Ray House - A Confederate field hospital during the battle. Union General Nathaniel Lyon's body was brought here at the fighting's end.
On August 10th 1861, Union and Confederate forces fought fiercely for control over Bloody Hill in which the Southerners eventually won. The Battle of Wilson's Creek opened the Civil War in Missouri, which would end up being ranked the third most fought over state in the nation.

I had to zoom in on this one quite a bit, so it's not really sharp and the colors are muted, but it's the best picture I was able to get. These rays are very pretty with their leopard spot pattern covering their entire back and part of their tail.

Raymond Mantilla (born June 22, 1934) is an American jazz drummer. He has played as a session musician and toured with some of the most significant jazz musicians of his time. Mantilla has been a bandleader of his own ensembles and was a founding member of the percussion ensemble M'Boom with Max Roach.

Drew, Andrea, Ray, Karen, and I played a round of Jenga. If I remember correctly we made it to 28 levels high before it toppled.
The secret of shooting good concert shots still eludes me,i think you have to be close by,i was a good 200meters back,dodge direct spot lights,i had one pointing straight at me,and the whole gig was lit in either red or blue,not good for definition hence most shots were transferred to B&W.

I'm not certain what causes these bands of colors. This was just a few minutes after sunset.

Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center recently performed their regular checkup exams on the Eagle Rays. Everyone passed with flying colors!
