omg, I think I committed a crime... how else could I get this shot if my hand was over my heart??? Obama, I'm not following you, but I'm not knocking ya for *breaking the law* as it is in some people's eyes. (It's not a law!!!) ok, so I got one of those emails where you're supposed to get all hot and mad and pissed and want to shoot someone cos they didn't do what *you* think he should be doing... geez. Don't send me that crap. It doesn't piss me off. I mean I do get hot, but only because you don't know me well enough to NOT send me that crap...
whew... sorry for the rant.
... Can you believe University Of The Arts has somehow lost their one and only copy of the original edition of Die Neue Typographie? Leaving only these hideous reprints from '87? It's a bit of a bummer, y'know, cause I'm writing an essay on the book – not merely on the text itself but on the book (the version designed by Tschichold) as a designed artefact. Oh well. My trek to Chelsea was not in vain as I ended up going for coffee with a friend I'd not seen in a while.
Heard just a minute ago that all checks have been passed and now it's all systems go!!!

*update 2 Aug 07* should have said all systems wait... I might burst if I don't get another look soon! fingers crossed for the weekend. I can't concentrate on anything else! hopeless, eh? ;-)

I hate my parents tonight. Grrr. Bottom line, I'm grounded. I have been for the past 9 months. Why am i grounded when im apparently of age? I believe in practicality. I don't think just running away would solve anything so blah, and my dad is absolutely crazy. Crazy Asian parents. Yes I did something wrong, but I didn't think it'd go for this long, seriously. The weather is getting colder lately and i've asked them if I can sleep in my room since I have a heated mattress. They say no, and yes I've been sleeping on the couch for the past freaking 9 months. They can't leave me alone at ALL.
All I do is classes, their store, home. I never have time alone, I never see my friends anymore, and they're completely mistrusting me ever since and I'm sick of it, I promise I will never do that again, if you'd just shut up and let me be. Before I got grounded, I was free until eleven at night, and I thought THAT was tough. Now WTF is this? In 3 months it'll be an year, and I might just blow up if they keep this ridiculous shrade up. I am so so so sick of it!!!
