based Yellowknife (NWT)

The CC-138 Twin Otter is used in transport and support roles in northern operations as well as search and rescue missions. It is highly adaptable and well suited to Canada’s ever-changing northern climate and terrain.

The golden light was ideal for capturing this RCAF trainer.

Awaiting the visitors for "Air Force 100" on July 6/7th., 2024

Transports of the Royal Canadian Air Force were regular at Gatwick, operating into Europe as well as to North America,

I recall seeing Dakotas, Bristol170, Hercules and Canadair Yukons as well as these Boeings. Also I once saw a DHC Caribou flying over not far from Guildford. They had some Convair Liners too, but I never saw one.

They replaced the Yukons (a Bristol Britannia derivative) with five Boeing 707s which were originally ordered by the US carrier Western Airlines. This one is 13701.

This is the only airworthy Blenheim Fighter Bomber in the world, This airframe is from Canadian-built Bolingbroke IV RCAF 10201, but in 2003 was involved in a landing accident, it was decided to rebuild the aircraft to Mk1 as a British-built Blenheim which the RAF would have used, Blenheim’s were both used by Bomber and Fighter Commands during World War II
