Our family always passed Ray-All Garage on Court St., on the way to church on Sunday morning. I was always intrigued by the ramp to get to the upper floor, where presumably more work was done. (A two-story garage!!)
It's closed now, but in the bottom-left corner, you can see part of Kettering, past the vast brownfield which used to be the factory known as Chevy-In-The-Hole.
Ray King made a brief appearance in relief of Jason Simontacchi tonight as the Nats lost to the Orioles in a thrilling 5-4 game.
A few years back, I did some work with Ray working with a system that would read what was on screen so he could change the instruments he was recording. I'm not sure he ever took to working with a computer, but given that he couldn't see and that he never worked with them before, I'm not surprised.

Ironic and impossible blue sun rays. How can it be? But.. the sun is yellow! OH, NO. NO NO NO IT'S BLUE! Who ever said I wasn't artsy? That part's not done yet, we just stood it up to measure.

Josephine Kaiser's miniture-pin-up-sculptures and her erotic paper cut silhouettes excist between dream and reality, combine innocence and seduction. The artist works with colored tinker knead: Every figure is an inlay work.
Ray Moores ursprünglich anmutende Arbeiten drücken sich durch eine gestische und sehr unmittelbare Arbeitsweise aus. Ray's fantasievolle und eigentümliche Figuren reflektieren ein urbanes Leben und seine musikalischen Wurzeln aus seiner Heimat dem Mississippi, USA.

This piece was painted for the touring museum exhibit called "Population." It has currently traveled to
eight museums in the United States. The artist will paint a commissioned portrait for the winning bidder,
in the same size as displayed.

The two different colors of the rays of sun were really cool. This shot will probably look a little too dark on Flickr, but thats because I increased the contrast by about 60% to emphasize the rays.
