETHING !
and I also need support.
