Okay all this drama is getting annoying. There are some things I feel like no one is understanding. First off to target the drama in general. If you don't like the drama and want to avoid it then don't put yourselves in situations where it may happen. Now if you look at my stream you will notice something. NO DRAMA. Now I may not get as much attention compared to alot of the other people in the lego community but there is no drama and I like it that way. That brings me to another point, popularity.
I see it happen WAY to much. A person will post a picture saying "Hey guys what do you want me to build". That pisses me off beyond belief. DON'T BUILD TO PLEASE OTHERS! Just build for your own pleasure. To see the types of things you can make. To see how far your efforts can go. While having 100's of screaming fanboys must be fun it is just a cool little side effect. The only time you should build for others is when you want to sell something.
Also I hate all the people leaving. It's one thing to leave but when your reason is because other people are leaving that's just stupid. You can't really get to much more hypocritical. All you are doing then is creating more people wanting to leave for the same stupid purpose. How about instead of leaving you stay and contribute to the community in a way that you make it better? And if you are leaving because lots of great builders aren't active. Well there are always more coming in.
It wasn't that long ago that we didn't have Wimbe, Carson Hart, Magus and many others. You have to try to find them. I am always finding new people who are great. Alot of times they just need a little help. I remember when Magus only had two faves a pic. They were from me and ToyWiz who was always added. Now look at how many he gets. I found Wimbe when his first build didn't even have a comment and now he has forever changed the mech building comunitty.I found Carson Hart when hew literally only had one comment and look how far he has come! Now basically every other day I find new people with amazing potential. How about instead of complaining at the amount of inactive good builders there are you try to find new ones and help them. If you see a "noob" who needs instead of trolling how about you help him? Give advice on anything he/she needs help on. If we all do this then maybe the Flickr Lego community can be brought back to how it used to be!
Please read all of this and copy and paste the rant on your stream!
AND NO SPAM!
I like to have fun on my stream but this just isn't one of those pictures.
Another local band, but with a much bigger budget. I've seen these all over the country.
When I was little, the signs said 'Slow Children'. My dear mother would point and say that this was where the intellectually disadvantaged kids lived.
She meant well. Political correctness hadn't been pounded into people yet. Good thing, too - she would have spent a long time in the reeducation camps.
Here's a quick personality test. If you think this sign means to be careful not to run the little darlings over, well, you're a very nice person and should probably be a kindergarbage teacher.
If you think the sign means to avoid the area at night because the young thugs might beat you to a bloody pulp for your watch, you're probably a fan of Grumpy Cat and are in desperate need of a hug.
Yeah, occasionally I work from home. Sometimes I help mind the store when I'm not on the clock. We're a 24x7x365 operation, but support can be spotty after normal business hours and on weekend and holidays.
I'm also passionate about my job. I rant. I rave. I curse blue thunder. I've even invented curses. I have little patience for incompetence and for people who are not passionate about their work.
This is me, contemplating the latest episode of professional nitwittery.
I took this photo in 2009, graffiti stating abuse to herself in her own hometown, Camden. everyone was totally oblivious to the fact that she would have died soon, and not knowing that she would die this year. i think it's kinda sick, the way everyone used to insult her, hate on her just because the way she lived her life. however now that she has passed away, everyone seems to preach that they loved her and her music? why do people do this, I don't understand.. maybe some sorta feeling bad for what they used to say or think. not knowing the damage it can do to someone.
RIP Amy Winehouse
definitely one of my favourite musicians and inspirations, always loved her and her image - never condoned the drugs or alcohol abuse but that was her own problems. i think people are only realising now from her hidden album that was found and released, how good she actually was.

Leprosy (Hansen's Disease) is a chronic infectious disease that primarily affects the peripheral nerves, skin, upper respiratory tract, eyes, and nasal mucosa (lining of the nose).
The disease

It creates horrific deformities in the sufferer.

Hey dog owners: Your dog off a leash is a threat to wildlife, and a threat to me. This dog here has a leash, but you let him run free. Why? This is not an OFF-LEASH AREA!
Next time, I'll blow my rape whistle.
It won't be a fun day in the park for you then, will it?
Please respect others and do right by your dog. Keep him on a leash until you get to the off-leash area.
URBAN APATHY: A Gift from our friends at Clear Channel Outdoor, Northwest Trek and [i forget which design firm]--A sad stretch of Sprague in Tacoma Washington.
One of these signs is 'distressed' on purpose. ironically making it blend in instead of break out of any norm.
ps. I hate billboards.
- - - EMAIL TO CAPTIVEYAK FROM PRESIDENT OF BAN BILLBOARD BLIGHT - - -
Thanks for sending this. I’ve been following the Tacoma situation with some interest since coming across an article a few years ago about Clear Channel’s Constitutions Matter signs.
But whether or not people think digital billboards are bad, or that the swap is a good deal, everyone ought to be concerned about the apparently subversion of public process. Since you seem familiar with what’s going on here in L.A., you probably know that the same thing happened here in 2006, when the city council approved—without any public debate—a lawsuit settlement with Clear Channel and CBS Outdoor that would have allowed them to convert 840 billboards to digital. A smaller billboard company then sued the city, and last fall a judge overturned the settlement. It’s now in the Appeals Court, but most legal observers believe that the judgment will be upheld, because there’s repeated legal precedent that cities have to follow established procedures—notification, hearings, etc.—before making these kind of decisions.
While there are differences in land use law from state to state, I suspect the same general principles may apply in Washington, and there may be a legal case for challenging the settlement on the grounds that it didn’t go through the proper public process. Unfortunately, fighting these big, litigious deep-pocketed companies in court is a daunting task.
You also may be interested to know that there’s been a drawn-out battle over digital billboards in Durham, N.C., and the city council there just voted unanimously not to allow them. I suppose that a billboard company lawsuit will be the next chapter of that story. What’s actually happening, court-wise, is that that the billboard industry keeps putting forth the argument that any limitations on billboards are unconstitutional. While various courts, including the Supreme Court, have rejected this argument and allowed restrictions, all the way up to total bans, the industry is obviously hoping that if they keep suing they may eventually get a sympathetic hearing and a ruling that commercial speech and individual speech are both fully protected.
Best,
Dennis

Listen guys, I've been on this page for about 2 years. I've worked really hard, on and off of Flickr. I love wrestling shoes. I've worked summer jobs, spent birthday money, sold a bunch of valuables just to get my brother rulons. I try and try to sell on here, but I feel like I never get any offers, because I'm not havin too many legit comments. Is it because my backgrounds are different? It's because I just left for college, I left a lot of shoes at home and now have a different place I'm living. The thing is I wanna make this a business, and a big hobby. But I'm never gonna get deals because I never have any legit comments. I just wanna do deals and have fun, but for the past two years it hasn't been like that.
Why I'm becoming disillusioned with English football.
First of all, I have two footballing passions, The Fortress (above) and The Abbey.
I attended my first match at Fortress Portman Road in 1975, My first trip to the Abbey came in the 1976/77 season. I have remained loyal to both these teams ever since (not good when they both played in the same league though a few years back).
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with certain aspects of the game and inparticular those higher up the scale.
1) Those in charge are trying to make football a non contact sport and there now appears to be ruling that means you can no longer tackle, whats wrong with a good strong challenge, so long as you win the ball and do not go out to injure your opponent. Lets return to physical as well as skillful, surely these over paid prima donnas can do both?
2) That leads me into my next rant... Cheating. Managers don't like it when it costs them the game but say nothing when one of their own 'stars' does it to win them the game. Lets get rid of the cheats. If a player goes down rolling about and screaming like a little girl when they have not been touched, then jump up when the free kick has been given or the opposition player has been booked/ sent off, then they should suffer the same fate for unsporting behaviour. Feigning head injuries appears to be a big thing now.
3) Footballers that complain about having too many games in a season and yet when they do get a break, they and their team will jet off all around the world to play in a lucrative match. In several cases now they are so sheltered they are becoming more distant to the genuine fans.
4) Get rid of them 'snoods' , wear a thermal vest and long johns instead. (and if I had my way i'd make all footballers wear the same colour boots).
5) Us the long suffering supporters;
We pay our money, sometimes an extortionate amount to turn up to cheer on our teams. We don't expect to be entertained, though just occaisionally it would be nice :)
What do we get? We are critised if dare to open our mouths and disagree with the manager's decision. The manager will tell all those that paid their money that HE knows more about football than the 30,000 who tried to point out he'd made a mistake, very rarely is there an apology.
When the team are playing poorly it is the fans who are critised for not getting behind their teams. Sorry but we do, there comes a point though when nothing the fans do will lift the team. I don't agreeing with booing individuals but I can understand why.
Even in our case at the fortress the local press and a former footballer of the club has had a go at the fans, both of which have probably never had to pay to get into the matches and both of whom are treated to free half time refreshments and well looked after.
Today, Roy hodgson has done himself no favours at all by critising those loyal Liverpool fans who have had to put up with alot recently. Those same fans will then be critised by the club if they chose to stay away from future games and attendances drop.
How nice would it be if a football club turned around and said "sorry you've had to endure rubbish this season we will refund a percentage of your entrance fee".
6) Television coverage; All I want to do is to turn up and watch a game, possibly talk about the game on the walk home and be done. We don't need every kick, sneeze and spit analized by former one time 'average' footballers sitting in a studio with 20 different camera angles. No wonder the referees union won't talk to the press when every decision they make is dissected by the studio in super slo-mo just to prove that the ref got it wrong. We know officials make mistakes, but some we wouldn't even have noticed in the past without the advent of cameras in every corner. Also why don't the studio guests stand up and say "oi, 'so and so' you cheated" instead of saying "there was intent or possible mearest of touches".ITV commentators are possibly the worst for 'buying' rubbish decisions and believing the cheats! ITV, they are CHEATING! (Maybe you should commentate on WWE wrestling instead, right up your street).
7) The european competitions, can we go back to the old style knockout competitions please instead of 'Champions league' etc. Surely Champions means just that and not several other teams from the same leagues.
8) Giving Qatar the world cup finals in 2022, surely this is an 'own goal' by those doddering old fools considering the World cup is largely sponsored by alchohol companies and that country strickly forbids the drinking of such things.
Rant over and I will be out at the weekend supporting my teams come rain, sleet or snow, like many hundreds of thousands more up and down the country, and good luck to your teams, unless they are up against either Cambridge United or Ipswich Town ;-)
these signs puzzle many a rider on the mbta... someone did a good job with their rant stickers.
(they're serious about the hazard, btw; I got my heel caught in one the other day and it really stung!)
scowl.
I have a narrow face and mongolian nose and thus am hard to fit. I loved my last glasses as they turned up just a little like cat's eye glasses but weren't full on tilted and that's how I like them. I also liked that they were brown tortoise shell. These ones are black. I thought my last glasses were too small. and they were, but these are a bit too big. I do like the shape, they aren't straight rectangle. They do have magnetic sunglasses attachment which I like because my old glasses didn't and I spent alot of time squinting. My last ones had anti-glare coating. These ones don't which makes it hard to photograph with them on and I want to be a groovy girl in glasses in some of my photos but I can't. I called about getting ant-glare coating but I would have to send glasses away for a week. I don't have another pair and I can't wear contacts from first thing to last thing and I AM VERY BLIND.
I am stuck with these glasses until I can afford a new pair and I hate them. That sucks. I wear them every day. Because I hate contacts more. and lasers even more.
I finally figured out what is wrong with some of my cotton lawn: It is NOT LAWN. Grrr! Shaukat.co.uk are passing off satin weave cotton as lawn. It pills! They have this huge section of "Italian lawn", out of which only some are plain weave! I have just emailed them asking for a refund or replacement. Their customer service is questionable, so I'm not sure it will work out.
Somebody please confirm that satin weave fabrics cannot be referred to as lawn?
For reference...
1 - Cotton blend from Lillestrøm Sysenter
2-3 - Cotton voile
4 - Imperial Batiste X-mas
5 - Kaufman Cambridge cotton lawn red
6-7 - Cotton voile
8 - Imperial Batiste navy
9 - Cotton voile
10 - Kaufman Savannah lawn
11 - Kaufman Cambridge cotton lawn dusty pink
12 - Loose weave voile, not sure of origin
2-11 are from fabric.com.
Shaukat actually did answer my email after a few days, saying things like "we've had no issues with this fabric". I had to tell them a few times "Satin weave is not lawn" and I think they got it, but who knows. I cannot buy this fabric from them again.
I was really excited to find out, I got this book in the mail today! :D Yay! Now I will have something to read on the plane! Which is..Tuesday. :) So excuse my absence, between the 27th and 7th.
Also, I'm sorry for the HUGE upload today. I just had (have) a lot of pictures to put up, and I still am editing and organizing other ones! So yeah, I just want to say sorry for the massive upload, please don't hate me!
Annnnnnd, I'm thinking about a print giveaway. They seem to be a lot of work, but hey I have to say thank you somehow. :) Anyways, I was just thinking about it, so comment and let me know what you think!

An unnamed feminine hygiene product company (they don't even deserve any form of advertisement) claims that their packaging makes no sound when being opened. I'd heard about and seen this before, and always ridiculed it for being the dumbest marketing ploy ever.
Why is it the dumbest marketing ploy ever? Just think about it: Pads, being what they are, probably would never be opened anywhere but in a bathroom. Do you ever see any girls changing their pads in a lecture hall? In a library? In a movie theater? (I hope not.) WHERE would it be necessary to avoid making any sound? In a public restroom, when there's someone in the stall next to you? You would most likely be in the women's restroom, where everyone will get/gets/used to get their periods. WHO do you need to hide this from? Even in the event that you're one of those women who feel embarrassed about acknowledging the menstrual cycle in any way around men, you wouldn't have to worry about it. So WHY would the average Jane, neither superspy nor female ninja, need a Quietest Pouch?
I bought a pack the other day because they were on sale and therefore the cheapest option within reason (i.e., without getting into the range of diapers and/or unreliable pieces of paper). The packaging, as you can see, is made of somewhat gauzy (gauze-y?) material. So I opened it up—and announced to everyone on Flickr that I am currently on my period; oh well—and guess what?
IT SOUNDED JUST LIKE ANY OTHER PAD-PACKAGING THAT I'VE EVER OPENED.
The End.

Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of my Ranger Regiment.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster, and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong, and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one hundred percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress, and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might.
Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission, though I be the lone survivor.
Rangers lead the way
and now feel as though... we should make our presidents follow this creed. I mean really, it's sad what they do nowadays. but anyway, I'd just really like them to obey that completely, and risk impeachment if they don't it'd sure fix up our country fast, and putin would not have his hand on top in our country.
rant over.

Tom Crisp was aboard his fathers boat, the Q-ship Nelson in the action that would see his father win a Victoria Cross. Thomas senior would die in his arms, and the young Tom would then take command of the boat for the remainder of the action.
This picture appeared in the edition of the Norwich Mercury dated Saturday, November 10, 1917, accompanying an article on the award of the V.C.

Maryann………..aged 7……..born Lowestoft
Louisa…………..aged 2……..born Lowestoft
There is no obvious match for his future wife on this census
1891 Census of England and Wales
The is no obvious match for Thomas – however he would have been old enough to have been at sea.
His parents, William, (42) and Mary A, (41), were recorded living at 17 Seago Street, Lowestoft. Children living with them are:-
William…..aged 19….Bakers Assistant
Louisa…….aged 12
Lydia……..aged 9

Frederick…aged 5…..born Lowestoft
Elizabeth…aged 4…………born Lowestoft
George E ...aged 9 months…born Lowestoft
They also have a niece living with as a Housekeeper, the 14 year old Elizabeth Nunn.
The most likely match for his future wife is the 13 year old Harriett Alp, born Burgh St Peter, Norfolk, who was recorded living at a dwelling on Beccles Road, Aldeby, Norfolk. This was the household of her widowed grandmother Harriett Wright, (aged 62 and a Charwoman from Aldeby). Harriet Wright has a son living with her, a 41 year old single Fisherman Samuel Alp, (born Aldeby). She also has another grand-daughter living with her – the 8 year old Emily Burroughs, born Wheatacre, Norfolk.

However I suspect he lied about his age as this does not tie in with any of the civil records.
The birth of a Thomas William Crisp was recorded in the Loddon District of Norfolk in the January to March quarter, (Q1), of 1899.
Loddon District included Burgh St Peter

Harriett Victoria May….aged 13….born Lowestoft
Thomas William……….aged 12….born Wheatacre, Norfolk
Charles Montgomery…aged 6 months…born Lowestoft.
Post August 1911 it became compulsory when registering a birth with the Civil Authorities in England and Wales to also record the mothers maiden name. A search of the General Registrars Office Index of Births for England and Wales 1911-1983 brings up just on match for a child registered with the surname Crisp, mothers maiden name Alp, and that was a Margaret E, registered in the Mutford District in the January to March quarter, (Q1), of 1914. Given the date and location its very likely this was another child of Thomas and Harriett.
12th June 1917 – death of Harriett.
Date from the headstone.
The local council have put the cemetery records online. The 39 year old Harriett Elizabeth Crisp of 27 Stanford Street, Lowestoft, wife of Thomas Crisp, was buried on the 16th June 1917.

On the day
Skipper Thomas Crisp's award of a posthumous Victoria Cross in 1917, when in command of a small sailing Q-ship, is one of the most personal and poignant. As he lay dying, his side split open by shell-fire, his last words to his son were, "Tom, I'm done. Throw me overboard."
That action led to the loss of two smacks. Skipper Crisp was the only man killed on HM Q-Ship Nelson, but all were lost on HMS Q-Ship Ethel and Millie.
The London Gazette 20 November 1918
(Fuller account following the Armistice)
from the Admiralty
With reference to announcements of the award of the Victoria Cross to naval officers and men for services in action with enemy submarines, the following (is the account of the action for which this award was made) —
Action of H.M. Armed Smack Nelson on the 15th August, 1917.
On the 15th August, 1917, the Smack Nelson was engaged in fishing when she was attacked by gunfire from an enemy submarine. The gear was let go and the submarine's fire was returned. The submarine's fourth shot went through the port bow just below the waterline, and the seventh shell struck the skipper, Thomas Crisp, partially disembowelling him, and passed through the deck and out through the side of the ship. In spite of the terrible nature of his wound Skipper Crisp retained consciousness, and his first thought was to send off a message that he was being attacked and giving his position. He continued to command his ship until the ammunition was almost exhausted and the smack was sinking. He refused to be moved into the small boat when the rest of the crew were obliged to abandon the vessel as she sank, his last request being that he might be thrown overboard.
(The posthumous award of the Victoria Cross to Skipper Thomas Crisp, D.S.C., R.N.R., 10055 D.A., was announced in London Gazette No. 30363, dated the 2nd November, 1917.)
An Account of the Action
Wednesday 15 August 1917
North Sea
Admiralty hired smacks Nelson, also Ethel and Millie operating as Q-ships, sunk in action with U.63, leading to the award of a posthumous VC to Nelson's skipper:
G. & E., also known as Bird, Extirpator, Foam Crest, I’ll Try, Ledger No.929, Nelson, S.3 (H - listed as Nelson), operating as Nelson, special service/submarine decoy/Q-ship, fishing smack, c61/1905, Lowestoft-reg LT649, taken up 8/8-9/15 and again 22/1/16, probably only armed with 1-3pdr at this time, auxiliary engined by 8/17, Skipper T Crisp RNR, on patrol, fishing on Jim Howe Bank with trawl shot. Submarine sighted at 1445, 3 or 4 miles away, opened fire and although Nelson was hopelessly outranged, she replied. Started to receive hits and take in water, seventh shell went through the skipper's left side, mortally wounding him, Second Hand Tom Crisp, his son, took over command. Nelson continued firing until nearly out of ammunition, crew abandoned ship, tried to lift the skipper into the boat but his only response was "Tom, I'm done, throw me overboard". They left him on board, Nelson was shelled until she sank off Mabelthorpe, Lincs; only the skipper was lost, Ethel & Millie beckoned the survivors on board but they continued rowing west, next day they sighted minesweeper Dryad and other sweepers, but were not seen, then on the Friday made fast to the Jim Howe Bank buoy and in the afternoon finally rescued by Dryad. Skipper Thomas Crisp RNR was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross, Second Hand Thomas Crisp the DSM
ETHEL & MILLIE, also known as Boy Alfred, Ledger No.929, S.3, possibly Ethel and Emily, special service/submarine decoy/Q-ship, fishing smack, 58/1908, Lowestoft-reg LT200, taken up 1/2/17, 1-6pdr, 7 crew, Skipper William “Johnsey” Manning. After Nelson was sunk, UC.63 turned its attention to Ethel & Millie which was soon hit and stopped, then probably sunk by bomb; 1 officer, 6 ratings lost. According to the younger Thomas Crisp, the crew were picked up by the submarine, and last seen lined up on the foredeck. No survivors were found, only a pigeon message picked up saying she was being attacked by a U-boat. It is suggested they were drowned when the U-boat submerged.
The two smacks were sunk by UC.63 (Commander Oberleutenant Karsten von Heydebreck) on Wednesday, August 15th 1917 over Jim Howe Bank some time after 2.45pm.
UC.63 (Oberleutenant Karsten von Heydebreck) - sunk by Her Majesty’s Submarine E.52 (Albert P Addison, Captain) November 1st 1917, 26 hands lost, one survivor Petty Officer 2nd class Fritz Marshal. Last known position Latitude N51 23.000 Longitude E2 00.000 Goodwin Sands.
UC.63 - Type UC11, Shipyard A G Weser, Breen (Werk 261), ordered 12/01/16, laid down 03/04/16, launched 06/01/17, commissioned 30/01/17.
9 patrols between 27/04/17 and 01/11/17, served with Flandern Flotilla, 36 ships sunk for a total of 36,404 tons.

In July, I'll Try was renamed Nelson and Boy Alfred became Ethel & Millie, in an effort to maintain their cover. The boats continued to operate together and Crisp's crew was augmented with two regular seamen and a Royal Marine rifleman, providing the Nelson with a crew of ten, including Crisp and his son. The smacks set out as usual on 15 August and pulled in a catch during the morning before making a sweep near the Jim Howe Bank in search of cruising enemies. At 2.30 pm, Crisp spotted a German U-boat on the surface 6,000 yards (5,500 m) away. The U-boat also sighted the smack and both vessels began firing at once, the U-boat's weapon scoring several hits before Nelson's could be brought to bear. By this stage in the war, German submarine captains were aware of the decoy ship tactics and no longer stopped British merchant shipping, preferring to sink them from a distance with gunfire.
With such a heavy disparity in armament between the smack's 3 pounder and the submarine's 88 mm deck gun the engagement was short lived, the submarine firing eight shots before the Nelson could get within range of her opponent. The fourth shot fired by the U-boat holed the smack, and the seventh tore off both of Crisp's legs from underneath him. Calling for the confidential papers to be thrown overboard, Crisp dictated a message to be sent by the boat's four carrier pigeons: like many small ships of the era, the Nelson did not possess a radio set.
"Nelson being attacked by submarine. Skipper killed. Jim Howe Bank. Send assistance at once."
The sinking smack was abandoned by the nine unwounded crew, who attempted to remove their captain, who ordered that he should be thrown overboard rather than slow them down. The crew refused to do so, but found they were unable to move him and left him where he lay. He died in his son's arms a few minutes later. It is said that he was smiling as he died and remained so as the ship sank underneath him. The Ethel & Millie had just arrived on the scene as the Nelson sank, and her captain Skipper Charles Manning called for Nelson's lifeboat to come alongside. Realising that this would greatly overcrowd the second boat, the survivors refused and Manning sailed onwards towards the submarine, coming under lethal fire as he did so. His vessel was soon badly damaged and began to sink
The crew of the Ethel & Millie then abandoned their battered boat and were hauled aboard the German submarine, where the Nelson survivors last saw them standing in line being addressed by a German officer. The seven British sailors of the Ethel & Millie were never seen again, and much controversy exists surrounding their disappearance. Prevailing opinion at the time was that they were murdered and dumped overboard by the German crew or abandoned at sea without supplies, but these scenarios cannot be substantiated. Another theory is that they were taken prisoner aboard the boat and killed when the submarine was itself sunk. The son of Arthur Soanes, a sailor who disappeared in this incident, later claimed to have contacted his father through his powers as a spiritual medium, reporting that he had died on board the German vessel. UC 63 has been named as the submarine that sank both vessels.

1979 – death of Thomas William
It may be a co-incidence but the death of a Thomas William Crisp was recorded in the Waveney District of Suffolk in the January to March quarter, (Q1), of 1979. After several local government re-organisations, the area previously part of Mutford District had become part of Waveney District. By this stage the published register also included the date of birth. In this case it is recorded as the 18th February 1899.
The 1979 Probate Calendar records that Thomas William Crisp of 57 Waveney Crescent, Lowestoft, Suffolk died on the 2nd February 1979. Probate was granted at the Ipswich Court on the 23rd May 1979. His estate was valued at £1,327.

It's Back to School today. But with no students for a couple of days.
I have to have a RANT NOW in CAPITAL LETTERS BECAUSE I AM SHOUTING. IF YOU HAVE SEXUAL CONTENT IN YOUR PHOTOSTREAM DON'T COMMENT OR FAVOURITE MY PHOTOS. I AM A TEACHER & I HAVE A DUTY OF CARE TO MY STUDENTS WHO MAY SEE YOUR COMMENTS BEFORE I HAVE A CHANCE TO BLOCK YOU. SO STOP IT.
Thrifted skirt, Old tee shirt from Nasty Landfill shop, three necklaces made by me, 'Payless' shoes
Photos belong to Dollzone and Ringdoll.
So I finally got caught up in the "we're discontinuing all our heads!!!1!!" craziness, as both Dollzone and Ringdoll are dropping a lot of their molds. DZ Moment-Ji is actually on my WL right now (it is! go look!!) and RD Spencer is just a doll I've always liked and wouldn't mind owning.
RD announced their discontinuation a week or so ago, and since I wanted a closed-mouth head for Joker, I thought I'd order both at once (then I had a mild panic over which head since I didn't think Norman light looked enough like Dark to work. Then I decided I didn't care.) and be done with it, except between Ringdoll (who I'd prefer to order from) and MOC neither of them had both sculpts listed. :\\
Then, when Dollzone also announced the discontinuation, I thought I'd order from DDE or MOC and just do a long layaway that way I could pay them off slowly. Same GD thing. Neither dealer has all three DZ heads. Moment-Ji and Ro I want to see if either of them can pull off John Constantine, Marlin I just like.
I'm going to look into Alice Collections and Jeeryama on Ebay now, I've bought from both of them in the past, but not layaway and no dolls from Alice. And I kinda need layaway if I'm buying five freaking heads especially so close to the Iple EID and IOS Chaos head I just bought. urgh.
Also I'm disappointed because Doll Chateau Fergus won't fit on a Dollshe body - he's the head I really wanted for Joker. Because that would be amazing.
And he needs a second head, because the other three have them. :|
Type: Space heavy fighter-bomber
Crew: 1
Length/wingspan: 28 studs/22 studs
Engine(s): 1 Tiren Broad T-34 ion engine
Speed:
Service ceiling: Unlimited
Range:
Weaponry: 4x 0.7in laser cannons and 4 hard points capable of numerous weapons (though usually 4x 2.5 in laser cannons)
The T-57 Stalker is Ranter Tec’s winning entry in the HBC (Heavy Bomber Challenge) issued by the Trynin military as a direct response to the Boeing B-100 Boomerang. Technically the T-57 is fighter-bomber, not a heavy bomber. This break in the rules didn’t matter to the Trynin military who saw great potential in the versatile, heavily armored, single pilot, “heavy” fighter-bomber.
The T-57 was created immediately after the Trynin military issued the HBC and went from schematics to prototype in six month time. It was the first official entry in the HBC but was the last to go through military trials due to problems with the weight and engines. It took the T-57 almost two more years to go into mass production.
When the first T-57 squadrons were first flown in 2076 during the battle of [], they saw little success which was mainly due to their operators not correctly arming the T-57s. For the next year the T-57s would only claim two warships and only a hundred fighter-craft, with a loss of over seven-hundred T-57s. It wasn’t until [general] armed the T-57s with three inch beam cannons did they become success.
The T-57 is heavily armored with eight inch trendmite armor on the sides a two inch coating on the body. It does however lack a shield generator.
The Tiren Broad T-34 ion engines provide the T-57 with over [] pounds of thrust but its heavy armor plating reduce its top speed to [] mph. The broad emplacement (thus the name) of the engines across the whole rear end allows the T-57 to maneuver efficiently but again, its weight reduces its maneuverability. Although it does have two anti-gravity generators to allow atmospheric flight and increase its maneuverability. It also features an experimental magnetic thrust vectoring system to boost maneuverability and speed.
Most anti-aircraft T-57s are armed with the normal four .7 inch laser cannons in the nose and four 2.5 laser cannons in the roots. This gave the T-57 enough stopping power to down a small transport if necessary, and a light enough airframe to maneuver correctly and maintain high enough speeds.
Many of the bomber variants were armed with two .7 inch laser cannons in the upper nose, two 1 inch plasma cannons in the lower nose, and two 3 inch beam cannons in the roots. This arrangement of weapons gave the T-57 almost as much firepower as the Boeing B-100 Boomerang but greatly hinders the maneuverability and speed.
During the end of the Agronomic war the T-57 began to operate more and more as a fighter craft. This was due to the massive amounts of real fighters lost in battle and the arrival of the U-2 Bomber.
The T-57s destroyed twenty-seven warships and over twenty-thousand fighter-craft during the Agronomic War. Today T-57s are the hottest fighter-craft on the market and all but the U.E.C (United Earth Confederation) have at least one squad of T-57s.
here we goo.
