Our family always passed Ray-All Garage on Court St., on the way to church on Sunday morning. I was always intrigued by the ramp to get to the upper floor, where presumably more work was done. (A two-story garage!!)
It's closed now, but in the bottom-left corner, you can see part of Kettering, past the vast brownfield which used to be the factory known as Chevy-In-The-Hole.
Ray King made a brief appearance in relief of Jason Simontacchi tonight as the Nats lost to the Orioles in a thrilling 5-4 game.
A few years back, I did some work with Ray working with a system that would read what was on screen so he could change the instruments he was recording. I'm not sure he ever took to working with a computer, but given that he couldn't see and that he never worked with them before, I'm not surprised.

Josephine Kaiser's miniture-pin-up-sculptures and her erotic paper cut silhouettes excist between dream and reality, combine innocence and seduction. The artist works with colored tinker knead: Every figure is an inlay work.
Ray Moore's prestine appearing works express his gestural and immediate mode of working. Ray's imaginative and particular figures reflect urban life and his musical heritage from the Mississippi, USA.

Pianist Ray Ushikubo, 9, from Riverside, CA, performs Grand Valse Brilliante, Op. 18, by Frederic Chopin.
At the end of the 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Cynthia and Dennis, Ray expresses a simple moment of kindness with a somewhat tired Nancy.
So this is Ray
I met him today out on the streets of K Town. Amazing who will chat to you when you carry around a talking point. And what a nice guy he is.
Ray was a Staff Photog with a big Melbourne newspaper for 20 years - still owns a few cameras very good pedigrees I might ad. Nikon, Bessa, Hasselblad yada, yada. These days he is into collecting antiques and he showed me a set of Greek silver spoons that he had just come by. Apparently they were taken from a German Officer by allies during the war. He also had two mourning brooches and whilst not my cup of tea, were exquisitely fashioned pieces.
We swapped numbers, so we could catch up again and swap stories.
