It's nice when I can't find a bird to shoot if one of our aircraft is in the vicinity.................

This F18 Hornet is coming in for a landing at CFB Trenton.
The McDonnell Douglas CF-18 Hornet is a Royal Canadian Air Force variant of the American McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet fighter aircraft.
I had the opportunity last weekend of watching a performance of the Snowbirds, which is the Royal Canadian Air Force's aerobatic demonstration team. It was an interesting experience trying to capture objects that move so much faster than most of my regular subjects.
There were two of these CF18s taking off today from CFB Trenton. I missed the first one (yes, they are fast!!), but got this shot of the second one.

Yes, another one!
I am very happy with the support I have received for my military aircraft photos. Thank you!
These venerable Hercules have a wonderful sound, and when they fly close to the ground (such as this, coming in for a landing), the wind turbulence is something else!
Thanks for looking, etc.:)
I haven't had much opportunity to shoot birds-in-flight with my 150-600mm lens. I did get this bigger bird yesterday, though!
It's one of our (Canada's) RCAF Hercules on a regular training flight.

At the BC Aviation Museum at Victoria's Airport. I believe the restoration by the dedicated volunteers is complete. She looks great. This particular aircraft was produced in 1962 and based at RCAF Cold Lake, Alberta. It was removed from service in 1983 and was donated to the museum in 2023. The iconic Starfighter was the first aircraft to simultaneously hold world records for speed, altitude, and time-to-climb. A beautiful aircraft and so pleasing to the eyes.
