As the snow melts the garden appears. Everything is covered in dead plants and dead grass. Just now, any new growth is small. barely visible, and not vulnerable, so we can rake away and then take the rubbish to our fire spot. Today the wind blew away from our neighbours, and our fire place is still surrounded by snow, so we feel it's safe to burn.

Sunlight, shadows and smoke make a great combination.
