It is confirmed that me and Dr.orange are hosting a contest at the Lego contest network and it's being sponsored by brickwarriors. Look for that in the near future. I have a few tanks in production, some made from brickmania (don't be hatin') and some designed by me. They include a stug3, m4a1 sherman, panzer III, Priest motorized carriage and many more.

expect a MOC with teh stug 3 in the next couple days or weeks.

#3 rant

Im lazy and won't write anymore, cheers

I apologize in advance for my rant and dingy phone pictures. I'm sleep deprived, tired and extra cranky.

I'd say I'm a quite unique creature as I am an exception of what the world expects of a girl. I don't like pink, or make up or pretty little things or weddings.

I know, I know... I'm planning a wedding of my own. Believe me this is more in honor of our families (whom I adore) than my personal dream. I dislike the whole wed business; dresses, planning, colors, flowers, who to invite and lots, I mean LOTS of wasted time and money.

But what the hay we are on this Earth to celebrate life with friends and this pesky milestone is one of them times.

So we left Friday evening to our friend's wedding. It was a lovely bumpy flight circling nasty looking storms and hours of scrabble and word find games played due to the usual delays.

At this point I'm totally OK with it. It's the nature of the game. So our arrival had minor wrinkles and we made to our final destination around 1am. Not bad since I wasn't getting up before 8am.

Then I had few hours of joy. Going out with my extended family, seeing old friends. Lovely. Later that evening we had duties to fulfill as happy guests so off we went.

The ceremony was, well, boring as all other ceremonies are. The people were stuffy but the wine and music were divine.

Now the only thing left was to go back home. Our flight left in the morning so we should have plenty of time to rest before starting a new week.

As you can see in the pictures hurricane Kyle flushed our plans down the toilet. Our connecting flight was canceled and we were stuck for almost 10 hours in the airport.

After threatening mutiny we got a flight that brought us to an airport about 2 hours away instead of our original destination. We gathered a few strangers that had their cars in the other airport as well, rented a van and drove for 2 hours or so only to find our car with a drained battery.

At this point my night already seemed endless so it couldn't get any worse. I fetched an airport employee that gladly gave us a jump start. Finally the final leg of our ill fated trip. Only another half hour. But of course, the damn night wasn't over.

Five minutes, literally FIVE darn minutes from home the car starts acting up and simply dies in the middle of the freaking road. We were lucky enough to get the car kinda working and made it to our driveway.

I've never been more relieved to be home. Now it was just take the dog out of her crate for a quick pee and off to bed.

My super nice dog sitter had left inside her crate a bowl with water and a bowl with food. So when I take the Beagle out I see plastic bits all over the crate but it was just too late and I was just too tired and pissed to deal with that. I ignored it until this morning.

In a closer inspection I've found broken teeth with the bloody plastic bits.

Those brought me to what I am doing at the moment. Sitting at the Vet's office, waiting to be fit between patients. With a bloody Beagle beside me. My weekend was just great!

First the photo. I took this through the window of the Garmin store on Michigan Avenue. I was going to enter, but strangely it had closed before 8. Nice dof and colors, but not much else. So why post?

I need to rant some. These nav units are so much cheaper than before. I first researched and shopped these about 1.5 years ago. I was helping somebody (or at least trying to convince them to get a nav unit). She was not friends with maps at all; she refused to even contemplate trying to understand them. However, she was convinced she had found salvation in Mapquest. Whenever she'd go somewhere she'd diligently print out Mapquest directions.

Sometimes it worked, but mostly it didn't. Why? She never looked at the map. She never understood the directions. She never knew how to recover if she missed a turn (as most of us do at some point while following directions)...and then she'd call me to work as an Onstar advisor. Nothing wrong with that, but she really needed to buy a Navigation system. However, they were pricey. Especially the small, modern ones were a lot of money. So she didn't.

Today these same units are much more advanced and so much cheaper. I'd say even the cutting edge units are half the price they used to be and twice as good. Incredible. Got to love competition. So I was tempted and got one - incidentally the same one I took a picture of last week.

It had glowing reviews and people claimed it did a very good job. Of course I had to try it and set about trying to confuse it close to my house. It took only one hour to uncover lots of minor issues, but overall this is an impressive piece of work. What happened?

1. I head to Blockbuster and consistently try to take different routes. The unit recalculates swiftly every time. It is insisting that I get on what it called 'Country Road S'. Since I know the area, I know this must be 'Mineral Point road'. Nobody has called Mineral Point, that for decades. Small problem, but annoying.

2. Worse, I head my normal way to Blockbuster despite the unit insisting on alternate route at every turn. Finally I go through the mall. Suddenly the unit tells me to go left. However, left was heading over a curb and in the general entrance of Cub Foods. Not good. It does not seem to understand that the road through the mall exists.

3. I head home and try to confuse it on some small roads close to my house. On some newer ones it has me navigating through black space. Aparently these roads are not on the map yet. It gives me and stays quite until I enter familiar roads again. Although, the saleperson talked about recently updated maps, these roads did not exist. I know they were here last year, but I do admit they are recent and small. Still I was expecting them to be in the updated unit.

4. The unit has lots of languages (about 30). Nice. I try Australian English, British...no problems. Then I try Norwegian. Then Spanish. The problems start when the spanish and Norwegian speakers try to pronouce American street names. Needless to say they butcher them (fortunately you can turn the street names off) - imagine somebody Spanish trying to say 'S High Point Rd'. Worse, these voices are computers that read stuff. It is all automatic. These computers are programmed to be smart so they interpret abbreviations.

Guess how it says 'Dr'? Doctor of course. Well, Dr is Drive when it comes to maps, however, the unit is instructing you to go right on Yellowstone Doctor. LOL for about 5 minutes with the doctors (lots of Drives in Madison). "Gira a la derecha en el Carns Doctor" Any quality control before selling this?

5. Points of interest seem to work well. You can find restaurants, gas stations easily. However, even here I stumbled upon surprises. I have a Mobil speedpass so I decided to have it find a Mobil Station. I know Madison so well that I know where all the Mobils are (almost) so I was surprised to find that it had found a new one.

I remember thinking that: 'There can't possibly be a Mobil there'. But why not try. So I follow it and it leads me through a dark residential area. Finally it errupts - on a quiet suburban street: "Arriving at Mobil". Funny. This can't be blamed on stale points of interest since I sincerely doubt there has ever been any thing commerical on the entire street.

Nevertheless it seems like a fun toy and I'll excuse it's (mostly hilarious quirks). The real verdict will come when I use it for long trips. Like when I have to drive across half the country (exaggerating a bit). That would be tomorrow - which was the impulse that made me buy it. Help me Nav. Maybe it has a talking mode to keep me awake...

...I wonder how many typos I've made typing this...and for that matter how many embarrassing typos are no my photostream in general...

Just like the steps in the above photo...

This photo was taken at the wedding of my friends Jennie and Rob. Also the same wedding from the "Over Your Shoulder" photo in the stream here.

Anyways - this is a bit of a rant - so buckle up and try to follow me...

First - I had made it a rule a while back to NOT bring big DSLR equipment to friends weddings that I was clearly a GUEST and not there to help out or supply images to the friends because they needed something... except this wedding left me stranded without my Point & Shoot because it was dead... I hate that... TOTALLY HATE THAT.

2. If you don't do what you love and only love some of what you do - then life is going to get in the way of that smaller portion of loving what you want to do ... because what you want to do needs to be scheduled. As I was at this wedding I received a phone call from a photographer that I'd like to call a friend - but we're just on facebook and even though I have helped him out twice in the past - the relationship is mostly technology and less inperson. Anyways - I was asked if I was free on Saturday - he was in a pinch and needed help. I knew I had to ask the wife - and because I knew I had to ask the wife - I wouldn't and couldn't expect someone to hold on and wait for my life - while their business Life needs an answer. Not being able to go out and do what I love and almost more importantly doing it with someone that I hold in high-regard - really pisses me off... Here's a quote from a text message I sent a fellow photographer.

"It sucks that I love to document the very thing that gets in my way to shoot"

And it does suck... but in the end - I did get to have an awesome saturday afternoon with my wife and daughter. Learning from a senior photographer and picking up information will have to wait...

3. Finally - As I attended this wedding and watched my friends wedding photographers work - I was impressed with their control of the room. This room is HELL for a photographer.. ITS HELL... well - I think there is a room worse - but I've never shot in it - only heard stories about its black ceiling... ANYWAYS - this room is DARK WOOD, its rather pretty and intense - but ITS A MESS for a photographer. These guys handled it well. A big powerful strobe in the far corner, 45 degree up into the dark wood. A photographer with a silly stofen on his on camera flash and triggered another strobe on a stick that an assistant carried around. The second shooter even had his OCF (Off Camera Flash) going too - he had what looked like another 580 or something on the SECOND LEVEL (those upstairs you see in this photo) and was triggering that as well.

Where is the rant you might be asking after reading all of that of which you didnt care about ?

The rant is that these 3 guys look liek someone ran over their grandmothers on their grandmothers way to freaking Bingo... Holy Crap. Dudes - you're at freaking wedding - could you look, just remotely kind of interested in whats happening around you ?

I am sure their images will be fine - even great - I'd love to see the dramatic lighting created with all the different off camera lights created - but wow - I'd really like to see people who want to be there... not people who are upset that they aren't at the beach...

I doubt anyone will even read all of this...

Mmmmm... a good, old fashioned Italian rant, just like Mom's family used to make.

As you stare into the hypnotic eyes of Megumi Shimizu, I announce that my first commentary ever will be uploaded on blip.tv.

Here's the backstory:

LifeInATent is a Youtube Partner that gained Internet infamy when he made a video about the recent tragedy in Japan. He has pissed off many people for one simple reason: He used ad revenue to make money off the tragedy that is ongoing in Japan.

I decided to make a commentary on his earthquake video after he decided to false flag other people's videos that criticized him for making the video, whether it's for "hate speech" (his reasoning is that commentaries = trolling, which is a bullshit statement) or copyright claims, even though the videos he flagged fall under fair use, because the people are voicing their thoughts about the video. Not to mention, that he went after a 14-year-old British kid named LeebzVlogging by threatening to flag the kid's video down. That is what pushed me to this point. He got butthurt because he got called out by a 14-year-old kid, and decided to harass him. Worst of all, he did the video to gain subscribers, thumbs up, and views; in the scumbag's words regarding the tragedy: "Thumbs up for this EPIC earthquake!"

LifeInATent is lower than scum for doing that. His attempts at censoring others by removing comments on his videos, other people's videos, and false flagging the videos, sicken me to no end.

I apologize for the long rant, but I had to get this off my chest. Exploiting an international tragedy for monetary gain and popularity is the worst thing any human being can do.

Anyways, I'll post the link to my commentary when it's finished.

EDIT: Here it is....

An example of what passes for a cup of coffee these days - a variation on a milky drink that, only if you are lucky, will retain a hint of the coffee taste! Gone are the days when coffee shops smelt of coffee, where the beans were roasted on site, filling the air with the gorgeous aroma. Where you could buy fresh roasted beans from 30 or more varieties.

If you asked for Peaberry or a Java or a Blue Moutain, etc in Costas, Star Bucks or the other corporate milk bars they would have no idea you wanted a real coffee.

OK end of rant, got it of my chest, thant you for your forebearance!

Mary: "I think it's hilarious! The pictures of me learning dances from LaVern for my next movie being peddled by papers as dirty! It's so crazy, I just had to laugh as Mommy was ranting about how awful the press is, saying maybe we should drop everything and send me out to reporters dressed up in some kind of Rebecca of Sunnybrooke Farm outfit acting like I'm still a little kid. Well, that's not how she put it but..."

"I'm just learning stuff and having fun and LaVern is the bee's knees, so funny, smart, down-to-earth, pretty, serious, talented, and...I admire her because she's kind of fearless. Or maybe even if she gets scared about something, she just keeps going. I want to be that kind of person."

"That's funny...I was going to say 'performer' but I said 'person'; I do really look up to her, more than I ever anticipated..."

Okay, so all of you jemi haters are really getting me mad. Those things you guys told Demi were SO uncalled for. Im sorry to break you heart or crush your dream but Joe will NEVER date you! you're probably like 12. hes 20 YEARS OLD. Let him be happy! look how happy he is with Demi. Shutup and let them be.

----

Haters who are THREATING to KILL Demi?! SERIOUSLY?! you can not be more mature?! im sure Joe really loves that you guys are threatening to KILL his girlfriend. and the ones who are all,

'Joe, you broke my heart.'

'Demi, you lied to us!'

FEELINGS CHANGE. get over it!

Leave them alone. Do you HONESTLY think they would date for publicity? are they the kind of people who would? Have they done it before? No. they're sweet people and would NOT do stuff for more fame! so shut up and take it in that they are in love and get over it.

First off in response to some rants I've seen on flickr lately(Though I will not name the person who said it)

-Fact:You were NOT the first person on flickr to have twin rpcs,Ge tover yourself I've been on flickr for lamsot 2 years(WOW!Though I've had many different name sand acconts) and I've had them before you even joined :D

-Fact:Everyone puts lyrics under their pics,And again I'e been doing it since before you joined,Dont get upset because you think their'steling the idea' from you because you did not invent it,In fact when i started doing live action edits then everyone else did it I did NOT complain because Im well aware I was not the FIRST,Even though it pissed me off because no one started doing it till I did

------

NOW!:D Back to my rant,Its rather short.

WHenever I make a look someone has to go and do ALMOST the same thing its annoying and uncreative(HInt,hint:Why I change my look so much)

AND WHen Id my most recent Fetish x Daisuke pic The title was original(One of the most original titles I've done) and the SOMEONE had to steal it,Even my fave coupke name in it (Replacing the fet part wih their arpcs name) AND the evenmade a new rpc,Looking like daisuke(Kinda) named DAISUKE (Daisuke will rant about this later because I have already informed him of this) Daisuke is understandably pissed.

As,am I Do to the fact the TITLE was mine and they stole it :\ also stealing my combination of names but replacing fet with their rpc.

So, I'm a bit pissed off and I shall now rant. You don't have to read, you can just enjoy the picture of the pretty sunset happening outside.

I hate society. It's like you can't even piss without saying you're doing it wrong. I'm tired of people rideculing evething I say and do. So what I have fucking red hair. Do you have a problem with that? Would you like to kick me for Kick A Ginger Day? GO AHEAD. I'll remember it when you're working for me. Do you have a problem with the way I dress? The way I love to mix and match crazy patterns and colors? Well, suck my dick. I have my own creative style and I'm sorry if I don't want to walk around in skin tight booty shorts and shirts you can see right through to your boobs. I'm not a slut. Oh wait, you don't like the way I love to draw anime and write strange stories? Well, I'd rather be writing about what prostitutes do, instead of beng one like most of you skankbags in my school. You say I have beaver buck teeth? Well, I'd rather have buck teeth from having a pacifier than having it for sucking on too many guys dicks.

So start talking about me, spread more rumors. You think I care? HA. I laugh in your botox filled faces. I love being my weird, strange self, and you whores won't change that. You think you can tear me down? TRY. I DARE YOU. Because when we're older and your working at McDonalds while I work as a famous director, I'll be SURE to order fries with that. Remember me while you rot in Hell for what you did to me, and other people. Because I sure as Hell won't remember you.

Now, let's move on to what happens on here on Flickr. So, you don't like my photos? Think they're shit? Well, that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. But remember, I'm entitled to saying how stupid your opinion is. I may not be the perfect photographer, I admit that freely. I've had my share of horrible flukes and photos, but that doesn't mean I'm a shithole photographer. IMPERFECTIONS AR EWHAT MAKE PEOPLE, AND PHOTOS, PERFECT. So, go ahead, hate on my photos and my dolls. Hate the way that I'm in tenth grade and I still love toys. Make fun of me. Because honestly, I couldn't give a shit. I love what I do and I'm proud of my dolls.

Well, that's about in. In conclusion, I love being the freaky, weirdo, doll loving, photo taking, imperfectly perfect person I am. If you don't like it please go stand in that line over there -->. Why? because that's the line of people that are waiting for me to give them a fuck. It's a long line isn't it? So, ya'll shut the fuck up about my life and talk about something else. Because this freak has a voice. And she knows how to use it.

RANT OVER.

This rant was made for my own venting. I tagged two people in it because well, they want me to xD And disreguard all the swearing, it made me feel better. Hope you enjoy it. Please, comment what you feel about it. I'd love to see it. Remember, the line of awaiting fucks to give can always get longer.

REMEMBER: YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL PERSON, INSIDE AND OUT. DON'T LET THE HATERS BRING YOU DOWN. USE YOUR VOICE. THAT'S WHY GOD GAVE YOU ONE. I'M HERE FOR ANYBODY WHO NEEDS TO TALK. I LOVE ALL MY FLICKR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTS! <3

In sheffield the bus war with Stagecoach continues with both First and Stagecoach having run advertising gimmicks with local radio station Hallam FM. Now the upper deck front window on all First deckers is getting this circular advert plastered to the nearside making forward visibility from the front seats on that side of the bus impossible. However getting on this bus could win you £2000!

What a complete load of B******S!

Seen here on WEG 37478 YN08NLU on the route it has been branded for - the 75, picking up outside Tesco's in Woodseats on the last leg of the journey to Jordanthorpe ./ Batemoor on 10th November 2012.

This year, the incoming freshmen line up straight out the door and run into the table, instead of bending the line and keeping against the wall. That's kind of stupid.

t is for tape, tie, and theory

A rant.

This one's all too real and therapeutic, so if you're not in the mood please move on to another stream and visit mine another day :)

What would you do for money, for a paycheque? How much would you endure before you say enough is enough? The world's been strange lately, and I fear things are going to get a whole lot stranger!

Many are losing their jobs. It's happening in every country. It's sad, depressing, and stressful. Yet, I've bore witness to things stranger still. The power that the current state of affairs is giving to those who employ us. It's being used to threaten, to intimidate, to control. To enslave!

My current state of affairs is far from ideal. I've been educated and trained to question, to look at all sides of a story, to voice my opinion. And if I don't agree, I was taught to say so. But not right now, I might lose my job. That's the short end of it all.

Or I may just have to leave, because while I may be an employee, I'm no slave!

P.S. The proverbial sh*t has hit the fan, I may not be as present as I want to be. Forgive me!

just arrived 41 hours later thanks to amazone prime

but this bugs me. Sorry for the long story and rant.

I collect coins that interest me. In 2020, I purchased a 400th Mayflower anniversary coin from the British Royal Mint because the US mint ran out. I learned that the royal mint produces some cool commemorative coins. This year, they actually had a 250th Anniversary coin commemorating the start of the American Revolution before the US mint, which is shown in this photo. "The Shot Heard Round the World." But guess what... I could not purchase it directly from the Royal Mint because they no longer ship to the US. I found this one on ebay. Thank you DJT and tariffs.

Now I've learned the US mint is considering a 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) commemorative circulating coin with this (ugly) president's face, I find this totally unacceptable, and it may go against the law about considering recommendations of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, established by 31 U.S. Code § 5135. Just one small thing, a coin, among all the craziness going on in 2025, but I had to say something.

Firstly I apologise for my language but I am absolutely fuming! I need a bloody rant and I need one now! My Grandad is in hospital after a fall and he's hurt his back. He had the usual wait for a bed and has been in there 2 days. He is 89 and very frail yet the nurses dont give a shit. He cant sit up properly and they move him around like he's a rag doll, and he hasnt eaten for 2 days because noone checks that he is ok and they just leave the food on his tray just out of his reach and because he cant move he cant feed himself and noone helps him, so he's gone without, they just dont care. He's on a ward with other elderly people and its so sad its boiling hot, theres no fans, my Grandad only has one pillow, they keep telling him to sit up even though he cant, theres bed pans everywhere full up and theres a lady with severe dementia wondering round asking for help! Its obscene I cant believe it, my Mums asked 3 times for them to make sure he eats all it would take is 2 seconds for them to move the food tray closer to him but they wont. They leave them without water and when my Grandad finally got some he accidentally dropped it and the nurse shouted at him saying she could have slipped on it! He's fucking bed bound whats he goin to do crawl along the floor and get a fecking tissue? My Grandad is a proud man, he doesnt want to make a fuss, he fought in WW2 for this country and this is how our elderly gets treated it sickens me its not just my grandad so many old people are being treated like this it make me so mad! My Mums in bits bless her!

Sorry for the rant my friends but I had to get it off my chest he might be in there for 10 days as his cancer might be back and he's going to come out iller than he was going in ggggrrrr!

A view from the Old High Street of Britain's tallest and most easterly wind turbine.

My two cents on retouching. From every corner of the public space we are presented with pictures of beatiful people, smiling to us to make us by some product or other. Not only are models quite young, but for instance the skin has been retouched to make it perfect. At least perfectly boring. Yes! Boring, boring, boring. E.g. what part of this pictures is the most interesting to your eye?

Basicaly a screencap so i can replay to pullipinsider...

Firstly Requiem is only one person, what other's chose to say is not something she can controll. second requiem did say very few things about you and your mother but what we gleened form this was that you are both insane, and as im sure you and maaaaaaany other people will rember you infact said you liked how it was going in the inprogress pictures. i would link but since Requiem blocked you they all got deleted not unlike the comments i made to you on the pic..

As for Requiem being unprofessional i think you are very severly wrong, she is one of the best people in the pullip hobby

Anything you wish to reply will not be deleted and you will not be blocked
